A few problems.
« on: July 12, 2011, 03:18:32 pm »
1. When I download animal meshes from IT, and type in for example bat.mesh and bat.material, it says the material cannot be found and it just comes out with a white figure of a bat.

2. Where do you type in skeleton files in object maker, or do you even type them in at all?

3. My map makers jacked up. When I make a new map, test it, then quit, ALL the objects from a recent map i make are added. And, when i try to test something in Object maker, it crashes, then says something about blah blah is not animated. I uninstalled FH just now, then re-installed it, so I suppose these problems are fixed.

                                  Please help!

1. If your files are in the right place, it should load the material automatically. Being such, it's not bat.material, you type
batMat
for the texture to be applied.

2. You don't.

3. New patch glitch.

1. You have the texture too, right? Where did you put the .material file?
2. You don't type it in anywhere.

3. This is a glitch with the new patch. Can't be fixed. And what about the object maker animation thing? Can you post the error?

Thank you, Ruby. And I don't think the animation problem happens anymore, but anyways, I have no idea what that was all about. And, could I get an example? I download a kitten mesh, and extract the zipped files, copy them, and paste them where? Or, just save the zipped file wheree then extract them?

Get my IT Animal Pack (click for link) and the folders tell you where the continents of the folders go. Once you have all the files in place, start FH and Object Maker and you'll be able to load these meshes in:

bat.mesh
butterfly.mesh
dragonZombie.mesh
duckling.mesh
eagle.mesh
elephant.mesh
fennecfox.mesh
frog.mesh
gazelle.mesh
giraffe.mesh
hare.mesh
hawk.mesh
hummingbird.mesh
kitten.mesh
mantaray.mesh
mouse.mesh
okapi.mesh
panda.mesh
peacock.mesh
penguin.mesh
penguin2.mesh
prayingmantis.mesh
raven.mesh
redpanda.mesh
salmon.mesh
snake.mesh
starfish.mesh
vulture.mesh
wildebeest.mesh
WinterHare.mesh
zebra.mesh

Then if you have all the files in the right place, it will automatically texture them for you. ;)

I have the folders labeled with like to put it in models and textures because a few people have problems with my_objects, but it should work there as well, just make sure you save it were you can find it, and then open the folders and put the files in.
