No map, no People

My friend has a map, I downloaded it. I put it into Exports and made sure it was there, when I entered the map no one was inside. My friend told me that there where about 20 people and more inside but I saw no one.. Is there something wrong with the map? Or is it just my computer? Please help. D::

I'm not so sure this helps, but It happened to someone in a map I was in yesterday too. They think it was the map..But there was at least 12 other people there..None could see him. Someone told me you can try to put the map in Terrains, but I'm not sure how it'll help this problem..It's worth a shot, right? And if it doesn't work, just move it back.
