I missed the summer party because I was at my aunts for that day. I better not miss this. Plus, that was a good movie.

You didn't miss the Summer Party :D It's this month on July 17! :)

I swear that said June 17th. I just... wow. I look like an idiot. Thank you for telling me, tho. xD

Probably just those moderator-wannabes.
Unless they actually do have a headache weakness for capital letters.
(I think not.)

I'd doubt tall letters would ever hurt somebody's eyes unless the font size is 100 and in a bright, neon color. Even the lowercase ones would hurt for that one.

It shouldn't be too surprising. It doesn't matter if it is spam or not, some people just can't stand caps and would try and avoid it. In my opinion, I say it just depends on the person. It seems everyone has a different interpretation of the tone anyone's using in their text, whether it be funny, sarcastic, or downright serious. I don't see caps as being a funny aspect to the given text, I only see it as yelling or a way to stress certain words or phrases. Or perhaps they're freaking out and just- it goes all different ways. But it still doesn't deny the fact that it comes off as annoying to some people and they should just be left alone with their own opinions.

As for those who desire a "quiet chat box," perhaps they're not in the mood for conversation? I've never once seen this situation where people actually don't want to see the chat being filled. It seems kind of rude nonetheless and if they don't enjoy the chatting that's going on, they should move to a different location or map or just hop offline for a little while. But- I'm not too certain what's going on, as I can't see the situation correctly.

I just interpret some uses of caps lock as funny.

And I'm assuming that person was chatting with someone else and didn't want their friends post to be bumped off the screen but they could've easily moved to a deserted place in the map. I witnessed this in Ficho Tunnel so down the waterfall would probably be quieter.

I usually don't mind caps if they're being used in a joking manner or other. However, Mate Center-- oh boy. Mate Center usually spams caps for like, 2 hours straight, and it drives me and the other users crazy.
Anyway, if caps used for humor or else annoys somebody, it's best to just leave them alone.

I haven't been on FeralHeart long enough or seen enough Mate Centers to see them caps spam. I know some capitalize their name, though. It makes sense in a map like Bonfire Island, though, because the chat is constantly moving, but I think the capitalized name is enough.

I typically don't mind caps (Well in Animal Jam, the NPCs talk with EVERY other WORD capitalized for EMPHASIS, so I'M used TO it.) unless someone starts talking in only caps. I usually use it to emphasize words because there is no option for italics. It's just when someone starts spamming, it's like "Do you shout every second of your life? This is really unnecessary." But if it's one sentence it's not that bad.

Honestly if you want a quiet chat, go on a private map or whisper to your friends in Lonely Cave.

That would probably annoy me if I played Animal Jam. Not because it's using caps lock but it's like those people who do this -

Everything I Say Has To Be A Title. Every Time I Do This It Takes Twice As Long For People To Read It Because Every Word Looks Like The Beginning Of A Sentence.

But yeah, I understand you what you mean by spamming. One sentence of caps is probably the max and then it should be toned down for a bit.

Probably just those moderator-wannabes.
I second this.

Probably the people who act like that are not so fun. Don't give them attention. :p lol

I quoted everybody else so I didn't want to leave you out of it. x3
EDIT: I love the personal text below your icon. xD

Thank you all for your thoughts.

A bit of a rant, and this can go for any forums, games, chats, you name it. I want to know why caps makes people so disgusted.

One thing, excessively using it in the chat is obviously annoying because it takes up for space that the average lower case letter and it looks like you're yelling through a chat box. But I'm talking about the one time caps thing where people just use it for one sentence or even a word.

Example:
<p1> Haay.
<p2> Hello.
<p2> *crawls towards*
<p1> DON'T TOUCH ME. *hiss*

^ Yes, people do get mad at that. They won't go on a rampage but they'll say, 'easy with the caps', and what not, when they're obviously not spamming it. Using caps is just to had some humorous effect to some level.

It doesn't happen often, but it still gets on my nerves.

I also don't like to see it when people say they're getting headaches because someone starting talking a bit too much in a quiet chat. Not spamming, just more than average. These people tend to get mad because they like quieter chats for once which is odd because this game is meant for chatting and role-playing.

Example:
<p1> Wow.
<p1> It is quiet.
<p1> You guys alive?
*few moments later*
<p1> Day 2, still no sign of life in the chat box. I am left to feed off scraps of the feedback from connecting users.
<p2> It was better when it was quiet...
<p1> Then go to Lonely Cave.

Chats are better when people are talking. Of course, overflowing, it's a bit too much, but it's better than silence. I usually sit doing nothing because my friends are offline and I like to read off of people's role plays and conversations. (it's not stalking if it's in local)

Yee, so, that's my rant. If you're easily offended by little things, that's okay, that's you, I don't want to change you. But, just try not start a fight.

@Warriorstrike Thank you. I think it's canon. xD

@WarKat Ye, I remember when I first played slender at my aunt's house and I couldn't make it past page 1 or 2. I couldn't find anything and he was always behind me and after page one there would always be that thumping noise and it annoying me and not me nervous.

But I remember once I jumped into a horror game (I forgot the name) because for some reason, that day, I was a bit braver. And I was at this train station and the power went out so I had to fix it and I was walking to the generators and suddenly the word "RUN" appear on my screen and I turn around and there's THIS GIANT MUTANT HUMAN THING chasing after me and I literally froze and it got me. xD

Oh I looked it up and the name is Pesadelo.

Ay, looks like you've stumbled into my autobiography. You're here forever (:

Nah. But I'll keep this simple. I ain't going to go into a huge story about a massive part of my life. I'll start out with the basics tho.

Name: Nixon (not irl lol)

Age: 14

Alive: yes

All done with that. Now for the bigger portion, likes the dislikes.

Likes:

South Park - Favorite T.V. show. I'm currently going back to season one and watching all seasons in order. I also play the video game, South Park: The Stick of Truth. Pretty addicted. A lot of references from old episodes I'm finding now that I'm watching the older seasons.

Guitar - I do take guitar lessons. I'm still a nub at it but I'm getting myself up there. I just recently got a new guitar, a hallowed one, which is electric and acoustic. I'm more for the rock, the heavy metal and all of that music. At the same time, I want to learn more mellow songs that you can just play with the basic chords. Like Rain, by Breaking Benjamin, Soul Sister by Train, or Astronaut by Simply Plan. Why am I rambling on about this?

Team Fortress 2 - My friend mentioned it in school one day and he said it was free on steam and I gave it a try. Even if the community can sometimes be pretty rude, it is still fun to work together with the good teammates and overall just win. Even if you don't win, you can still look back at the moments in the game play where you shrekt someone. I recall this a couple days ago while playing Scout: I had a Force-a-Nature, which induces knockback on you and the enemy when you strike the enemy while you are in midair (it's crazy). I had shot a Demoman in the back and he went flying across the platform we were on, and he flew right into a Spy's backstab. That was teamwork. That was purely amazing. That could shed some manly tears.

Drawing - I'm not good at it, but I do it. I mean, on some level, I am good, but I really wish to do better. And yes, I do try to practice a lot and look up tutorials on animal anatomy and human anatomy and sometimes it helps but I always look at the outline and say: this sucks. I got a DeviantART account since my friend had one and I've been waiting a few weeks to put something on there but nothing appeals to me anymore. I need to stop looking at stuff from amazing artists.

Music - Also known as my safe zone, music is my one way ticket out of anger, sadness, or anything else. It blocks out the outside world and brings you into what you imagine to be playing along with the song. Sort of like a music video, but it can be related towards you, like a situation you could be in. You can also imagine up a story to music and actually, I get inspired to draw by music as well.

The Internet - For the most part I hate the internet, but I still go on it everyday and why? because videogames, the people I've met, some websites I like, and just for pure fun. There's a lot of stuff on the internet that I wish was never there but I just drown it out with the hysterical youtube videos and the great games on the asultswim website.

Fish - I have three female bettas. One of them has been through a lot but she's good now and I'm not going to go into detail with that simply because I'm lazy. My dad also has a sixty five gallon tank that holds tons of community fish and a koi - which I chose out. His name is Pyroshark.

Now, there is much more I like but I'm not gonna state them all. These are the mains.

Dislikes

The Internet - I like it and I hate it. Here's why I hate it: People. I absolutely hate when people "ship" stuff. Which is taking a character, real or naw, and saying that they want this person in a relationship with another person, real or not. This happens everywhere, and I mean everywhere. No matter what game, no matter what story line, no matter if the character is dead, they will "ship" it. It's disgusting. Personally, I think it is overused. I'm fine with it, but we gotta set some boundries here, man. If someone is dead, do not ship them with someone. If it's just for storyline or something where it's like: Oh, he was married to ____ then I'm cool with that but don't dig them out of their grave and make them go on a romantic dance with someone else. No dimension hopping. What that means is you can't take a character from one game, and put them together with another game. If both games are just normal, realistic games with humans then maybe they can meet and you can do that but Batman with someone from Half-Life, is not gonna work. Alright, alright. I just came back to Earth. I'm ranting now. Sorry. I have tons of more reasons why I hate this so much and I'll settle down now. A'ight. I also hate the internet because if one little thing sparks up it becomes the biggest thing online. For instance, Miley Cyrus. She shook her flat butt and people said they were disgusting but guess what everyone does? The same thing. Not tryna control anyone but please just... Ugh. That word terrifies me.

The Word "Selfie" - It's called a picture. I hate it even more when they call it that and there's multiple people in the picture.

Myself - I messed up a really important friendship and I can't forgive myself for it no matter how hard I try or how calm and happy I seem. Don't worry I still love everybody else ^.^

Horror - Horror movies I can stand but horror games are just the worst for me. I went in a Garry's Mod map which was a 7/11 and there was an elevator. I went down it and it brought me to this dark room where a bunch of red eyes surrounded me. I disconnected instantly. I found out they didn't do anything and there was just a bite more creepy stuff in the hallways but there wasn't any jump scares. But it got me paranoid the rest of the night.

As said before, lot more things I hate but I ain't gonna state them all.

A'ight! That's all I want to tell about me. If you want to know more - I don't even know! You can try asking. xD

Thank you for reading. Unless you just scrolled down here to see the end. u skrub
