News Archives / Re: October Update Part 1
« on: October 03, 2018, 10:33:00 pm »
I'm am intrigued as to how these new staff were chosen, and I'm curious what will happen to all of the old mods who walked away. However, this whole "no mod october" and all the chaos that followed seems like a coverup for wanting new staff members. I hope I'm wrong about that, but it looks to be that way with how quickly everything changed.

Welcome.

Warriors of Dawn is an Eskimo/Inuit themed warrior cat roleplay group set in the Canadian tundra. We are a literate, realistic character/semi-realistic roleplay group with a unique map in the making.

This group is located in the northern region of Canada where cats have congregated into tribes. They were guided there by the Aurora Spirits and given the task of revitalizing the ancient lifestyle that once existed there. Utilizing their surroundings, the felines are learning how to make fire, weapons, paints, nets, and traps. Life on the tundra is harsh and unforgiving, however, and the cats will have to fight for survival no matter what the cost.

Status
WoD is currently on an rp hiatus.
However
We are searching for people to join our staff team as well as fill our high rank auditions so that when the map is complete, we are able to reopen with a bang. All auditions can be found -> http://w-o-d.boards.net/board/34/auditions

The WIP map is 30,000, just to give you all an idea of how much space WoD will have to rp with once it's complete. There are 3 different maps for WoD; an underground tunnel map where the cats reside, and two above ground maps for winter & spring/summer.

Discord is our primary form of communication. We use it for posting screenshots of the map WIP's, roleplaying (if the members who want to are unable to get on FH), discussing changes to the website/group setup/membership, and much more. The link to our server can be found under the Downloads thread, but please do not join without first being accepted to the group.

Interested?
We are always looking for new ideas for lore, plotlines, map specific locations, character stories, and anything else a member can offer. While we don't have a set opening date, there is plenty of work being done until we are ready for that day. If you are interested in joining, these are the best ways to get in touch with me -

Game Help / Re: My items are not working

That is the item pack I'm using, and I move both the media folder and the cfg file directly into the main Feral Heart folder, replace them both, and other people's stuff is still showing up incorrectly. I don't know why :(

Game Help / My items are not working
« on: June 17, 2016, 04:56:51 am »
For whatever reason, after the update, items are showing up incorrectly in my game. I've talked to other players, and they see everything just fine, but mine are all over the place. I've redownloaded the item packs and moved the two files directly into the Feral Heart folder like I have done dozens of times in the past, but nothing seems to be working. I've even tried moving the specific item files out of their folders so that all the item files are together in one folder, but that doesn't do me any good either. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? Because right now I feel like the only one who's been having this kind of issue :/

If I have to, I'll just stop using items all together, but I'd rather not because they make the game ten times more interesting to play.

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Sounds
« on: May 03, 2016, 06:12:03 pm »
Hello everyone!

I'm new to Feral Heart, and am still figuring out maps and the whole rp thing (I've never done it before, so we'll see how this goes xD)

One thing I've noticed that I think could help improve the effectiveness of those who roleplay is adding a growl sound effect to both wolf and lion characters. Wolves already have a howl sound (which I love), but I've noticed a lot of people typing "grrr" or "snarl" into chat. Personally, I think it would be a lot easier (and a lot more interesting) to hear it rather than read it.

If this is something thats already been discussed before, let me know, because like I said, I've only been playing for about a week now and haven't read through many of the forums yet. Running around is quite fun by itself  ;D
