Ever since when BlackStar had accidently killed Mitira and got to see her mother in her dream, she vowed to her mother that she would learn how to control her power and free the wolves from Saskiri's wrath. She then trained longer and harder to help improve her previous training. She also trained herself how to control her power. She knows how to activate it and rest her power, but she doesn't know how to control it from absorbing other lives that she has been practicing with lizards and vultures.
Saskiri too has been training longer and harder. She had even killed 10 wolves during her training, but the scariest thing about her is that she doesn't feel regret, sympathy, or mercey. Even towards her own pack! She knew that BlackStar is still alive because BlackStar is stronger than her and she fights to protect and survive. Saskiri knows that she can use that against her, but what will she use? Her own pack.
Both BlackStar and Saskiri know that the time for them to fight is drawing ever so near to them. They would fight on the next full moon, which is only a week away. BlackStar's only and last hope is the wisdom and training over the years of her life against Saskiri's mercyless, cold, heart.
She has doubt that she will beat Saskiri, but beause of her power, she now knows that she will put an end to Saskiri's torrment to the White Blood Wolves and maybe become the new alpha of the pack and help them restore the balances in there lives.
