3.) Indeed, I am. I have been for about the last four years, and it happened when I realized one day that I actually dislike taking the elevator, but I'm too lazy to use the stairs. It was confusing for a time, but then I learned to accept and embrace the fact.

1.) Because you and Vespian are the newest staffies, therefore you will be more tender and juicy. I feel like the older ones like Red or Raz might be kinda chewy and gristly at this point. x3

(Maybe this one doesn't fit so well, but I've been wanting to use it. xD)
3.) I got my first trumpet from my dad in the 6th grade, when I was 10. <3 At the time I just wanted to play in band, because we needed an elective, and it seemed fun, but once I got into high school, I ended up falling in love with music and music people there. The older players, especially the seniors at the time, were really great players, and I respected that, so I ended up practicing and working very hard, getting private lessons from a local professional trumpeter, and basically I found myself wanting to do this for the rest of my life--I found my niche in music.
As for why trumpet, specifically, it's mostly because it just kinda feels "right" after playing for almost ten years. xD Whenever I play, it's actually a very pleasant sensation overall, both physically (since playing is a very physical act, and in the same way a runner might get a "runner's high" from all of the oxygen they get when they run, I get kind of a "trumpeter's high" because of my increased oxygen intake and output of air), as well as mentally and emotionally, as music is a creative outlet for these very human qualities.
Of course, this can be achieved on other instruments, as well, and I've been learning new ones while I've been in college, but it's mainly the fact that I've been playing so long, and have the highest proficiency on trumpet that makes it feel like home. <3 When I pick up a trumpet, it feels less like a 4-foot hunk of metal pipe coiled up and held against my face, but more like an extension of my own body.
Plus, trumpet is versatile in almost any genre of music. It's everywhere, and so having a versatile instrument that is popular means that you get a slightly higher chance of being hired by someone to grace them with noise from a trumpet (assuming you don't mess it up c8>).
