Game Help / 2 Questions/issues occurring in FH for me.

Okay so I have 2 questions about FH as the title says. Both of them are related to in-game. And here are they:

1. - How do you put these symbols: '{' and '}' when typing? I try to do the Alt+Shift+8/9 trick,but it always shows this: '(' and ')'. However outside FH the trick works perfectly for me. I'd like some help for this mainly for fancying Bios.

2. - This is the one that is the most upsetting for me currently. It's basically this: When I try to enter in Fluorite Plains when there are around 200 members,it always crashes. However I can enter it at the morning on my country time,when there's less members on there. It's mainly about the lag I'm sure. Even if I take off nametags or things like that,it will not work. It just seems IMPOSSIBLE for me to go there at that time. On Bonfire it will sometimes take me only 1 crash for me to enter on there,but not always. It often seems to not lag for me. I have 3 maps downloaded,the August 22 markings pack the Pawesome Item Pack V5,Tearless's Star Mod and a Pawpad Mod. It started when I downloaded the August 22 markings pack,and before that I had the 3 maps mentioned above,Tearless's Star Mod and the Pawpad Mod,and they never caused crashes to me. I really would appreciate at least some tips for me to reduce this crash frequency.

My computer is a Macbook Pro from 2013. Please,anyone can help me solve these questions/issues? Thanks in advance.

Characters / Wolfy's Characters (WIP)

Hello there! You seem to have looked up this topic to know more about my characters,eh? Welcome then if so!
Here I'll put some of my most special characters' info. (Duh)
Note that some of them still don't have a backstory,personality or things like that. I'm planning on adding that to them when I have more ideas for them. This will be updated with more information in the future.

25-06-2014: Added Froxen to the topic,and made some minor changes to the topic.
26-06-2014: Added Struck's family and edited his backstory. Edited Edur's personality from Froxen's info. Edited Cortex's backstory too.

(Warning: A lot of read from now on.)

Main character - Trixie

Name: Trixie.
Age: 1 year and half.
Gender: Female.
Stage: Teenage.
Species: Gray/Black wolf.
Where did you get this name from?: No,I didn't get it from the MLP character Trixie if you are thinking that. Although I love MLP,I didn't even know that MLP had already a character named like that when I created this character x3. I,surprisingly,got it from the game Nintendogs+cats. There was an owner walking on the street with a dachshund named Trixie. I thought the name was awesome and adorable,so I didn't hesitate in putting the name Trixie for my main character. c:
Items: Headphones,Blue Glowstick,Kitten buddy and Small Dark Wings.
Crush: None.
Family: None.
Other relatives: Mittens (Her kitten,seen on the photo above.)
Scent: Recently grown wet patches of grass with dew on them.

Cortex

(Some of the info taken from Cortex's Bio.)
Name: "I'm Cortex. Nice to meet you!"
Gender: "I'm a Male of course!"
Stage: "I'm a pup right now..." (Childhood)
Species: "I'm half robotic and half wolf. I'm kinda getting used to being what I am."
Age: "I feel like I have 2 months counting from my birth."
Additional information: "Like I said, I'm half wolf and half robotic. That's why I have a light blue nose,grayish blue pupiless eyes and light blue Cyber markings. It's awesome having that,like,I'm different from the common pups out there!" (Only able to see the markings with Tearless's markings pack or with Aug 22 markings pack.) "But,by that,some pups say to me that I make some weird buzzing noises sometimes. I know that's not true. They're really really trying to confuse me." (He actually makes that noises,he just doesn't know that. He quite stays paralyzed while doing that and then he comes back to normal when the noises stop.)
Dislikes: "I don't like thunderstorms,anything that has to do with water (Unless I'm thirsty),heights and bees. Other than that,I'm just like the other pups. Anything I'm not afraid of,bring it on!" (Yes,despite being a half robotic wolf,he still drinks water because he's half wolf too.)
Items: "I have a Halo Blade,a Blue Scouter and a Flash Card. They're so cool to have!" (Only seen with Pawesome Item Pack V5.)
Crush: "Crush? Absolutely nope!"
Backstory: "Well,I got a mother and a father like everyone else... My mother was a normal black wolf,and my father was a robotic one. But it was a long time since I have seen them for the last time... I grew little since then. I remember I was still a little normal black pup and my mother was always next to me,protecting me with all her strength. I've not seen my father,but my mother told me stories about him for me to sleep... He was really a brave wolf by what I remember from my mother,but he didn't get into a relationship with me. I think he was too busy for that. Ah well... Skipping things like that,one sunny day,my mother called me for my first hunting lesson. It was about hunting mice and rabbits. I went to the opposite side where my mother was because I thought there would be more prey there. I got lost. My father was nowhere to be seen,as well as my mother. I called them,no answer back. Since then I've been devastated by that and I let that emotion go to my heart. That's why I'm half robotic. I heard my mother mumbling lowly back when I was a normal pup that I was still a normal pup,but when if I get the depression and sadness go through me I would no longer be normal. She also said my father told her that,and that often she had nightmares about that." (Kinda a prophecy,huh? xD) "I didn't understand what that meant back then,but now I do. And I kinda don't regret about that,I have gone through great things in my life since I turned to be what I am."
Family: (See above on the backstory)
Other relatives: "Nope,no one."
Scent: "Scent? What do you mean by that? Oh,if you're referring to the scent I'm feeling right now... It's a what I call of a coconut milk scent right from the palm trees. Amazing name,right? I am the one that named it." *Wink wink* "Anyways,it's a pretty good scent if you ask me."

Struck

Name: Struck.
Age: 2 Years.
Gender: Male.
Stage: Full-grown.
Species: Sabertooth Tiger.
Backstory: Struck was a Sabertooth Tiger on a arctic Clan,but he never felt like he was accepted into it. The other Sabertooth Tigers were often joking about his name,saying it was a reference to him getting struck by a lightning in the future. Of course he didn't like that,and he made it to his limit and left the Clan. Days and months have passed and he still doesn't regret it. He felt like he did what was right. And to finish,he didn't get struck by a lightning still. He haven't seen any of his ex-Clanmates since he left the Clan,but if he saw one,he surely would be joking him/her as a payback because of still being alive. He enjoys his loner life,he can hunt for himself instead of hunting for another mouth that was not his,and he can go wherever he wants without asking for permission. He often can see his family and pass some months with them,before returning to his loner life. After all,it's still his family,isn't it?
Crush: None.
Family: StarLight and Len,his fathers and Alaistair (Played as 101wolfgirl),Winter and Mint,his brothers.
Other relatives: None.
Scent: The waving back-and-forth sea. He likes fishing so he frequently has this scent.

Weed (GDW)

Yup,you have guessed it,I'm a Ginga fan :3! This is my attempt at making Weed from GDW. The pelt color may be a little too off,but I'm still proud of it

you'll probably see me with him around Bonfire or Ficho Tunnel.

Froxen

Name: Froxen (Frox for short.).
Gender: Male.
Species: Lion.
Age: 2 Years.
Where did you get this name from?: Yup yup yup,I got it from the movie Frozen >u<. (I had such creativity in this one omg.) It's a small small tribute to it,as I absolutely love that movie. And even by that,I still love his name. ^D^
Family: Edur,his half-brother. A skinny,brownish grey colored teenage lion with light green eyes and scars along his body. His personality tends to have a pretty bad and sarcastic personality.
Other relatives: None.
Backstory: Once he was a small cub wandering off in a small group of rouges. He had a home though,it was a small cave but big enough for him and for all the other cubs. He knew how to hunt,but only small-sized prey,like mice or rabbits. He still tried to make friendships with the other cubs out there,but they didn't want to. He tried for months,until the point that he realized that he couldn't live in there due to the lack of friends. In a starry night,he decided to run out from there to a very far place. He understood that using the stars as a way to guide him was really helpful,and so he did. He attempted to dig holes to sleep on there during his journey,just like a rabbit,until he finally found the place. He was already a teen,but didn't realize that. He was really happy that he finally found the right path for him to follow. The place was called Bonfire Island,as the other animals told him. He found a cave to sleep,prey and water. And by that he found out that he was in teenage years by looking to his reflection on the water. He was scared of the drastic change,but after that very proud that he had a mane growing on him,so the next 4 days he was always walking around pridefully and wagging his mane. It's true,he counted them owo. And finally,we made it until now: He mostly lays under the fern leaves,big enough to cover him,from the hot sunny days.
Likes: He likes looking to the stars at the night as a thank you for guiding him outside his rouge group when he was a cub. He also likes swimming; he usually does that at hot afternoons,chasing birds and challenging games. He almost never refuses to do one,unless it's like kissing a lioness that he doesn't even know.
Scent: Lavander flowers. He always goes to a bunch of them and rolls on them so he can have a nice smell and not the smell of the fish after he goes swimming. But shhh,don't tell anyone that!

Game Help / Pawsome Items Pack V5 Problem.

Hi there! So... Here's my problem. I downloaded the Pawsome Items Pack V5,and I went to test all the items to see if they were working properly. I noticed that 3 of them don't have some of their textures,causing them to have the /famous/ yellow and black stripes.

The rest of the items work perfectly. I really don't know what to do... Is this happening to y'all too? I'm 100% sure I've put all the textures from the Items Pack folder on the textures folder of the FH folder,otherwise the other items wouldn't work too. Help...?

It's been a long time I've been on FH,but I'll write this anyway.

So,hi there! I'm Wolfypuppy (On the forum and in-game). I'm a girl and I absolutely love this game. xD
I also play other games,such as Transformice Chicken Smoothie and Nitrome. I also like the game Celousco but it's a game still in development. I'm kinda active on all these games (Except Celousco of course),including on FH.
I like MLP (Please don't "attack" me for this :c),kinda liking Warrior Cats although I don't read the books,Code Lyoko,robotic things (One of my characters on this game,Cortex,is actually half robotic),listening to music,reading,writing,Winter (Although I like Summer too),animals,Disney films,such as The Lion King,Frozen,etc. (Actually my favorite type of film is Animation),all shades of purple and blue (I also like combining them together :3 It's so gorgeous),and I also like to draw. o3o But I admit,I don't draw so perfectly,but I like my style of drawing and I hope to improve it as time passes by. :3

I'm a Mac user on games. c: The places that I use to go on more on FH are Bonfire Island and Fluorite Plains. I'm kinda semi-literate/literate on there,and I think I RP pretty good on all aspects (Not going to say that I RP fantastically,I do have some little problems when RPing).
I'm not very good at making things for this game,it's hard for me cx I prefer downloading from the awesome people that put maps,markings and presets up for public download. ^D^
I apologize if I make English mistakes,English is not my first language. D:

Miscellaneous Tutorials / A tutorial to open FH on a different way for Mac users.

(Because,I can't think on a better name title than that. Yeah.)
So,I have a method for users that are having that problem when you try to open FeralHeart and it shuts itself without opening the game. I used to have this,but I managed to get the game to work in a very different way,without deleting anything. c:

Here are the steps to do it:

Open the FeralHeart folder,and then click on the FeralHeart icon holding the left ctrl key.
Then,there will appear a list next to the icon. Click on what says "Show Package Contents". You have to hold the mouse while going to click on that button.
Then a window shows up with 2 pastes and 1 program called Wineskin. Click twice on that program.
It will appear a window with Wineskin,listing these buttons above the Quit button: Install Software,Set Screen Options and Advanced. Click on the button that says Advanced.
Again it opens a window with some commands. Do not make any changes to what can be changed in there in order to make it work. Click on the button that says Test Run. You'll see that the FeralHeart icon appeared in the tool bar,which means the game is running. After the game goes to the initial FeralHeart window (When you can change the rendering system,set the game to fullscreen and such) Click and hold on the Wineskin icon on the tool bar until some commands appear above it. Then,still holding the mouse,click on Quit. Wineskin will shut down and the game will work perfectly,without any problems. You will still be visible to all players including friends and do all things on the game.

If you want to open the game again after you shut it down,repeat the steps above.
(I don't know if this works for ALL Macs,I only tested it on my MacBook Pro.)
I guarantee you that this method is 100% safe,I myself in order to go to the game have to do this,and it never caused problems to me.

Game Help / I need help before putting the August 22 Markings in-game. (SOLVED)

I just learned how to put downloaded markings in-game,but I have 2 questions before putting the August 22 Markings in-game.

1 - Is there any problem with the August 22 Markings that people seem to have recently?
2 - If I replace a marking texture from the August 22 Markings with the one that I already have on my FH textures folder,will that change majorly the marking that I replaced? (For example,replacing the Underfur marking from the Default FH Markings with the Underfur marking from the August 22 Markings.)

I would really appreciate an answer for this from a user that already has (Or had) the August 22 Markings in-game. Thank you in advance! ^^

Hello there,one of my friends has a question that I sadly can't help because I'm not the right person to ask about the map maker and such things,and she can't log on here,so I'm asking for her.
Her question is:
She made a map for her pack,but she doesn't know how to put a link for the download so other members of her pack can download the map.

So,can anyone help her? Thank you. =)
