A question from my friend. (Lock, solved.)
« on: December 08, 2013, 03:54:10 pm »
Hello there, one of my friends has a question that I sadly can't help because I'm not the right person to ask about the map maker and such things, and she can't log on here,so I'm asking for her.
Her question is:
She made a map for her pack, but she doesn't know how to put a link for the download so other members of her pack can download the map.

So,can anyone help her? Thank you. =)

Edit: Solved,lock this thread please.

Well, first your friend needs a mediafire account :3 Does she have that?

If she doesn't go to Mediafire.com and sign up with email, first name, last name, ect. If your friend doesn't like sharing her name on the Internet just enter a random name like "Johnny Appleseed" or something.

Okay, once your friend has everything (like, the map, objects, ect.) in a seperate folder (she exported right?), rightclick on the folder and select 'Send to -> Compressed (zip) folder'. This will 'zip' up the folder for you. Then once you go to mediafire, you can easily grab the .zip and upload it.

If you have question, ask.

She has done all of that until the mediafire part. Now she doesn't know how to get the .zip . How she can get it?

Once you have put all the map parts in one folder, select all the files, right click and hit 'Send to..' And click on compressed .zip

If you don't understand the "zip" part of what Star said above, there are many great tutorials on Youtube just in case your friend needs a visual instruction to understand uploading things to Mediafire. Good luck.
Farewell everyone<3

Ok, wait. After you've compressed everything into a .zip open mediafire back up (don't full screen it). Drag the compressed .zip and drop it directly into mediafire. Then it might take a couple minutes to load the .zip. After that click the zip and hit download. When the download screen pops up your friend can copy the link and send it to her pack. (but science she can't log in she might need to meet up with the pack in game and type the download link in the chat box.
