Custom items not showing up/are invisible

This is my first time posting in the forums here and I'm unsure if this is the correct area, but I've been trying to get the unicorn horn from here, but it and every other item will appear in the items menu but when I add it it won't appear on the character, both feline and canine. I'd really appreciate some help with this!

Ah, its going to sound dumb by now but I just figured out what I did wrong a few minutes ago, I didn't install the items.cfg file correctly. Sorry ^^'
