How do you make meshes??
« on: July 19, 2011, 07:01:36 pm »
Alright, I have been making a map for a warriors rp. I really want to have a twolegplace in it. But in order to do that I need meshes. Other than that All i can do is flatten and move the plateau (spelling fail) and turn them around. It looks crappy and you cant go inside. I really want to know how to make meshes. What programs to you need to do it? Also, It would be very helpful if you know someone that can help me make it. The more info the better! Thanks in advance.
Greetings from your friendly neighborhood Wolfeh!!!!

In object maker, you can load basic meshes and build a twolegplace. Making meshes isn't easy.
In Object Maker, you can go to the "Mesh" tab and load:

BasicCone.mesh
BasicCylinder.mesh
BasicSphere.mesh
BasicCube.mesh
BasicRing.mesh

Just by using those and shrinking them and all that such, you can make a twolegplace.

However, if you want to see for yourself, a mesh making program, try:

AC3D
OGRE Blender

Hope this helps a bit. ;)

Ogre and Blender are two different programs. Ogre is a program/game engine and Blender a meshing program (that also contains it's own game engine).

Blender.org has a nice list of tutorials.

But I recommend using the preset shapes available. Blender is notoriously difficult for new users.
