The Freeze


It's been 135 years since the snow started, and never stopped. The world is no longer green and warm like it was before, it's cold and unforgiving. Humans have learned to survive and adapt to this challenging new world, we learned to hunt the beasts that managed to survive the frozen tundra. Nature and animals aren't the only things that can cut your life short, so be wary and watch out for your friends and yourself.


Location

You are located in the frozen ruins of New York, New York. There are many places to take shelter but due to it's popularity, there are also many hostile people here.

Animals

Polar bears

Polar bears tend to stay away from humans but if you choose to try to take one down you are in for a fight.

Wolves and Dogs

The dogs of the city are mainly feral and have been breeding with the wolves that live here, making it nearly impossible to find a four legged companion. The wolves prove to be a challenging opponent, they travel in packs and an easily take you down if you aren't careful.

Caribou and Moose

The city's inhabitants main source of food, they are very plentiful here. There are also many other smaller animals that reside here.

Are they really gone?
According to an old legend, when the end of the world comes, a place known as Paradise will appear. However, only wolves will know how to find it. Although wolves are believed to have been hunted to extinction nearly Six hundred years ago, they still exist, surviving by taking human forms. Freeze City is a northern human city in a world where the majority of people live in poverty and hardship.
Now a new generation of wolves have been born to re-open Paradise with the New Flower Maiden.

Rules
~No god-modding or power playing
~Only one wolf per person.
~You can also Role-play as nobles and regular humans, even the flower maiden.(If no one applies to be the flower maiden she will be a NPC)
~Romance and drama are allowed, but don't get into detail about certain things.
~Keep the genders balanced

Setting
Freeze city, a poor town. People who live here are in poverty and can barely keep themselves alive. The smell of Lunar flowers are drawing wolves from all over, to this city.

The end has come, but some of us are fighting for survival.

We thought it was just the flu, but it turned out is was something much worse. This..virus..kills anyone that contracts it in a matter of hours, sometimes days. The person who has it goes through excruciating pain, fever, chills, coughing. This virus is highly contagious and there is no cure. Animals carry this virus but they don't get infected by it, it's just better to stay away from them, unless you're one of the lucky ones who are immune. Those who are not immune have chose to stay in hiding in reinforced buildings, never letting anyone near them.


It's been 2 months since the first person contracted the virus was admitted into the hospital in New York, since then there are only a handful of people left. Some have chosen to keep what's left of their humanity, while others have chosen the more...barbaric ways. Scientists have begun taking survivors off the streets to use a lab rats in testing their vaccines, so far they have been unsuccessful. There are also many 'clans' around the US that you have to worry about. They will kill anyone without thought, if you have what they want and you won't give it to them, you're dead.

Rules
-No godmodding or powerplaying.
-Yes, you can die. Feel free to make another character if your original one dies.
-No one-liners. Try to make at least 4 or more sentences.
-Guns are pretty hard to find, so your character will most likely not have a firearm at first.
-There is no power, unless you come by someone with a generator. Remember; not everyone is willing to share.
-Cussing is allowed but not to be overused.
-Drama and romance is allowed, just no sexual stuff.
-If you are captured by the lab it isn't easy to escape. They do have armed guards.
-Try to put your character close to the others, that way there is more interaction.
-All animals are carriers, if you have a pet don't expect everyone to treat them kindly.

                                                                       The voices

                                                                                                                                             Do you hear them?

You are just a regular human being trying to survive everyday life, you have a job or go to school, maybe have a significant other. You are just a person living in the large world among people like you even though you are unaware of their existence and they are unaware of yours. How do you go on with everyday life with the voice in your head constantly talking to you? The voice is sometimes kind while it can also be menacing, each voice has it's own personality and it's own story to tell..but will you listen?

The Voice
Each voice is different, and they aren't exactly 'just a voice' in your head, they were once people. The voice in your head is actually that of a spirit that has chosen you to be it's vessel so you can discover the truth of what happened to him or her. Most endings are tragic while others are rather peaceful. Some of these spirits have chosen you to be like a guardian, some of them have chosen to haunt your thoughts. It is your choice on how you deal with it, there are others out there like you, some living 'normally' while others are in mental institutions. How do you cope with the voice?

Setting
You live in the small town of Marbleshore, everyone here knows everyone and everything that goes on. Marbleshore is pretty isolated from any other towns or cities, there is no big fancy hospital here or stores, just a small clinic and small shops. Nothing bad really happens here, you get the occasional lost traveler who never stays for too long and sometimes a bar fight here and there. Marbleshore isn't your normal small town either, this is where the voices come from, whoever comes here almost always leaves with a voice in their head.

A group of six friends decided to go have a fun weekend out on the water on their friend's grandfather's yacht. They planned on having a party filled weekend but everything changed when the boat stopped working. The six friends must now fight for survival and hope that rescue will come and save them before it's too late.


Rules
?All Characters are 21 and over
?Keep cursing to a minimum
?No sexual scenes
?Maximum of two characters, one must be female and one male.
?If your character dies feel free to make another one.
?There will only be 3 females and 3 males

Current Plot
The young adults are currently setting out to sea, everything is ready for the perfect weekend. They have everything planned out, a fun Friday night full of drinking and partying under the stars.

You are a person who has been living on the streets trying to survive and hoping someone gives you a few dollars just so you can eat. You might have lived this life for years, you might have only been living on the streets for a few days but it's always hard. You face hazards and threats every day from people and the weather. You can't survive on your own you must work together with your fellow homeless to survive everyday. Do you stand a chance?

The City

This role-play takes place in Los Angeles, CA. It is one of the meanest places for homeless people due to aggressive policing of homeless folks on Skid Row and also for restrictions on sitting or lying down on sidewalks.

Skid Row

This is where we live, Skid Row. We are all family here, we watch out for each other and help one another when they need it.

Rules
?Keep the genders equal
?There will be violence, but please don't go into extreme gory detail.
?Cursing is allowed but do not go overboard.
?No sex scenes.
?No OC fighting.
?No killing someone's character without permission.
?No power playing, Mary/Gary sues or any of that mess.
