In Memory Of Darky...

Some of you may be wondering why I have put this topic here, but I guess this is a reasonable place to put it so here goes...

I am very sad to report that one of my dear friends, and probably one of yours, has been a victim of a tragic accident. The very well-known and loved DarkPetal, sadly died in a fatal car accident exactly one week ago. She was the only passanger in the car with her mother, and they were both on the way to a swimming gala. It was around 7:00pm as the accident occurred, caused by a collision involving only two cars. One of the cars was being driven by someone that had been over the legal alchohol limit. DarkPetal was the only fatality, but the drink-driver is due to go to court. She will be dearly missed, and I only hope that she is up in heaven and happy. The funeral took place yesterday, there were a lot of tears and sadness as she was so young to leave all of us. Darky was funny, sweet and ready to help anyone in need, a great example to all of us. This may not happen often in the FeralHeart community, but all I know is that she will stay in many people's hearts, including mine, forever. 

I know exactly what she would say if she was with us right now:
"Don't cry because it is over;
Be happy because it happened."

I'm abandoning my normally dark red text to type this.
Why?
Because it's so sad, and it makes me feel "blue."
I'm horribly sorry to hear DarkPetal died, and my best wishes go to her family, friends, etc. and I wish this hadn't happened.
There's actually a book about a child who's family is ruined by drink.
The main character's older sister dies from a party with many drunks.
The boy's (main character) grandmother dies from being hit by a person DUI.
His friend's dad beats his friend up because he's drunk all the time.
The poor kid's father's closest friend is shot in the head and killed over the last bottle of beer.
However, the moral of the book is:
Drinking, DUI, and basically all over-the-limit alcohol activity is dangerous and hurt's a person, and destroys them inside out.
In Darky's case, drink ruined her not directly, but...
Well...
Y'know.
We'll all mourn her passing, for sure...
I'm horribly sorry, again, for the pass of her life, and mourn along with you, her family, and friends.
Drink will be the death of mankind.

This is tragic news, and I'm very sad and sorry to hear this. DarkPetal and I roleplayed together a lot, and I must say she was a really wonderful roleplayer. My eyes tear up at the news of this - I will miss her due to the fact that she was a lovely girl with a good attitude. I will miss her and I hope she is alive and well in Heaven. But we should know that this was for a purpose; something good will happen out of this, and may her family be blessed and comforted in this situation. Love you, Darky <3

Thank you all for your kind words. It was a big shock for all of us, to think that the sweetest, brightest girl that I knew could just slip away so easily. I really appreciate your love, and I'm sure Darky does too <3 And yes, everything happens for a reason, so all of Darky's family and friends, including me, are trying to look on the bright side of things, we all know that she is in a safe, and happy place. And that beautiful song, CoffeeAddict, brought tears to my eyes.

Oh my gosh, this is just so upsetting. I didn't know her that well, but I have RPed with her and I know she is a very good person. This is why you should never drink. It proves what it does to others besides yourself. I'm so sad this happened, and I just put all my blessings on her family. I hope their hearts will heal. We'll miss you, DarkPetal.

This news has certainly brought me into utter shock. It's hard to believe something so tragic could happen to someone as sweet and cheerful as Darky. When she was still with us, I enjoyed seeing her around the forums. Now I regret that I hadn't gotten to know her better. Like you all, she will most certainly be in my thoughts/memories and I wish her the best of happiness and luck up there in a world beyond this. As well as her family, I can only hope that they'll make it through such a sorrowful event. Who knows, we might again see her one day beyond this realm years from now.

May dear DarkPetal rest in much peace. When you're caught up in so much together, you forget that anything could happen anytime to anyone. My sincere wishes go to her family and friends as they live on without her. To the community, please appreciate everyday to get to be around one another, smile, and continue to be safe.

Oh- Oh my word.
I really don't even know what to say. This is truly a shock, and just such- tragic news. Wow. Darky was just such an amazing roleplayer and a kind, loving person around the forums. This just devastates me.
If I may, I'll be praying for peace for her friends and family in this time of hardship for them. I'm really at a loss of words right now, but I'd like to leave you with this:

Matthew 5:4:
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted

And one last thing:

              God has a reason for everything, and pulls everything together for good- even when you cannot see it right now.

Yeah, it may sound a little cliche, but I truly believe DarkPetal is up there in a far better place than this world could ever offer. Up where there's no pain or death or sadness, only the pure light of God Almighty, where she can spend eternity in overwhelming joy. So yeah of course it is a sad time for us all, but when you think about it through that lens, really we should rejoice that she is now free of this dying, corrupt world, you know? Death isn't "goodbye," It's "see you later." c':

I personally don't know Dark like you or most do, but I do feel like part of my family was just lost today since she was a big part of the Feral Heart forums. I shall pray for her family, and friends to be strong at this time of crisis in there lives at the moment. How sadden I feel to hear this news is just heart breaking. Poor thing was to young to leave us and I shall pray she rest in peace. As customary in my culture, we sing and laugh cause they wouldn't want us to be sad.
