Game Discussion / "Starving" Predators?

About a week ago I was roleplaying my horse character on a custom map, and there was a pack of wolves roleplaying also. The pack only had three members online at the moment, and as I read their roleplay posts, I noticed that they were starving. They ask if they can kill my character (and become alive again, of course), and I accepted.

So we begin the chase, and luckily for me they weren't powerplayers or anything like that. They were semi-realistic wolves, literate, and I could tell they were trying really hard to make the whole hunt fair.

But the only thing I noticed, is that they seemed to easily run up to my character and bite her as she was running at top speed. I didn't say anything (I was going along with it), but I was wondering, "Aren't these wolves starving? How can they be so strong if they are so low on fuel?"

So it comes to the point where my horse is standing her ground. They are able to jump up all the way to her neck with no difficulty, they never seemed to get tired in rp or anything. It's as if they weren't even starving at all. (And yes, they did eventually kill my character. xD)

I never actually ended up saying anything to the wolves about this, only because it was a fun and great roleplay. But... shouldn't people be a little more realistic with the state of health their characters are in in any kind of roleplay? Post your opinions and experiences of this below~

In-Game Roleplay & Group Advertisement / The Clans Of Viscus Slyvae

The three Clans of Viscus Slyvae are all part of one large pack that lives in Viscus Slyvae. (Map and name belong to rightful owner, I just forgot who that is.) In the north, there are large, tall mountains, and that's where Obsidian, the Mountain Clan Dominant, leads her clan. In the south, you'll find the sea, and that's where Breeze, the Sea Clan Dominant, leads her clan. In between these two clan is where Romeo, the Forest Clan Dominant, leads his clan. Join our pack, choose a clan, and follow your fate.~

We are currently not a group in-game, fur now we are just a site. We may go on FH too someday, but that depends on how many members of the pack want to. (Mods if this isn't allowed, feel free to delete this. I did read the rules for this board, but I'm still unsure about posting this.) We are currently accepting members, allies/rivals, and affiliates. More info can be found on our website, and the link is found at the top of this post. We hope to see you join. c:

Game Discussion / The Most Unrealistic Characters

I'm not talking about some neon mate center, I'm talking about some person who claims to be a specific animal yet they are totally unrealistic. So... yeah.

The most unrealistic characters I probably have ever seen is a female lion, but with a full mane. I also remember seeing a tiger... but with spots. One time I saw someone claiming to be albino but they had a black pelt. I also saw a stallion, but it didn't have the spotted hyena marking on its tail... I could go all day with this. x3

So I finally learned how to make presets... and I made my first two, and I think they are actually pretty good! (As my first presets.) So I want to let yall see them, and please post feedback and comments!

Finished Maps / Obsidia [Public]

Hey there, floofs! I finally got the inspiration again to make a map! I am finally releasing my second FH map. It was originally meant for my fursona, Kiki and for the public (you!), but one of the groups that I am in is most likely going to use it. ^^ And before I show you the epicness of my map, let's get on with some basic rules.

-Do not claim the map as your own; it belongs to the user in-game called Kikiorylandia.
-Please follow all of the FH game rules.
-Please listen to me; if I ask you to stop doing something, please stop.
-Have fun! =D

And let me know if there's something wrong with the download, or if there's anything wrong with the map in general. I'll do my best to fix it.

Other Games / Dino Run

Dino Run is basically a game where you're a dinosaur, and you have to escape extinction. You run, jump, duck, and dodge many things that could slow you down till you die -- "Doom" is what most people call it. That's the only way you can die, and you must outrun it in order to survive. You can get super eggs (or dinosaur eggs that are very large and colorful), to help you increase your dino's speed, acceleration, jumps, or strength.

There is of course the multiplayer version, where up to four people can race each other and you can increase your score and your level. (The highest level is 10.) And of course you can chat in the chatbox.

I have been playing this game for five years, and I have loved it. I lost interest in it four years ago, and I recently started to play it again. If you end up playing multiplayer, look for the username Iceland123; that's me. ^^ Here are some screenshots I got off of Google.

The black cloud at the left side of the screen is Doom, once it completely covers up your screen then your dino dies.


A multiplayer race, and as you can see there are hats as well.


Someone jumping in the small volcano, and in the top right corner is a super egg.

Welcome

So, since the summer of 2013, I have been drawing digitally. I have always been heck of a lot better with traditional art, and at first I was having many problems with it. I have been looking around DeviantART, looking at and studying other peoples' art styles. I have learned a lot since when I first started digital art, and I hope to learn more

When I took a break from FH back in February of 2014, I abandoned this thread and had completely forgotten about it until now. I have completely revamped this thread, for a fresh new start

    There was a strong pack living in Hawaii known as the Tropical Skies Pack. It was lead by their great ruler, Rosaleena. The pack was very strong; over seventy members at its peak. It was a great pack, and no one was mistreated. No regrets in life could be found here.

But, all great things come to an end eventually. Rosaleena ran off, her current location unknown. Chaos fell in the lands of TSP. High ranks were overthrown, and it was every wolf for him or herself. Many wolves were badly injured and some have even seen to have completely left the island. You could see a blanket of endless darkness in the skies.

But, one wolf stepped up to bring it back. This wolf was known as Artemis, and she is said to be from the Loner Gang of Winter Mountain, but she had left before the first time TSP fought them. She was known to have hated the ways of the loners, so she had left. She was living on her own, hunting prey... getting stronger.

The Tropical Skies Pack Reborn believes that this wolf had run into Rosaleena after she disappeared, and it was like Rosa knew that this wolf was meant for great things. Rosa nodded to the wolf, giving her permission, then ran off.

Artemis traveled the way that Rosa had come from, and saw the chaos from the remains of the original Tropical Skies Pack. So, she got the wolves under control, and the chaos stopped. The wolves fell under her rule... and treated her like their leader. Artemis divided the pack into two clans, naming them Ocean Clan and Shadow Clan. She put herself on top, having complete control over both clans. She renamed most ranks, and created an entirely new social structure. The pack has been living in peace ever since.

    The Ocean Clan is fun, friendly, funny, and smart. The mainly live on the beaches, so their main diet is fish and other seafood. The wolves in this clan are usually lighter-pelted, and usually have dark eyes such as brown, green, and blue. They are usually smaller sized wolves, but don't let that fool you. They are great fighters and defenders, and are efficient on time. Meeks usually have a better life here because they are not disrespected, and everyone is treated the same.

    The Shadow Clan is strict, mysterious, intelligent, and roams in the darkness of the shadows. They live in the more rain forest like parts of the territory, so they can blend in. They are often darker-pelted wolves with bright eyes such as blood red, cyan, or yellow. The average size of these wolves are larger than most wolves in Ocean, and they usually have thinner coats and are excellent at never making a sound. The Meeks usually take more disrespect from the Subordinates and always have to bow down to the Elites.

Game Help / And... Another Help Thread

Ok so after I reinstalled FH, I unfortunately forgot to save the August 22 markings. I re-downloaded them, but I don't think those are the official markings at all. Not all the markings show up. (what I mean is, I only see about a third of the markings on the list... if this doesn't make sense, I'll show a screenie.) And I've tried another August 22 markings download link, it seems like it has everything, but there's no markings.cfg file. So could someone give me the official thread/download link?

And another question. I also forgot to save my map, so I had to re-download it too. When I went into the portal, the game crashed on me. And it keeps doing this. Two of my friends who have downloaded the map have also experienced the same issue. If someone would tell me the answer to one or both of these questions, that would be great. c:
