Backstory:
Katniss was born at the turning of the 3rd era of her family's empire, that was the beginning of the dark era. There had been family rivalry that involved her actual mother (Elanor) and her newborn siblings being slaughtered by her uncle: Torok. So he took Katniss in as his very own daughter, taught her brutally to be a killer. Of course she manage to keep inner peace while her 'Father' Lashed her up with scars for not 'Trying hard enough'.
A lesson was learned in her life that even Torok told her. "Katniss, there is no room for failure."
