Game Discussion / Re: Feral Heart Fandom Files (community effort!)
« on: May 25, 2018, 07:51:09 am »
Ooh this is a really good topic!

Heh, most of the ones I've seen have been mentioned already. xD Hm.. oh! Fox and the Hound, Pirates of the Caribbean, Super Smash Bros. (though the characters are from their own games, but thought I add that in anyways), Gravity Falls, Okami, Inuyasha, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Regular Show, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Sly Cooper. That's most of what I can think of that I experienced about fandoms in FeralHeart.

Other Games / Re: Who here played/plays Nintendogs? [3DS and/or DS]
« on: February 12, 2018, 02:24:14 am »
Ah wow, I've poured hours upon hours into that game. I was pretty obsessed with it when it first came out. The first dog I had in Dachshund and Friends was a pug named Kerry and I spent hours getting her to catch the frisbee and bring it back to me, then I entered her in competitions and got up to the high ranks in the game. (Forgot the names of all the ranks you build up to xD) I even bought all the other versions of Nintendogs so I could have more dogs to play with! XD

Overall, Nintendogs was one of the games I actually spent time playing with in my childhood. Of course, I could not pass up buying the new version of Nintendogs on the 3DS. Though, I didn't spend as much time with it as I did with the older Nintendogs game. I guess since I had gotten older since then, I just kind of grew out of the hype for the Nintendogs games. BUT I actually still play Nintendogs every now and then as I was lucky enough to still have the games and surprisingly haven't gotten the cartridges lost under a couch cushion or something. XD

« on: June 09, 2016, 07:50:35 pm »
Wow, just wow, you guys!

You really have done such an amazing job over these 2 years of working on this project and I am absolutely impressed that you went out of your way to stay dedicated in creating this awesome update that this game really deserved. Yes, it isn't an actual update if you don't have the source code, but this is enough to draw me in.

I can definitely tell that everyone involved in this update has really worked their tails off to make it possible for this update to exist. And I am grateful for everyone's involvement with making FH even more better than it was.

Thank you. :)

Game Help / Re: Strange Fur Texture Replacement Issue
« on: June 03, 2016, 05:21:17 pm »
Hmm, I b'lieve I 'ave come across this issue once b'fore. I'd suggest d'leting the old textures from the folder and r'place them with the default textures like ye wanted. It could just be a problem with the computer recognizing the change of these files and d'cided to not r'place them like ye asked.

I was actually thinking about changing everything back to default in the textures folder, though I wasn't sure if that would help, but that actually sounds like the best option to do, to just start the textures fresh completely. I shall try that method and see if it works. ^^ Thank you for the advice, Enoki!

Ah, I have indeed encountered this little problem when I wanted to change out of Tearless except I had almost opposite results.
I had to delete an extra mask or two from the Tearless texture in order for everything else to work properly.
A quick trick you can do is switch EVERYTHING back to default, getting rid of any extra masks, textures and then trying again.
Make sure when it asks for you to replace, you click yes as a little reminder. Hopefully something works out c:

Ah, kind of what Enoki mentioned as well. I may try to make everything default again and see if that'll fix everything. That may be the issue I could have easily fixed all along. xD Just wasn't 100% sure if it would work, but I can try! Thank you for the help as well, Hakumi.^^

I'll try these methods and if it actually fixes the problem, I will come back and announce that it is fixed.

Game Help / Strange Fur Texture Replacement Issue (FIXED)
« on: June 03, 2016, 04:47:11 pm »
EDIT: I finally fixed the issue with the texture problem! Hopefully I won't have that same problem again. xD I just decided to reinstall Feralheart and it seemed to have solved the issue. Luckily I saved most of my presets, maps, and GUI, so I can just reinsert them in. cx

Not really sure how I was supposed to title my predicament with this issue I am having, but maybe someone will catch on with what I am about to discuss my rather annoying issue I am having with replacing my fur textures?

Anyways, I know how to replace fur textures in the textures folder.. it's just that the matter of going in the game and the fur shade is the exact same from the previous fur shade I was just using (Tearless's Fur Texture Mod For Canines) even though I had just changed the fur texture to something else. Now, I put the files in the right spots, because I have been pretty familiar with modding texture files for a while. It's just rather confusing why ONLY the masks have changed but the fur texture stays where it is even though it is not present in the texture folder?

If you are still confused at what I am getting at, here is a picture that shows my problem:

Now, as you can see, I was trying to go back to the default fur textures and only the masks have made a difference. For some odd reason Tearless's fur shade has remained in place. Why it still remains that way is beyond me. That is what I am trying to figure out: Why is the fur texture the ONLY thing that remains in the game when I SPECIFICALLY changed the fur shade back to the default fur shade instead? I am so confused, I have been having this issue ever since I decided to change out fur textures, but had no such luck because they always seem to stay on the Tearless fur canine mod. BUT get this... I have no problem changing the feline fur texture masks and shades, but the canine is my biggest issue when it comes to changing the fur texture. I mean, I even have a picture of the default fur shades placed in the textures folder and they are .JPG, which is what it is supposed to be according to the 'cmain' file in the materials folder. Here is the second picture I was mentioning about the default fur shade files being in the textures folder:

See? The default fur shades are in the right place, but as you see in the first picture I showed you, it only changed the masks. I honestly am pretty stumped about this problem. I had to deal with just using the Tearless canine fur textures for a long time, and I wasn't sure if I was going report this issue until today.

Has anyone had this issue and maybe have the solution to how to change the fur shades? I mean, I could be missing something that was so easy to fix that I was too frustrated to notice it. But right now I cannot wrap my head around why only the masks have changed at all, but the when trying to replace the fur shade, it just remains the same as before I even tried to replace them.

Game Discussion / Re: Color Description in Name. Is This Necessary?
« on: March 29, 2016, 08:31:36 pm »
I don't see a problem with people putting their species, color, and gender in their name tag. If that's what they wanted, then that's alright to me. Of course this is my opinion. We all have something different to say.

I'll admit I put the species name in my name tag for certain characters depending if the species name will fit or not, but if it isn't obvious enough, I will put a species name in my name tag and my bio as well. I dunno, I just succumb to doing that for some of my characters.

But yeah, it may not be really necessary for some people, but for those who are used to putting "Katy F WhiteWolf", it's perfectly okay to me. We have different styles we like to work with for our name tags. ^^

Discussion Board / Re: Usernames
« on: November 29, 2015, 09:42:24 pm »
Ah man, hmm.. I had a username waaaaay back in the AOL dial-up days. Yes, very old. xD My very first username was created from my love of frogs and lizards. So I mashed 'frog', 'girl', and 'lizard' together to make "froggirllizard". Yeah, I don't really know why I had 'girl' in the middle instead of at the end. xD I was pretty young at the time, so it didn't matter. XP Over the years we finally upgraded to faster Internet and I used 'froggirllizard' on different social sites for a long time.

As I got older, I discovered the website Youtube and decided to make my own account, so I did. For some reason I couldn't use 'froggirllizard', so I switched the name up to 'lizardfroggirl', and it worked! xD Not much of a difference besides the word swaps. Anyways, I used that username for Youtube, but continued on to using froggirllizard on the other sites I was still on and just stuck with it for a few more years. So it's been quite  along time since then and I decided it was time to make a new name. I thought up of 'pupgirl17' and it just stuck with me for several more years. I think it may have been my longest lasting username I have ever used since the name change and I kind of grew attached to it. X3

Just recently I finally got tired of 'pupgirl17' and changed to 'PandaPawzZz'. I changed it on Deviantart when I was given Premium membership and decided to use that privilege to change it. For a while I just started getting interested in panda related stuff. I even have a panda hat with dangly paw mits to put your hands in. X3 Now I have a panda jacket ordered. XD Yup, living up to that new username. XD The three 'Zs' in the name were because I couldn't put 'PandaPawz', so I just added some extra Zs, making the middle one capitalized.

OKAY! I have finished blabbering now! xD I apologized that this was too long.[/size]
