Spyro the Dragon: What have they done? D:

I'm sure some people here have heard of everyone's favorite purple dragon, Spyro. The original Spyro the Dragon was great, then came the The Legend of Spyro series. And now.. Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. ...I, for one, am very disappointed with this "Skylanders" thing... It looks.. awful so far. And I head that the starting pack with 3 figues is $90.. Psh, forget it. Anyone else heard of Spyro in general? I wanna see how many other people besides me have. xD And if you have, which is better to you?: The original series, or TLoS?
I like them both, but this Skylanders thing.. I'm not going for it. >w>

The series got progressively worse after the initial first series of games. T_T And Spyro kept getting uglier and uglier...and now he looks like a frog.

I have played some spyro in my lifetime, and loved it. At the moment I have the one where you are chained to... whatsherface, and you can fly freely (Simply because y9ou can fly whenever you want XD)

Wow. And I thought I was alone here. xD
DotD, in my opinion, was great. I loved the free flying idea, and this Skylanders thing is all "WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?" He looks like something out of a horror movie, and the character figures don't resemble the games at all, the original series or TLoS. And I also read that the Skylanders game is targeting ages 6-12.. PSH. I'm done. They ruined Spyro. D:
