Art Gallery / Cryst's art farts 2.0 [+ a few free requests! (CLOSED)]

Hey guys! I know I've posted an art thread that's lost somewhere in here, but I've improved A LOT over the months (Years?) after a few shading techniques and a poop-ton of art in school (I was required to draw around 60 A5 fully coloured drawings last year, and this year I have to draw 106 A5s.) With improvement, I've also gained confidence, and have enough of that to fulfill my wish of doing commissions for people that I had in 2013.

With that, almost the entire month of June is a break from school, and I figured since I have some free time that I might as well try out a few things. I plan to do commissions from late November onwards (After my finals), and wished to do some practice for those, just to gauge how long I take to do one commission, and the level of quality that I can produce in that time. As such, I'm gonna take a few free requests for people!

Here's a few examples of my improved art:

I redrew a thing from 2013 for my friend's Birthday. Her character is Cassette, Irozi is mine.~ [Completed!]




I know it's not an animal, but this is the very first focused human digital art I've drawn, and I have to say I like it a lot, as arrogant as that sounds. Hravart is an OC of mine. [Completed!]




Another two OCs of mine, Thjalfi (nicknamed Alfie) and Koresh (The guy). Fairly recent, and not completed. [WIP]




I had an idea of a plot and story of a webcomic about a year or two ago, and despite having never started the comic I decided to draw the characters anyway. This is one of them, a member of nine foxes. Shading is not completed. [WIP]

Sorry if the pictures are oversized, I didn't know how to resize them on the pic uploader. Tinypic seems to have a problem and I can't view the pics, so I had to swap my image uploader.

With that, I hope I can get some requests even though it seems like the Feralheart forum has been rather slow, from what I've noticed. However, due to my unreasonable Chemistry teacher and the 106 A5 art pieces I have mentioned before (I've only done like 50 sketches,) I can't do proper full requests due to time constraints. I'll only do headshot requests, and at first open only 4 slots. I might open more if I happen to be quick!

I'd prefer animal-based requests, though I can definitely try out human ones - but I won't guarantee that it would be good, and it would probably take more time than the animal-based ones. Considering these are free requests, I may or may not finish them, and you might not be satisfied with it. I'm terribly sorry if you aren't, though! <3

All requests will be fully coloured and shaded to the best of my abilities.... Unless specified otherwise, for some reason.

This probably isn't the place to ask, but if anybody reading this has done legitimate commissions before, it would really help if you could share how you do commissions, considering I'm only 17 and I have never done or ordered commissions. How long do you usually take to do commissions, how is the process like, what payment method do you use, and if you can, maybe judge how much I should charge if I do commissions of, let's say, the same quality as the Cassette and Irozi one, and the Hravart art?

[WARNING FOR VIOLENCE AND (a little) GORE]

It's a usual Friday for you, waking up and getting ready for whatever activities you've planned, be it working to death or socializing with friends. It may be tiring, but you're looking forwards to the weekdays - though they only last two days before you're thrown back into the terrible pit of your life.

It never occurred to you that this day would be the moment your life flips around.

It's 5:43 PM and you're doing your own thing, be it sleeping, working, lazing about, or eating. All of a sudden, there's a rather loud Bang that sounds outside, but it's pretty far away from where you are. Whether you're suspicious or not, the rest of the people around you aren't. They shake it off as some loud construction work or another dumb accident. Not being able to do anything about it, you continue.

An hour passes, and the streets are suddenly filled with barks, meows and chirps of the animals, the birds flying off to who-knows-where while the dogs and cats turn restless.

Fifteen minutes later, and the ground shakes.

It takes you a quick moment to realize you're in the middle of an earthquake. However, unlike most earthquakes, this one starts out violent - it's only a few seconds until objects start falling off from tables and ledges, the shrilling sound of glass breaking surrounding you. With the surface under you shaking terribly, you stumble and stagger your way to safety, someplace to wait this disaster out.

It doesn't stop.

The earthquake lasts for nearly an hour, it's force increasing minute by minute until your "safe" shelter threatens to fall on you. No other choice, you get out and run for your life. Of course, nobody can outrun an earthquake, and it's not long before something whacks you on the head or you clumsily trip over the many huge cracks that split the ground. You lose consciousness...

And when you miraculously wake, it's not a pretty sight.




That's not the only horror you face. You look around you and find nobody - it's just like the TV shows you've seen, but now it's reality and you really don't know what to do. Luckily, there's no zombies, but the silence around you is loud, and there's dead bodies around you, buried under rubble. The buildings are completely wrecked, and though many still somehow stand, and a few are totally intact. The ground is completely filled with pieces of concrete and rather large gaps that could trap you should you fall in. Having an uneasy feeling, you get up and prepare to walk when a loud animalistic sound breaks the silence.

You look up and realize you aren't alone.  There's some weird things flying up above, and when you squint it's clearly not a helicopter or plane, and it's too big to be a bird. Plus the fact that it's obviously four-legged. You don't know any four-legged flying animals. One of them lands close to you, slowly lowering it's head to pull out a corpse from underneath rubble.

You don't notice that it's eating your fellow human because you're too busy staring at a griffin. Something straight out from the myths that you've seen, a bird's head and a lion's body. You stare for a while longer before a loud thump erupts somewhere above. You glance up to see a dark red dragon screeching at another gold one, both barely balancing on a broken building. [The dragons are smaller than you've expected, but they're bigger than the griffin and that's enough of a danger to you.] another sound to your left, and you look just in time to see a chimera running into a building.

...This wasn't your usual Friday.


You've lived past the horror of an abnormal earthquake that broke the whole world and is now forced to survive or die. You have to search through the rubble-filled streets to find sustenance and possibly a place to hide and rest. However, that's not going to be easy either.

Though the main Earthquake that caused the destruction has ceased, there's still occasionally a smaller but still deadlier earthquake that shakes through the ground. It can last for maximum 20 minutes, and though it sometimes is short, it's still violent enough to  cause weakened buildings to fall. That's not your only danger, though.

Something has gone horribly wrong and now mythical creatures are taking over the land, obviously furious at being transported to a unfamiliar place. They range from griffins and dragons to wraiths, sirens and sea serpents in the lakes and oceans. While some are passive or skittish, most are hostile and would see you as food, or just that you're trespassing on their territory. Either way, you're more likely to die than make friends with one.

If that wasn't enough, there's a finally danger roaming about the streets. You aren't the only survivor in this destroyed city, many others have also survived - and a few of these survivors have gotten together in a group, mainly to survive. There's two - and neither of them can quite be called friendly, or be trusted.


The Groups

There's only two, but there's a lot of people in those groups. Both have got a bunch of weapons, and both have dangerous people, some of which wouldn't hesitate to cut your throat open. However, these two groups clearly arent allies.

This group is definitely larger than The other group, and is rather hostile. Their leader is Kenneth, a harsh and cruel man who would shoot you if you even sneezed funny in his presence. He's said to be a little bit insane, mostly because he doesn't flinch when he kills somebody. His group is filled with equally ruthless people, but you'll find that not all his group members were willing to join him.

In order to get more survivors to help him get food and build up a sturdy building to withhold both the creatures and earthquakes [Though it seems impossible], Kenneth threatens anybody he finds with the end of his rifle or the edge of his knife - It's either to help ?onquest, or die painfully.

? ?olace ?
They're the more "Peaceful" Group, but still dangerous as ever. Though they treat their fellow members equally, they'll still kill if anybody threatens them. They believe that ?olace is a group where anybody can join if they  want to have people to help them survive, or have accompaniment. Still, the group can still be filled with untrusted people, especially since they allow nearly everybody who 'looks safe enough'. Their leader is ______.

Unlike ?onquest, they do not attack anybody they see on sight, but rather spy on them closely to see what they're up to. If it needs no attention, they leave them alone. However, cross into their territory and they'll aim weapons at you.

[Kenneth will be a NPC controlled by me. He won't have an actual application, and he'll only appear when needed.

?olace, however, currently doesn't have a leader! Feel free to create one for them, but make sure you are literate and can handle it.

Most group members will be NPCs, so go ahead and make your character stumble upon one of them or something.]

So, I'm currently bored and I'd be glad to draw any character of yours! Well, at least try to. Note that I am NOT AN ARTIST, I'm just a person who draws for fun. So don't expect super high awesome work. Also, I do details horribly.

I really have nothing else to do, so. If anybody also has nothing else to do feels like drawing this, feel free to. I would love to see how you would draw dear Kaos over here.

You can even use this to maybe practise or something. Idk.

Name: Kaos Nositel

Species: Canine.

Gender: Male.

Personality: Sassy, selfish, sarcastic, mischievous, snappy, cruel, cold-hearted, manipulative, stubborn, smart, wise, devious. He's a smooth wolf who seems to bother everybody. Unlike most kind, charming males, he's more suited to one who doesn't care about anybody else's feelings, and feels free to speak whatever is on his mind. Usually sarcastic to just nearly everybody, this wolf loves to make things very difficult for others. He's untrustworthy - Any secret you tell him or anything he overhears about you, he'll make sure to get you on edge. Kaos uses sly and cunning ways to get what he wants. He has the talent to use his words to manipulate others, and Whenever he's being harrassed/bullied, he'll fight back - Not with violence, but rather with sharp, cutting words, or - Just like in his childhood - Play a prank on that certain person. His pranks are definitely harmful, by the way. Despite all this, he's actually pretty smart and wise.

Brief Description:

His face is just as you see up there - Half dark grey, half silver. Though take in mind that his body is not half grey and silver. Most of his body is just silver, and he has different 'markings' that are dark grey.

Eyes: Basically one is mint-green, and the other is just a white dot, including a thing red line that connects from the dot to the 'bottom of the eye'. On the side of the 'white dot eye', his mouth is just teeth without any 'lip/gums', like how a skeleton would look like.

Build: Despite being a male, he looks more female. Kaos is slim and strangely tall for a wolf. He's very thin.

Extra:
He has some sort of shackle/cuff on his back left leg, with runes engraved on it.

On the reference, ignore the weird line thingys. That's my stupid attempt to actually put detail into my drawings.

Anyways, have fun with this! Any person can draw it.~

I'm not an artist. At all. These are just drawings I made for funsies, when I'm bored or have nothing better to do. Some are drawn on a sketchbook, some are drawn on my Ipad. I didn't have anything else to do so I'll just post here. :3 Take some sunglasses on before you view, you'll probably need it for some of my drawings.~ Not all are that bad, though. At least I think so. OAO; New ones at the top.

This actually was supposed to be a small try at actually doing facial expressions, but for some reason my brain decided to extend it to full body, then proceed to create a entirely new character.

So, meet Ekaitz, a young male wolf barely at the age of adulthood, who was born with the powers of magic and ice. He's a trapped wolf [Hence the chains and cuffs/Collar, which seals his magic within him] who has grown up to be a Berserker unwillingly, basically somebody who fights blindly, without any knowledge of who is friend and who is foe. He usually is calm and quiet with his bindings on, but if somebody lets him loose, he instantly goes into a berserker rage, simply because his trapped magic is just suddenly free. Something like keeping your emotions in for too long then letting it out.

I might probably put his bio somewhere in the "Characters" Board. His bio may not be fully completed, but this should be his final look, except maybe for his eyes. I accidentally finished it all and forgot to do his eyes, whoops.[Also, currently looking for a friendly person to RP with him. c8] [/center]

G R E E N

Once again trying out the painting style, this time with a random large fox in a random forest. Mixing colours doesn't work, apparently. Whoops. Also, this was a background practice too, since I don't usually draw backgrounds.

Since I've only been drawing his face, so why not. That's basically how he looks like on each side. This drawing isn't quite complete, it was a little rushed, so I might edit and add more. c8 Also, this was a small practice in drawing his legs/paws, because I really suck at drawing limbs. For every single creature I draw. [Didn't put his skeletal teeth on his 'Dark Side' because it really looked weird. Sorry. D8]

Kaos [Main]

Finally decided on what my 'Main' Wolf character would look like. This is Kaos, a strange canine with half the face of a wolf, half of a wolf skeleton. Well, part of it. The essence of Chaos itself. Might upload his bio in the Forums somewhere. Maybe. In-game you'll usually see me using this character.

Great Dane

This was a very quick doodle. Literally took just 15 minutes, because I had nothing else to do. It's a great dane. I think.

Kaos The Dragon

A reference to my Dragon character, Kaos, who belongs in the group "Gaelic Mist".

Tilsa

I don't even- Yeah, I drew a faceless panther and gave it a name. I was really lazy here, and just had nothing else to do, really. Slenderpanther FTW.

Blue Rose

Another doodle. I don't know what I was doing with the lines, jeez. A character that I created called 'Blue Rose'. Just a blue cat with wings that are poorly detailed in this.

Death

Not one of my best ones. Just a random doodle after I read a really sad story. NEED TO GET THEM FEELS OUT. Spoiler because of animal death, totally unrealistic blood, and a death quote that could be sensitive to some people.

The Fox And The Raven

Just started drawing it on the 29 Nov. I think it's pretty good. I KNOW, I KNOW. HEY, THE RAVEN'S LEGS ARE WRONG. HEY, THE FOX'S HEAD IS HALF THE SIZE OF IT'S BODY AND DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE A FOX. Okay, okay, jeez. Oh yeah, it was supposed to be night in the picture, but I don't know what a night sky looks like, because I'm stuck in my room all day everyday.~

Leis

Something for my friend, just for fun, joy, and laughter. Her mutated dog, Leis. Four eyes, sharp teeth, weird tentacle thingies at his cheek. And an electric zap collar, because he's a monster in a facility.~~ Obviously drawn on paper, as you can see.

Kaos

My OC, I guess. She's a dragon-horse-dog thing. Ideka. I drew a small sketch of her on paper, then 'Transferred' it over to my Ipad to draw it there. Because my coloring sucks. Really badly.

A Deer In Headlights

One of my worst ones. Drawn on Ipad, got very distracted halfway and became a slouth when I continued doing this. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRAW A TRAIN MMKAY. //sob (The numbers are there for a reason. Of my own.)

Scadlif

Drew a random snake and gave it a random name. Drawn on paper, when I got heavily distracted by homework, as I always do. I actually drew this six months ago or something.~


That's it, I guess. As you can see, I don't do well in drawing details, and sometimes I overdo the shading. I don't know.~ I guess, uh, feel free to request something for me to draw for fun, if you want. But don't expect it to be an excellent job.~ Most of the drawings I do for others are usually on my Ipad, so it probably won't be on paper. Ipad takes longer, though. It would be nice if you don't request humans. I really can't draw them. I draw canines best. Or anything with a long snout, really. But, yeah. Request if you'd like, I'll be willing to try and practice shtuff.

OH WHAT DO I KNOW. Hope you enjoyed my art, and hope your eyes didn't burn out. There are still some drawings I have, but they're really too horrible to view. And I'm not being negative here, they really are.

This might be a little Trigger-y for some people. It involves death.

LIMBO
People often wonder about how it would be like if they died. It's a sudden, random thought, and you don't even know why you think of that. It's a burst of curiosity, others say. Besides, many believe that if you did die, you would simply not exist, nothing would happen. It would all go black, and that was the end.
However, you don't really know until you found out, would you?

One fateful day, you got into an unfortunate incident that knocked you unconscious. I wouldn't say death, but you could  call it that. Everything goes black, and you're unsure how long it is until you wake. Well, the first thing that hits you is the smell. The horrible stench of death, blood and ash. Next, you realize that you're sitting on soft grass, in the middle of a creepy forest, that is surrounded by darkness. The only source of light comes from the small gaps in the canopy above, and they seem to come from nowhere - you can't see any sky, clouds, or sun. Not even the moon. Behind the dim lights is blackness. You're left with nothing - No phone, no laptop, no weapon, nothing. Just your clothes, and yourself, of
course.

Yet, while you look like you're in the forest, the grass is short, like a newly trimmed lawn. Plus, there's an eerie silence around you, as if no animals or insects inhabited this place.

You get up and start to find out where you are, but you don't know what's coming your way.

At least, not yet...

LIMBO


A Dark, creepy and frightening Forest that seems to go on endlessly. The only source of light is coming from the gaps in the canopy above. Other than that, it is surrounded by darkness. The grass here is unusually short and not overgrown as it should be, and none of the trees look old. The area is eerily quiet, no sound of chirping insects or fluttering of birds. Yet, some creatures still lurk around. This place is called Limbo.
