Game Help / Re: Kijiako comes with a preset help, AGAIN...
« on: October 16, 2013, 09:19:55 pm »
As Amy said, you put preset_8head instead of 1, but here's an easier code for transparency cx
Code: [Select]
material preset_1_headMatL
{
technique
{
pass
{
alpha_rejection greater_equal 128
texture_unit
{
texture preset_1headL.png
}
}
}
}
material preset_1_headMatR
{
technique
{
pass
{
alpha_rejection greater_equal 128
texture_unit
{
texture preset_1headR.png
}
}
}
}
Just replace your coding for the head, with that. Hope that works okie for you!

What effect is it that you are trying to achieve on the preset? Scrolling, glowing or? ;o Since it's white, it means something is wrong in the coding and stuff.

Game Help / Re: Straight Stripes?
« on: October 16, 2013, 09:06:49 pm »
In gimp, there'll be an option to 'Open as a layer', click that then find the UV guide you want and voila. Then you can delete the layer afterwards. cx It'll keep the transparency and sturf aswell so you dun' have to edit it.

because of how the model is formed, unfortunately they do not go straight. X3 You know the UV references you get in your preset folder? Open the one for the body as a new layer (F or C depending on feline or canine) and where the lines are by the legs, for the stripes, follow the horizontal lines across there. The stripes will look mis-shaped and different sizes, but on the model, they will look even. If you need a picture showing what I mean I can make one for ya cause I can't explain well. xD

I've quite commonly found that, when I've had this happen with my manes on presets (the little white outlines) it's because I used the 'Fuzzy select tool' (this is what it is called in gimp, usually called the 'wand' tool on other programmes) to select the mane and then colour in, leaving white outlines. My solution is instead of using that to select it, instead just lock the alpha channel, or opacity or whatever it's called on your art programme and then colour in that way. Always has worked for me. Hope this helps. ^^
