Like Wolfkate said, you must obviously have the fhm file because you got into the map, but did your friend send you any .fho files?
If she did, a way that seems to get them to work for me is to place the .fho files in FeralHeart>Media>Objects instead of export. ^^

For the map making, you place the terrain and height mask in your Terrains folder which can be found in Feralheart>Media ^^ You then go into map maker and type in the names of the height map and terrain mask in the boxes.
As for the preset, if it shows up black and yellow, there's something wrong in the coding. If you send me the material file for your preset and tell me the names of your preset image files I can fix that for you. :3

I'm not really sure why it isn't working to be honest, but usually what i do if my heightmaps aren't working is, find the file called 'watermill.png' in your terrains folder, and copy and paste your heightmap over that and then save it. It usually works for me. x3

Like Vespian said, this should really be in the Help section of the forums. X3 And it depends what you mean, if you mean the movies you make in game, then those aren't saved I'm afraid. Though you could record those movies using a recording programme such as Fraps.
If you're using Fraps to make the movies already, then it'll be saved in your Fraps folder.
