Praise / Bloo
« on: July 23, 2020, 04:42:53 am »
Since the last board was removed, I just wanted to take the time to thank Bloo for the last thing they said within the board. It was a very respectful thing to do, and was a very hopeful thing for a member of the staff. They took accountability for their own behavior, and I feel like that needs to be recognized. So thank you for that Bloo, I really appreciate it. And from what others said before the board deleted it, they appreciated it as well.

Discussion Board / Musical Interests?
« on: July 04, 2016, 01:57:13 am »
I just came back from vacation and on the way up and down I listened to a bunch of different types of music. I love all kinds of music and a thought came to my head, what makes music so appealing? I know it's different for everyone so I'm curious about something. When it comes to music, do you like it based by the messages it can be interpreted into, the beat, a specific genre that you stick to, or is there a combination of things that draw you to certain songs? For me I think it varies by some songs, because I love a lot of different types of music I generally listen to them for the message, the beat, of course the way it sounds, and if I have a personal connection with it, moodwise or elsewise. What about the rest of you Feral Heart floofs? What draws you into liking a song first?

Praise / Shout out to ArcticGalaxy and Hakumi!
« on: June 26, 2016, 10:19:06 pm »
Okaie I feel like this is overdue, I see the both of them in almost every help thread and they're definitely dedicated to helping others. I personally know Hakumi and they almost always have the forums up on their phone. Which I'm sure a lot of you have noticed that Hakumi tends to be one of the first to always post, this is because they're so dedicated to helping others.

It almost always ends up being either Hakumi or ArcticGalaxy as the first ones to post in help threads and I know they're both very dedicated to Feral Heart. I want to thank them both for their numerous contributions and the fact they take time out of their lives to help as much as they possibly can. It was actually these two who have motivated me to be more active on the forums myself and I try my best to contribute as well. So I really truly want to thank you both for all of the help you do, and I want to also thank every other floof who does their best to help out the community. Let's all do our part to help our fellow floofs in this wonderful community! Thank you everyone!

Game Discussion / Character Similarities?
« on: June 26, 2016, 09:51:43 pm »
I've noticed that I've created a style for how my characters personalities and looks are, I've made characters similar to my other ones without even realizing it until later on. I realized a lot of the time I make my characters either more withdrawn and somewhat stuck up, kind or shy, and sometimes evil. But what I noticed with all of these character personalities is that they all seem to have some things in common. I often wonder if my own personality sometimes mixes in with the characters as I role play with them, even when I'm not trying to.

Has anyone else noticed a similarity in their characters, or have they learned things about their own personality from the personalities they give their characters?

Forum Suggestions & Ideas / Direct Reply Forum Idea
« on: June 22, 2016, 11:41:29 pm »
When it comes to the forums when we want to reply to other people we quote what they say, and often that means that everyone who posted in that forum gets the reply notification (replies to your recent posts) even if it wasn't directed towards them. I feel like it would be a good idea if there was a way to directly reply to the person you want to speak with, where they will get a notification that is just from the reply directed towards them.

Game Discussion / Personal Life and FH
« on: June 22, 2016, 04:59:08 am »
I never thought I would have to write this but it's gotten to the point I think I should. As you all know Feral Heart is a game that is filled with players of all different kinds that come from all different backgrounds. It can be a really fun game, but sometimes things are brought up that shouldn't be.

Quite often I have noticed people on Feral Heart bringing out their issues in public chat, such as a tragedy that has happened recently, often without being asked about it. This is often provoked by something being said in the chat that is related to such a thing. If something is bothering you in local chat, it's best to block the person saying it or to turn off local chat. If it's something that is very inappropriate for the game then it should be reported. I'm going to use an example to show something that happened recently on the chat that needs to be avoided. It's completely anonymous.

As I was going through the grounds, people were telling others not to say a specific word because it was a trigger word. As far as I remember, it was a simple word. They then began speaking about the anxiety and suicide attempts that they had done because of the word.

Now I understand that people have issues, and I understand some people help out others when it comes to these issues that are brought up in game. But speaking of these issues in a public chat is not okay. Remember, this is a game it's meant to be fun and void of serious issues outside of it. I'm not saying people shouldn't bring the issues up with their friends on Feral Heart in a private chat, but please refrain from using the public chat because it can cause people to become depressed.

Also, even in private chat I believe it's best if you understand that everyone has problems, and that it's important to not take advantage of the kindness of others. Remember that even if someone wants to help you, they don't exist just for you. Please refrain from threatening harm to yourself or anyone. If you truly are upset, then the best thing to do is to speak to someone whom you're very close to instead of bringing it into a game.

Now as I said, sometimes it can help to bring it out into the game. But please keep everyone in mind when you are doing such a thing, and keep it in a private chat.

I hope this helps with avoiding drama in the future.

(This is no way means that I wont help those who need it, I do my best to help others who have personal issues, but I'm really just saying this because not everyone wants to hear them. It's important to keep everyone in mind and remember that this is a game and not a place for therapy. This is also a safety thing because there are people out there who will use your issues against you and try to make you even more miserable. Remember to play safely.)

Introduction / Hey everyone!
« on: June 17, 2016, 11:04:56 pm »
I have yet to really introduce myself on this site even though I've become more active on the forums. I think it's only fair for me to let you know who I really am because it might clear up some confusion about my actions as well.

Gender: Female

My personality:

My personality is hard to really explain other than I can see things from many points of views and understand why people act the way they act. I'm what I can only say as a rainbow of personality and emotions, one day I can act more like a tomboy while on other days I can act more girly. Or it can change throughout the day, I like to think that I'm something with a bunch of different flavors because of how I act. When I need to be serious, I'm completely serious. Otherwise I enjoy goofing around and having fun, although some of my humor might be considered immature. (Who am I kidding, I can be really immature xD) I can still see things seriously and try to solve problems with a way that's good for everyone. I believe that it's impossible for everyone to be happy with one thing, but if a common ground is found and compromises are made, then I believe that life can be comfortable and fun.

Occupation: I currently am a college student working towards a general studies degree, I've gained knowledge in psychology, biology, history, and I'm able to diagnose an issue with a computer quite often. I'm getting this degree for the experience of being around other people more often and being less of an introvert. I do have a lot of health issues and eventually I plan on going back to college once I find out what I truly want to do with my life and when I'm able to more properly succeed in other skills. (Not that I'm failing in this, I've managed to get A's in most of my courses, really hoping I can keep it up -crosses fingers-)

Hobbies: Reading, drawing, role playing, painting, swimming, video games, making male and female nightcore music

Things I like: (Other than what's in my hobbies) Pokemon, Yugioh (First series), Animals, Anime, some tv shows of different genres, music of a huge variety of genres, hanging with my best friend/sister and the rest of my family

I believe that as long as you're not hurting anyone, including yourself, you can be yourself, no matter how weird it may seem to others. We're all different, we all have different brain waves and we all have our own memories and experiences that make us who we are. Just be yourself! And don't feel threatened if other people don't like what you don't like, it just means that we are all individuals, it's only natural.

Welp, that's everything I can think of to put for now.

-virtually shakes everyone's hands- It's a pleasure to more "officially" meet all of you floofs!

Other Mods/Creations / Items and Markings (Mass)
« on: June 10, 2016, 03:34:53 am »
I wasn't quite sure where I could put these two links in one post so I put it here. These are the mass marking links and the Item links for those who need them. This leads to Deviantart and one leads to mediafire.

Game Discussion / A message about the new update.
« on: June 10, 2016, 02:22:56 am »
Hello everyone, as you know Feral Heart just went though a big update and a lot of things have changed. I have noticed that there are people who are unhappy with the update and I just wanted to explain a few things. People often have a hard time transitioning into something new, if this is how Feral Heart was originally and we changed to the old way, people would be reacting in the same manner. Change is a difficult thing to grasp, especially for something that has been the same for several years, but even if change can be scary it doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad thing. It is true that there will be some bugs and glitches that need to be worked through because it is just starting out, but we had the same issue back with Flourite plains in the beginning when people would constantly have to reset their characters there when they crashed. We also had plenty of major crashes throughout the time that feral heart has existed but the staff has worked hard to make sure that we are able to still play this game. You have to remember that the original creator is no longer here, it could of just ended when he left, but no, the staff decided they wanted to keep feral heart going for all of the players who enjoy it, and they did a pretty darn good job of it despite the issues. This is a free game as well, which means staff aren't paid, they did everything they've done for free and managing a site and game is far from easy.

The maps have gotten smaller that is true, but because of this they also run faster.
The places have changed, but things do need to change in order for progress to be made. If everything stayed the same then people would become bored of the game and certain issues would never be fixed.
There is a lot more on the maps now, including an awesome underwater map.

I know it can be hard to accept change, but I feel that this update is worth it. We just need to stick to it and let ourselves get used to it. Eventually those who hate it might end up liking it a lot better as time goes on. So everyone please just give it a try, a lot of work was put into these and it is impossible to please everyone.

And now I would like to thank everyone who has worked on this update and for everything they have done involving the site and entire game from the start. Thank you, Feral Heart is a great game and even if it changes I'm glad it exists because it holds many precious memories to me and there aren't many free role play games like this.

Whenever I'm creating a character I'm stuck with the difficult choice of what markings to use, and always in the back of my mind I begin thinking. If I use normal markings do people doubt my literacy? I know this shouldn't be connected, but people have often been associating the normal markings for those who have just recently joined or are younger. I wont let it effect what I choose my characters to look like, I'm just curious about what other people think about those who use just mass markings, just normal markings, or a mix for their character? Do people really think about it, or see it as a sign of noobishness or literacy?

Also, what do you think about people/characters without markings?
