Game Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Make Feral Heart great again!
« on: October 01, 2017, 03:27:44 am »
Honestly, I just don't see Feral Heart as the type of game that would be worth a monthly subscription. I love the game and all, but a lot of the reason I've stayed involved is because of nostalgia and the community. Feral Heart just doesn't have the aspects that would make it a game people would want to pay money for. It lacks upgrades, special items, and a lot of things that other paid for games have. Heck there are other free games out there that have so much more than Feral Heart has, including flash games.

Feral Heart is a game close to a lot of people's hearts because of nostalgia reasons, it's free, it's already hard to get registered, there are so many glitches and issues, it's far from a professional quality game. A new player, someone who hasn't had the chance to make bonds and really see what Feral Heart is about, wouldn't be willing to pay a fee. I've been on Feral Heart since before General Chat was banned, and I've made so many memories, but even then if it became something to pay for, I would drop it in an instant. Too many games now are cash grabs, and Feral Heart just doesn't have any of the components to be one of them.

The idea of Feral Heart was to have a family-like community, and having to pay for it will make it so many players probably will stop playing. The economy is harsh, heck I could blow through 400 dollars just on groceries if I actually had to buy them, and that's the entirety of my pay for a month. Not to mention bills, etc.

People pay to play games that offer a lot of features, has a good constant upkeep, has hardly any holes in the security, and with Feral Heart having been hacked so many times, they could easily lose any money they receive from the players.

Game Help / Re: Wont let me log in

I just tried a different browser and that didnt work. I tried redownloading it and that didnt work. How do i check my cookies, caches, and proxies?"

Hey, so as far as proxies go, disabling them would only give more issues, at least that's what should happen. A proxy or proxy server is basically the communicator between your IP address and what you're telling your computer to do. As far as finding cookies and such, go to your browser and delete your history, when you choose to delete your history it should bring up something that asks what you want to delete, cookies being one of them, as well as the cache.

I know currently that there are some issues surrounding Feral Heart logins, I've witnessed this myself when at one point in time I was able to get into my account by simply typing in any password without using my actual one, but that was only on the forums and the issue is no longer present. The issue you're having could very well be something missing within your game files which effects the login, in which case you should completely get rid of everything to do with Feral Heart from your computer, not just uninstall it, and then download it once more and try again.

It could also be the order in which you're attempting to log in. Log into the play game portion before you even start Feral Heart, that gives it some time, then start up Feral Heart and attempt to log in, if that doesn't work then I'm not sure what the problem is. It could be your firewall, or it could be your computer doesn't  properly support the game. Do you have windows? And if so, what version? Apple, I don't know much about and Linux is definitely far from my knowledge. What I do know is that if you're running it on a computer with windows Vista, you might have an issue.

I've played the game on this same computer before, It just randomly stopped working for me one day. Haven't been able to figure it out after it stopped.

That's strange, I'm sorry I really don't know what the issue might be. It might have to do with something in your computer, such as it being too slow, or your internet being too slow to load the game. Of course it could be something else but other than completely getting rid of Feral Heart off the c-drive and redownloading/installing everything, I don't know what else might work.

Incorrect about proxies but you're on the right track with the rest of it. ^^ A proxy is not in any way part of the regular communication process between the internet and a PC so disabling proxies wouldn't do any disruption of IP to Server communication. And the reason for disabling proxies is that a web proxy will make it so your IP on your web browser, which would be your IP on the login tab, differs from the IP on your computer, which would be the IP the game client connects with. A proxy is basically a way to encrypt your connection.

Really? It's been so long since I've looked into proxies to be honest so my memory wasn't really there. I just sort of looked at the definition of proxy in order to refresh my memory and this is what I got: A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting.

Plus I've had an issue in the past with disabling proxies causing my internet to not work correctly.

No worries. I'm by far no expert on this but from my knowledge and experimental usage of proxies, a proxy is a server that you can utilize to encrypt your connection and conceal your identity (not completely). It also has other functions which might lead some people to want to use them--in which they'd have to manually enable them--but they are a sometimes a reason behind game connectivity issues. c:

Oh okay, thank you for the information. x3 I was raised by a major computer geek so I know a lot about certain parts of computers, but proxies aren't my cup of tea, and the definition made it even more confusing. xD

Game Discussion / Re: Have you blurted out anything random before?
« on: August 31, 2017, 05:10:50 am »
I think almost everyone posts something random at some point. It's fun to see people's reactions, that's for sure. xD I remember someone ran by a long time ago before the update and yelled "You'll never get my lucky charms!" It made my day, so yeah no problem with being random, sometimes it's the best way to start an interaction with people. xD

Game Discussion / Re: Where Do You Hangout In-Game?
« on: July 31, 2016, 09:25:12 pm »
When I'm actually in game (Haven't been recently) I tend to run, spazz around as much as I possibly can because I hate being still and I feel like running around is kind of thrilling in game xD but so far my favorite places to hang out would have to be the pavilion like place in the underwater place who's name unfortunately escapes me at the moment. (Been kind of in a fog lately) and the tall grass of Kiwimbi, plus the logs I like to lay down on in Cherika xD

Forum Discussion / Re: An Honest Rant
« on: July 31, 2016, 09:08:27 pm »
I don't see the point in it all honestly. Why can't everyone here just love one another and all be equally as helpful and loving without an undercurrent of lies and just wanting to be "the special one"
This is exactly how I feel, people should be good to the community just to be good to the community with no other intentions. After all, helping others is a true reward in itself.

Leaving / Re: See you in another life.

I think you're taking it way too far, there's nothing wrong with wanting to help people. It's not a popularity thing with everyone and for some people I know in particular who happen to be MOTS are just giving back to the community. There's nothing wrong with helping others and if that's what's really getting to you then I think you need to look at your priorities. Don't be so quick to assume that just because someone is very active it means they're just doing it for popularity. It's a sad thing when you take the kindness of others and decide it has evil intent, especially when someone actually feels they can make a difference and are taking a form of responsibility. No, I commend all of those who help, and this is a ridiculous notion that you have.

Also I'm sorry for this not being a normal goodbye, but I feel the need to protect my fellow floofs who have a lot of freetime that they dedicate to helping others.
