Forum Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Name colors....
« on: July 22, 2016, 09:19:42 pm »
I agree, I think it would be better if name and star colors matched. (Although I like the blue look, so maybe they could keep the star color and just change the name color to match it, instead of the other way around xD) We'll just have to wait and see how these updates will make the site look in the end x3

Game Discussion / Re: Is Feral Heart dying?
« on: July 22, 2016, 09:14:45 pm »
Although it's true that Feral Heart isn't as active as it once was I've seen an increase in users playing since the update. A record had been set since the update with I believe 600 something members playing at once and I have noticed the increase as well. I believe a lot of it involves the time of day (Feral Heart is around the world and with so many time zones it's not going to be a constant number) I have a feeling that Feral Heart is slowly going to grow once again to its former glory, it just needs time and I do agree that ads for Feral Heart might be of help, but unfortunately something like that most likely wont happen because it costs money to advertise.

Game Discussion / Re: Sparkle Characters: Do you like them?
« on: July 18, 2016, 10:07:41 pm »
If they are honestly being sparkle characters because of just how pretty they are and the fondness for them, that is wonderful. The ones that are trolls....not a big fan to be honest.
Yeah I know what you mean, the ones that troll tend to make characters that hurt my eyes. Bright yellow, blue polka dots, bright pink mane, not really a fan of them, but if they make a character that has multiple colors because they like those colors, or just plain unnatural colors, then I'm perfectly fine with that. I used to have a a blue wolf that had bright green markings on it, and that was back in the beginning when I didn't role play or anything like that and just liked hanging with my friends. (Still prefer to just hang with my friends) but I made sure to tone it down so it wasn't too bright, and I used these colors because I liked it. It all really depends on why the person created the character and if they're courteous of everyone else.

Game Help / Re: Cannot use certain connotations in-game.

This is strange, I haven't seen something like this before. Since you're not using a normal english keyboard it could be possible that it's the specific type of keyboard. (Regardless of whether it's set to english or not, the game might not recognize it) You may need to buy a different brand keyboard, or if it's a laptop, it might be the type of laptop as well. I hope that these aren't the cases and that the solution is much simpler than going out and buying new things, perhaps you should look through your keyboard settings more.

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Re: The Cold North
« on: July 16, 2016, 11:55:04 pm »
Personally I would love something like that, unfortunately I don't think it will be officially added into the game. Red before he left, had said that part of the reason for the update was for the game to be more natural with habitats and that it didn't make much sense from being in a warm climate and going to a cold one, although if another map was put in between, such as a long winding pathway, then that might be a good way to separate it. Although if something like this were to happen, I doubt it would be for many years to come, so for now we at least can go on custom maps.

Game Help / Re: FeralHeart refusing to open/force quit
« on: July 16, 2016, 11:50:19 pm »
I don't know much about macs but from what I know the update wasn't available for them specifically so there might be a few glitches and issues. If nothing else works I suggest that when you play it and whenever you want to exit out of it, to use the buttons ctrl, alt, delete or del, simultaneously and get rid of it from your task manager. (Unless of course it doesn't work that way for macs) Sorry if this isn't much help, I'm really not familiar with anything other than windows ;o;

Leaving / Re: I think it's about time.
« on: July 16, 2016, 06:23:00 am »
I was not expecting this at all, I guess it just goes to show that people do grow and lives to bring us into busy times. It's a shame but at the same time it leads us to many new opportunities and more chances of happiness. At least you'll always have the nostalgia and memories from Feral Heart and I hope you have a good and successful life. Thank you for your contributions Pan, I hope that everything goes well for you and the roads you encounter lead to many wonderful things.

Game Help / Re: Map Crashing...
« on: July 12, 2016, 10:53:56 pm »
I'm not exactly sure how maps work with this new update, but it very well could be the size of the map isn't compatible with the newest update. The maps are significantly smaller now, and they have a new software for the game. It might also be that the items, or some of them, might not be compatible with the update either.

Nothing was changed that would effect how any of the maps run both new or old. I quote:

The object groups for map making has also been cleaned up a bit and boast some new meshes in there, so even if you don't know how to properly add meshes and make object groups yet mapping should be more of a breeze! Also for those who are concerned, your custom maps should still work as is. If you made your custom map with only the default groups and didn't add any special meshes to the default groups like (mytrees, myrocks, because you shouldn't anyway), these maps will work after this update.

All the old things are still as is.

Sounds to me like meshes got lost and that caused something to break in the map. Most likely what happened was that your friend edited and or added stuff to the default object groups when they first made the map instead of keeping things in a custom group like MyObjects. That would explain why it crashes on the newer version of Feral Heart and not the old one. Whenever you are making maps you should never add, remove, or do anything with the default groups or you risk messing up how stuff works between you and others using those maps.

All my own custom maps and friend's custom maps still work so it was most likely an error on your friend's part unfortunately.

Oh okay thank you, I'm sorry I keep getting conflicting things from so many other people about what's going on with the maps. xD

Forum Discussion / Re: Do you ask yourself...?
« on: July 12, 2016, 10:51:22 pm »
I've changed quite a bit since I first started on Feral Heart. In the beginning I was way more immature and more of an attention seeker which to this very day I regret. I was also very naive and would allow myself to get too attached to people I barely knew, only to end up being hurt by them. I've learned that true friendships can be made over Feral Heart, but only if it goes outside of it as well. I've made a special connection with someone that I ended up meeting afterwards. (I don't recommend meeting someone outside of Feral Heart unless you're absolutely sure you can trust them, that they are telling the truth, that you don't feel the need to question what they're saying too much, and if you know their family and so forth. In a way I broke a rule of the internet getting so close to this person, it was definitely worth it, but a risky move all the same, which is why I suggest people really get to know one another for at the very least two years before deciding to meet up.) Anyway, I've matured in my way of thinking, I've learned that even if I want to I can't just help everyone that needs it and I shouldn't trust right away that something bad really happened to someone and feel responsible for fixing it. Most of the time it turns out those people are lying for attention and to make their lives more exciting. I feel like I've learned a lot on allowing people in emotionally and because of that I do tend to shut people out more at times because I've learned when to trust and when not to, at least to a certain degree. So as it goes, I'm not wanting to go back to how I used to be, I've become more internet safe since then and more emotionally safe.
