~ Whispers of the Wind ~

This is a small RP thread for anyone who would like to RP while the server is still down. XD So anyone can join in but It would be advisable to use realistic animals in this RP thread as it is set in a natural forest XD)

The rusty, golden and brown leaves rustled in the trees as a gentle breeze blew past. Birds tweeted in the trees, while the squirrels were getting busy with gathering up nuts in a small food ditch and storing them, for the upcoming Winter. It was getting colder and, soon, the snow would start falling down onto the forest - covering the branches in white, soft snow. A crisp, Autumn morning scent filled the forest as a silver-grey wolf emerged from a hollow log den. She had been asleep for quite some time, now. Parting her jaws in a yawn, Artemis stretched and padded outside to greet the new morning with a bright smile. Her azure blue eyes observed every detail.

She could see a robin pecking away at the fallen seeds of a nearby tree. Everything was so calm... Usually the forest would be buzzing with MANY more creatures! The silver wolf enjoyed the peace though - it made her feel relaxed and in harmony.

A female wolf walked over to the grey wolf curiously "Hello there!" she barked flicking her tail in greeting before looking around the forest "I swear....it is really quite quiet today...." she said continuing to look around.

Artemis nearly jumped up in surprise as she heard someone approach her. Turning her head, she looked over to see a female wolf approaching. "Oh, Hello!" She smiled before lifting up her head to sniff the air. She could smell the smell of the crisp Autumn morning as well as the smell of the juicy meat, coming from the elk carcass, in her den. She had been out hunting, yesterday, and she managed to take down an elk. The hoofed mammal's carcass would probably last for a week!

Stretching, the silver wolf gently shook out her thick, sleek pelt before turning over to the female wolf. "I went hunting yesterday. Would you like some elk meat?" Artemis tilted her head before disappearing in her den and coming back with a huge chunk of meat from the carcass. She placed it down in front of the other wolf's paws before turning back to sniffing the air.

- Carnith

The wolf lapped their jaws, licking off the drops of water from a river downhill in a seemingly impossible-to-find location where vegetation grew in as coverage. Carnith would walk easily into the thickly set forest where the sounds of thousands came into play as a welcome for one to come and witness the unsystematic exchange of many. The weak current of wind began to pick up some and so was the smell of blood in the air. The canine reacted easily to the scent, head rising and expelling a short howl before striding away from the scent in search of some other prey. Carnith had ultimately decided on staying in place and listening to the thunder of chirps to croaks that emanated from the forest as time passed.

Artemis twitched her ears at hearing a short howl in the distance. Out of extinct, she lifted her head up and gave off a short howl to reply to the other howl. The silver wolf started to wonder who the wolf, who gave off the first howl, was? Maybe she could go and investigate. Hmm... Shaking out her thick pelt, she scanned her surroundings before moving forward - deeper into the golden, brown and orange forest.

- Carnith

Having little to do and so much to aid the canines future needs that will certainly come to pass surrounding them, there was no hesitation when preferring the site that would inevitably become the camping spot of the wolf to claim for the upcoming night. Though, it was hard to tell the time of day with the trees leaning over in a seemingly endless voyage to reach out to the suns magnificent rays-- this hallowed light left small patches of sun flickering through and exposing the soil below to those rays within the mostly shadowed area. A blinding chance if caught in the eye by the harsh light.

Of course, the wolf would engage in an alerted sense of someone or somethings presence nearby eventually, just carrying over the wind to pass Carnith, and give the wolf a signal of whether to dash. Carnith continued to lay idly, engulfed by the surrounding brush that loomed near, and fell into a light sleep.

A few moments later... No, a few seconds later a short howl came in response. It told merely of notice and didn't seem to intend harm in the message, but Carnith couldn't be quite sure because most of the message was chopped off mostly because the canine hadn't expected a reply at all. Surprised by this, the wolf was unsure of whether to dart pass and use the forests coverage now or wait for the fellow wolf to come near. Carnith wen't into a crouch, crawling beneath some thickly set brush that favored the winds current which would cover Carnith's scent in case. He'd set a plan for this little meeting that would soon come-- he would either take the role of feigning curiosity and comfort, or make oneself scarce or cautious at the least when relating to levels of harshness in the upcoming exchange. It was bound to happen unless a bear decided to come to play, or worse, another wolf.
