The Akuba
History
Thousands of years ago, a great wolf pack walked the land, carrying themselves with such pride. The Akuba species (now a rare site to see) was thought to have been the most gracious and trustworthy allies, and deadliest creatures. There trust was life bonding, never failing to protect one another or there fellow mates, and always be at your side. Life trust was a very important privilege, since these species could live for long periods of times, some as long as a thousand years. They aged very slowly, which is how they developed such wisdom on many aspects in life. Many thought this gift was a curse, a curse to live thousands of years and watch the world slowly die, with that it's how they got their name...
The Akuba - The Cursed Although many would say it was a curse, the human species believed this was a powerful strength to be harnessed. Along with the akuba life span, the species had unbelievable stamina and power. At this the humans began to make a bind with the akuba, to ally with them, but only for the benefit of war. After seeing what the human race's real objective was, the akuba tried to separate themselves from the humans and tie off the bond. This resulted in a war itself for freedom for the akuba... To either serve as Slaughter slaves for the human race, or face their own death in fighting for their freedom. Two thousand lost their lives, while only a few escaped, some injured and dying in their last few hours of freedom. Others trapped still in their slavery and killed for rebellion, or testing to acquire their abilities. The Human race hunted the remaining akuba, trying to wipe out the entire race, and erase their disgusting past.
Once thought extinct, the akuba yet still survived...but in hiding. These remaining ones passing down the story, to keep in mind what evils happened so long ago. They hid in the very outskirts of the land, each on their own and only came together when pups and pack needs were desired. This way they could not be all found together, trusting this method would keep their species alive. As a result, the akuba never waged war... not allowing themselves to be lowered to the human rank, and be slaves to themselves of violence. Although, the akuba still fought, allying with fellow canine packs and protecting one another. Only fighting when the need was great and worth it.
Today, those few remaining akuba who escaped now look for others to their cause. To rebuild their broken past and become a pack again. As this great species now reveals themselves, they recruit others to join their force and become mighty again.
Appearance
The Akuba have a wide variety of looks, but feature some familiar markings. Common look is of a dark purple or black looking pelt, some appearing to be blue in color. Most genetic eye color is a light blue, and body markings tend to be a mix of tiger/stripe with a blueish purple look. Hybrids from species mix tend to have a faded out appearance of the akuba, but would be hard to distinguish.
