Collisions and lag?
« on: July 03, 2012, 01:48:08 am »
In my map, I have a very dense forest.  I was wondering if I took the collisions away from the trees perhaps it would be less laggy?

I does make it less laggy if you uncheck the button show collissions. But getting rid of collisions wont stop lag. If you have too many items in one area this causes lag. Turn off water reflection and put viewing distance at minimum and this should slow down most lag.

Yes, I know that.  But it is VERY laggy for my map tester in one part of my map.  So collisions take away lag, right? lD I'm a little confused because you said it did take away lag and then in your next sentence you said it didn't.

Lol i should have reworded that. Forget what i said about collisions lol. If the box is already unchecked and you did everything else i said, then it's probably caused by just too much sturf in one place. :) AND FULL MEMBER BABY!!! WOOO ^0^

As Bloo said,
I don't think taking the collisions away would help.
I think the issue is the density of the forest.
You can make the forest less dense, or if it works fine for some people, just not certain others, than it could be their computers that are the problem.
