Feral Heart

Hello, hello, peoples! Recently, a good friend of mine has made a map for my pack and our alliance to share. Now that she's finished and distributed the download link, there seems to be a problem that neither of us can figure out a fix for. This is where you guys come in!

Problem:
I am getting an OLD version of the map- one that we tested a few days ago. No one else, out of five or six others that I know of, have the same problem (even the other person who tested the same map!)

Things we have tried that have failed:
I have cleared out my exports and redownloaded the map.
She has re-exported the map and reuploaded it (and I redownloaded it).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled FH and all of my presets, mods, and marking packs.
I have downloaded her entire objects folder into mine.
I have gotten all of the files for the map, imported it into Map Maker, and exported it myself. Still, it did not work. I got the same results as above.

Now we don't know what else to do, as its a rather simple download. Exports go into exports, and boom, we're done. I've downloaded plenty maps before and have never had a problem like this. Again: I am the only one in an old version of the map- I can't see half of the things she's put in the new export while everyone else can.

What else can I do to remedy this?

UPDATE: I will also see up to FOUR separate portals for the SAME map (I only have this one downloaded) despite only having one FHM file in my exports.

UPDATE 2: This may or may not be related to what has decided to plague my FH, but when I completely clear my exports, I still see two to three of the same exact portal- I've gone in them and one is the FIXED map, and one is the OLD map. However, my exports is EMPTY. What??

FIX: If anyone has this problem, feel free to use the fix I did, as it was the only thing that worked: Get the map files from your friend/mapmaker, import it into mapmaker yourself, and export it. Your group/pack/friends will have to redownload the map to use it with you, but this SHOULD solve your problem! <3

The FeralHeart server currently seems to be experiencing a lot of problems, and the staff are working hard to fix it. For now we've just got to hang on tight and wait for these situations to be fixed up.

For now, things like "FeralHeart.exe isn't working" could just be a crash, so you'll have to try using a different character or try playing again later.

Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon, the server master is looking into it as we speak.

  I forgot to mention in the description of the problem that It won't go past the first loading picture that leads to the login screen. >.< I'll try playing later. Thank you! <3

Just a suggestion.

Run it and then run FH in windowed mode. Look in the task bar what sort of temperature numbers you get. If you get numbers above the 80c mark then the cause might be overheating. Even though many CPU's can cope heat up to 85-95 it's not a healthy number. If you get numbers below 70c or similar it's most likely not a heat issue from there at least, but IF it would be overheating...

Taking for granted the processor fan actually spins and cools down the heatsink.

Make sure the processor heatsink is attached and get proper contact with the surface of the processor, it just takes it being slightly loose to prevent it from cooling down and reach too high temperatures, it must have good contact with the surface or you're probably very likely to overheat. You might also want to remove the old thermal paste and re-apply new in that case since you had this issue for a while and it never hurts doing things properly.

   I appreciate the suggestion, but my step-dad and I find it hard to see it overheating. There's no time for it to overheat, I click on my character and take one step and it shuts off my computer.

 Okay, so I've been having this problem for about a year and everything I've tried hasn't fixed my problem. Whenever I log in, it takes somewhere from 20seconds to 10 minutes for my computer to shut itself off completely. It happens ONLY when I play Feralheart. I've cleaned the dust from the fans on my laptop, I've updated the graphics card, I've cleaned my computer, updated the video card driver, and ran it in compatibility mode and none of it has stopped/fixed the problem. I have a Windows 7 laptop.

  About a year ago, before I switched computers, I had a windows desktop and this game worked perfectly fine on that computer. I had to switch, because my old desktop's graphics card burnt out or something. I've also tried Direct and OpenGL settings. Neither work. My step-dad suggests I use the Direct one, and that one lets me last a little longer, but it still crashes. I would appreciate immediate help/advice if possible. Thank you!
  EDIT: I have a laptop, and I play other games like Sims4, and Minecraft and they both work fine. It's JUST FeralHeart.

Okay for a while now I've had issues with logging into FH and not being able to enjoy playing for maybe more than five, ten, fifteen minutes before my computer shuts down unexpectedly. I've tried playing with no other tabs open, with other tabs open, on different games too. And so far, it's only FH that makes my computer crash repeatedly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled FH a couple times and it fixes the problem for a couple of hours before the crashing recontinues. Each time I crash I have less and less play time before I crash again. Help?

Edit: I've recently changed computers from a desktop to my current laptop. Both are Windows. I had no issues with my desktop's FeralHeart.
