[HELP quickly] Map help please!

Ok so first of all, i'm on a mac. Ok so I have a map that is .rar and I want to be able to use it because it is for a group I joined. But I can't expand it because I don't have a program to do so and I don't know where to put it. Help please?

Some people have been saying if its a .rar then you can't get on it or mess with it. (I dont know much about .rar because i've never had to deal with it but thats what people are saying)

Well to open it you will need WinRar, from there you can extract it then move the files to the right folder. I dont have a mac so im only giving the information on wat i would do on my Windows 7. I dont know how similair extracting files are on mac and windows but you shouldnt be too different when doing these types of things.
