Those Lightning Meshes?
« on: March 29, 2018, 08:44:00 pm »
There used to be this wonderfully animated lightning mesh, and now it's nowhere to be found;however, I did see the old thread where the original link was posted, only that link no longer works. I could really use this mesh for my upcoming maps, but it seems no one else has anything similar. I can hardly ever find animated meshes. (which, if anyone has any links to animated meshes of any sort, I'd definitely be interested!)

Do you have a link to the old thread?  If i can't find it i can try to make something similar.

They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?

Moving this to the Request/Find Meshes childboard.

I hope you find what you're looking for. I think I remember seeing some lightning objects back in the day.

Well... i can't figure out what they'd done for lightning meshes except for maybe a backdrop.  That'll take me some time to make.  But for now, try a particle (The images in the thread are long lost it appears)

The particle is old and not well optimized.  i could do better but not right now.

Here is a really terrible lighting cylinder mesh i whipped up.  It makes the clouds disappear though...
While i can imagine an animated lightning mesh it'd take a little while to create.
