Map installing on macs

To install a map on a mac, do you just install it the same way you would on a pc? thanks

I would assume that everything would go into the exports folder if you're installing maps unless the instructions says otherwise.

Oh so you don't need a different version of the map for macs, the same way works fine? Because I tried it that way and it didn't work

Well, you have to keep in mind that some objects ( if you installed maps before and are wanting to use them again ) aren't compatible with the New FH. So in order for the maps to work, not only do you need to put them in the correct folder ( exports , textures, what have you ), you need to be sure that the map would be compatible.

If it's not compatible will it just not show up as a portal?

It might show up as the portal, yes ( even though the portal is really transparent ), but the moment you go in, your game might crash instantly no matter what you do.
