Site/Forum Help / Is it possible to "unsubscribe" from a thread?
« on: September 25, 2014, 08:58:01 pm »
I had looked into this matter a while back, methinks sometime in 2012 or early 2013, and I'm fairly positive the answer was "No.". But I'm still curious, is there a way to 'unsubscribe' from a thread? For example: I post once in a thread, and thenceforward I receive notifications in the 'show new replies to your posts' area every time someone else posts in that thread. If I mark everything as read, then it just comes back the next time someone, anyone else responds to it - it doesn't matter if it's days or weeks or months since my post - it doesn't matter if the post was in response to mine or not: so long as somebody posts, I get updated about it.

Some threads I posted in date back towards the beginning of my registration, threads that I've long since forgotten about or have stopped caring about - it would be great if there was a way to remove these threads from my active notifications, as there's no need to keep me updated on them anymore. So is there a way to do it? ^^

Media / FaceRig (Now with a singing wolf!)
« on: August 28, 2014, 09:03:33 pm »

What is FaceRig, you ask?
FaceRig is a brand new program that takes input from a webcam and uses real-time data from your face to animate various 3d characters; you can then use this output as a webcam for Skype, Twitch.tv, or whatever else you might desire - so you could be in a video call as a talking wolf!

I got my hands on this wonderful software today, and I thought I'd share my first experience with you guys. Here's a video:

Let me know what you think! ^^

Other Games / Plink
« on: August 27, 2014, 06:23:01 pm »
So I found this game recently, and I was wondering if perhaps anyone here has played it? It's this really fun browser game called Plink, and it could be summed up as a 'multiplayer music experience'. Basically each player controls a sphere on a musical scale, and you can play different instruments by selecting colours on the right. Players can drop in and out at anytime, so there's times when you're alone, and other times when there's half a dozen people making chaos simultaneously.

As for the sound, there's a limited number of notes, and it's all set to the same electronic drum-beat, and everything sounds good, so you don't really have to worry about being good or bad at music - you just need to have a basic sense of rhythm, and even if you don't chances are you'll make something sound decent. Here's a video of me playing it:

If you haven't played it, I highly recommend giving it a go. ^^

Hiyo, folks! This is my Minecraft "Let's Play" series, titled "I'll Play", where I play a modded Minecraft entirely by myself and record the adventure. I hope you enjoy. ^^

Description:
"In this new series, I play completely alone in a world with no external player influence. In this episode, I talk whilst forgetting to record it, so I don't talk. Enjoy the silence."

Episode #2: The One With a Narrator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=R5xjNTHcZNo
Description:
"In this video I remember to record my microphone input. I also get started on a house."

Episode #3: The One With No Gold
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=1qJTiCEEeMI
Description:
"In this episode I do some mining, and I decide I want to get some gold in order to start working on Thaumcraft - unfortunately my iron pickaxe breaks, and by the time I have a new one I no longer know where the gold is. I also go off on a small tangent/rant about people that complain over certain diminutive aspects in video-games; sorry about that :\"

Episode #4: The One Where I Stop Naming Episodes "The One With..."

Description: "Fourth episode!"

Videos / FeralHeart Character Montage
« on: May 21, 2014, 09:41:29 am »
This here is a little character montage I decided to put together of mostly every character I've made over my two years playing this game. Super special thanks to Harkane for helping out with the ending. I hope you folks enjoy! ^^

Song is "Lonely" by Analog Fury.

Also, I recommend watching in fullscreen or in Youtube's large player so it's easier to see what's going on.

Stories / Dead

He was walking. He didn't know where. A song played over and over again in his head until his tears were laid bare. The sun was setting and the clouds were gone. Nothing could be heard. The faces he saw did not talk. Their voices were silent. Nothing could be heard. He wanted to scream but he had no voice. He was tired of walking. The sun had set and the clouds were gone. He cast himself upon the earth. The ground is filled with maggots and the sky is filled with buzzards he said. He was torn apart. He was bones. Nothing could be heard.

Other Mods/Creations / Fluorite Plains in the Unreal 3 Engine

This is a project that I and Harkane have been working on for quite some time; recently, we've had a hiatus for a few months, and it seems like neither of us have any real desire to continue. Still, I'm happy with the work that's been done thus far despite some obvious errors with texturing, shadowing, and the map being incorrectly scaled. Over the course of our progress on this, I've taken a few screenshots; as they're doing nought but sitting around on my hard-drive, I might as well post them here.

Pictures around the N/Z:

L Island:

Den near the north:

Island to the Cape of Lost Worlds:

Stone Bridge:

That's about everything! Before you ask, no, I am not trying to recreate FeralHeart, nor do I have any desire to do so; think of this as more of an 'experiment' with the UDK. That aside, I hope you enjoyed looking. ^^
