Introduction / Back from an Unannounced Absence <3
« on: March 10, 2015, 12:54:04 am »
Hello again ;v; Some of you may not even remember me, I've been gone for so long!

A few months ago, my activity on the forums and in-game had been dwindling to the point where I hadn't visited this place in a very, very long time. There were too many things going on in my life that I had to concentrate on - University and my health being two prominent reasons. I won't go into too much detail about it, but essentially I have had to leave my University course due to my health being too bad to continue.

However, that does mean I will have a lot more free time! So, on a more positive note, I'd like to return to the FH forums officially as a more active member. I may not be totally active right away, but I will certainly attempt to make an effort to pop in every now and again. I've missed it too much not to!

So, hello to old friends and hopefully hello to new ones, too! <3 It's good to be back!

Hi there! ;v;/

It's been a SUPER long time since we worked on this project, so we're gonna bring it back with a bang and invite people to come and watch us work! It's that simple. <3

THIRKU is a game much like FH that is currently in development by myself and a friend. We're not too far into its development so unfortunately I can't say for sure when it will be ready - but hopefully, if all goes well, it'll be ready within the next couple of years!

For more information about the game and what features it will have, come along to the livestream! I'm currently working on one of the models for it and am totally happy to answer questions. My mic is on too.

Thanks for reading!

Leaving / Temporary Leave
« on: September 10, 2014, 03:11:22 pm »
Hello ;v;/

I just wanted to let people know that I will be temporarily absent from the forums and will not be popping in-game for a while. I have a lot of things going on at the moment, more so than I can really handle on top of leisure time, so I'm going to take a break from things until life calms down again. University classes have started back up and we're into a hard semester already.

Just letting people know, as I said! I can still be reached via my Skype account ( attsoslittle ) if people would like to chat occasionally. I just won't be around on the forums much. Art is also taking a back seat in the meantime so you likely won't see any of my threads updated for a while.

Thank you! <3

Other Games / ArcheAge
« on: June 04, 2014, 01:33:26 am »
So, recently I managed to get myself into the alpha of this game, ArcheAge...

It's a fantasy MMORPG with a LOT of different features so far, including PIRACY. PIRATES!

... PIRATES!

While the game is still quite early on in its development, the Beta will be coming up in a month or so for those that are interested in signing up and giving it a go! Currently I'm playing in the Alpha server which I think is different, but I'll be sailing on the open seas as soon as I can.

I also plan on making a guild of frands for everyone that wants to join me in my misadventures (I've died so much already). If anyone manages to get in, give me a PM and I'd totally be up for playing with anyone!

If you're interested in having a closer look at the game itself and all its awesome features, check out the site here!

So yeah y'know if you're up for it, sign up to the site! It looks super fun already, with amazing roleplaying potential. I really hope this game takes off!

In-Game Roleplay & Group Advertisement / [Closed For Now!] Turaia
« on: April 22, 2014, 12:48:27 pm »
Turaia - a beautiful land filled with many creatures big and small. Among them, five packs live a blissful life, thriving on the bountiful plains and rocky mountains.

But paradise never lasts. Grassy plains turned to ice and snow, and food became scarcer with each passing day. The once clear, inviting waters turned to vicious cold, and the sun's rays have been absent for a year. The packs grow hungry, and what was once a peaceful alliance has turned into a tension akin to the eye of a stormy war.

Strange happenings are afoot, and death always lurks around every tree.

Hey guys! Attsos here.

So recently I've been developing a roleplay idea, complete with its own map pack (being made by yours truly) as well as a site.

The plotline I have for it in my head is very well-developed - it just hasn't been written down yet. I've been working on a site and map, though if I could get a map made for it so I could work on everything else, that would be better I think. Either way, I'm searching for a few people to help me make it happen.

I'm not active enough to be a leader for a pack, so I would just be a lone type of character that helps drives plot forward whenever I'm roleplaying, as well as helping manage the site etc. since I'm often around online, but not always able to be in-game.

The details of the roleplay are as follows:

  • Geared towards somewhat advanced to very advanced roleplayers, but paragraphs upon paragraphs are not necessary. Provided someone puts in plenty of effort in their roleplaying, I would let off grammar mistakes and spelling - medium-level roleplayers would be welcome based on that notion.
  • Primarily a wolf roleplay with five packs, which is why I'm searching for leaders. All leaders would be entirely responsible for their pack's wellbeing and I would not interfere with how they run it unless I have to.
  • The realism of the plot is pretty much fantasy (should you apply to be a pack leader I would explain this to any of you being considered), but characters in the five packs would be realistic.
  • Ranks in the packs would be mostly decided, but should you wish to change any or add any you would be able to request as such.

As for the packs themselves, here's a bit of information about each of them.

  • Achuak: The beach folk. They are fantastic swimmers and generally a bit clumsy out of the water. Since the sun disappeared and the water turned to ice, they have grown extremely thick coats and have evolved to have large, slightly webbed paws. They survive on sea creatures, primarily fish that have grown accustomed to the icy waters.
  • Charir: The cave-dwellers. They are tough, resilient canines with long claws for quick digging. Their claws have evolved to be strong enough to scratch at the ice covering the ground, and their ears are usually very large in order to hear small animals hiding underground better.
  • Ulhar: The mountain folk. Extremely sure-footed and calm individuals, their legs are short and strong, living comfortably at perilous heights. Their pawpads are as tough as the rocks they live on.
  • Yrev: The plains tribe. These canines are the lightest on their feet of all, and can run over snow as fast as the wind that sweeps it. They are particularly in-tune to the weather and can sense a storm coming from miles away. They burrow into the snow at night unless there is a storm, in which case they seek shelter in the small, unclaimed caves dotted around Turaia.
  • Aussir: The nomads. This pack has no one set home, and instead has a cycle of dens they move around every week. They consist of the smallest wolves of all the five packs, but are also the wisest. They keep in regular contact with one of the few (dubiously) accepted lone wolves in the land, a wise wolf who claims to be an oracle.
  • Vutha: This is a legendary pack in Turaia's history. Every pack tells their pups the story of the Vutha - a pack so strong, they were said to have powers beyond what any canine can imagine in the present age. The Vutha are a dead breed of canine... Or are they? (Currently only for plot purposes, the Vutha are not open for character applications)

Each pack will have its own territory (including Aussir) and their names are subject to change if a leader should desire it. Think of each pack as a people, rather than a pack. You're free to add your own rules to your pack as you see fit, but there will be set ranks and rules for each one otherwise. Everything is subject to change - if you want to change a rank's name or add a new one, you're free to.

All the packs will have more or less the same hierarchy, but not necessarily the same ranks. I will try to individualise each tribe. Leaders will be free to write up information for me to put on the site, or request something be changed. Other than what I've stated, it will absolutely be yours to care for. If you're not very active, I will find someone to replace you.

If you're interested in becoming a leader for it, there is a form below that you can use to apply for a position.

Quote
Name: Your character's name.
Gender: Males are more common than females.
Age: Wolves in Turaia tend to have a very short lifespan. 8 is considered extremely old, and 1 is considered old enough to no longer be dependant.
Appearance: A link to a screenshot/reference sheet is more than enough here, but if you'd rather put a description then that is also fine. Please make sure it's detailed if you do go for a description!
Personality: Doesn't need to be super detailed.
Likes:
Dislikes:
Fears:
Biography: This also doesn't need to be super detailed. Just points of interest in your character's history is fine.
Which Pack: The pack you would like to apply to be a leader for.
Roleplay Sample: Be honest! There's no point writing paragraphs upon paragraphs if that's not what you roleplay like all the time.

Simply fill it out and put it in a comment below. Don't note me it, a comment will suffice! :) I'll let you know if you have been accepted. Note that I may not decide straight away, as I would like to give everyone a fair chance.

This journal has been posted on my deviantART as well. You can view the journal here.

All leaders have been chosen! Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the Chirar leader has had to decline the leadership offer. If anybody would still like to become a leader, the Chirar will be open for applications for a little while longer. Thank you for your time!

Characters / Silme, Bringer of the Auroras
« on: March 07, 2014, 07:27:17 am »
Awwwwww yiss son. He gets his own page. Special snowflake. <3

C l i c k   M e !

[ [  S I L M E  ] ]
[ S o n   O f   N o v a ]  |  [ B r i n g e r   O f   T h e   A u r o r a s ]

[ M a l e ]  |  [ A g e l e s s ]  |  [ C a n i n e ]  |  [ D e m i - G o d ]

His tail is usually solid, but can change into a smoke-like aurora trail of these colours, similar in substance to his father, Nova's.

The thin, glowing arch represents Silme's life force. The brighter it shines, the stronger his life force. When injured, or if his powers are depleting due to overuse, it dims. It will crack and break upon losing his life. He is not immortal - he can be killed - but he cannot age. He attacks with his mind, being a very strong psychic. While not mute, he can also communicate this way, his voice being too otherworldly and dangerous for mortals to hear.

Silme's smoke-tail has healing properties. Whatever is engulfed in it will have their wounds close and they will heal from any illness within a week's time. He cannot save something from dying of old age, since that is the work of his uncle.

Silme once fell in love with a mortal wolf, but that's a story for another time.

Still a work in progress. I'll keep updating Silme's information as and when I can, as well as organising what I do have more efficiently... I'm seriously considering just keeping him as a fursona rather than a normal character. I've rarely loved any design as much as I love this Silme. <3

Other Games / Thirku - A CreativeMMORPG Project
« on: October 22, 2013, 10:33:33 pm »
Hello, everyone!

Back in April of this year, Mobius, Aegis/Velnoir, Jehuty1994 and myself founded what has come to be known as Bampot Studios. What's awesome about this is that we are now officially a small, indie game-developing band of misfits!

Yep, you heard right. We're making a game.

You've probably seen a lot of people who are developing games similar to FH and Impressive Title and even Impressive World servers and the like. You can add Thirku, our current CreativeMMORPG project, to that list - however, there are a few differences.

Firstly, Thirku is being made completely from scratch. All of the models will be made by yours truly, many of them will also be animated by myself. The maps will be made by myself, and most of the actual appearance of the GUI interface and the options will also likely be done by myself. All of the coding and programming will be done by Mobius, and some help in making the models and animating will be given in the form of my personal guardian angel (of wurst), Velnoir. Our friendly neighbourhood Member Co-ordinator Moderator Jehuty1994 will also be accepting Staff applications sometime down the line if the community for the game becomes bigger.

Secondly, Thirku will have many features that other games may not. Some of the features that will be in the Alpha release include:

o Four models: Wolf, Dog, Lion and Cat
o A huge, beautiful and seamless world for you to explore and roam at your discretion
o NPC characters
o Items
o Prey that you will be able to track and hunt in a realistic manner
o A day/night system
o Levels and stats
o Achievements
o Separate "Rooms" within the server: Mature and PG will be available!
o And hopefully much more!

We have a lot lined up for the game even after the initial Alpha release and intend to update it as often as we can manage. Quests, a PvP area mode and an in-game map maker unlike you've ever seen before will be included in the Beta release, just as an example!

Alpha release keys will be given out at random to members of the official Thirku forum. Every month, more users will be invited to join the game as Alpha (and eventually, Beta) testers, though at this point in time we are unsure as to how many per month will be given keys. There is also a suggestion system so that users can make their voice heard. The players of the game are its heart, and we are devoted to making a game that you guys, the players, can enjoy.

The game progress journal itself can be viewed within the Thirku forum. New members are of course completely welcome! We have a lot to offer with this game, and rest assured - we will see it through.

The ideas behind Thirku has already proven to flourish. We have so many ideas concerning the world of Thirku that we already have a singleplayer game lined up once a Beta version of the Multiplayer is released.

So come along and say hi in the Thirku forums! We're a friendly bunch, I promise. ;P

We're also currently holding a literature contest! Come join in the fun! <33

Thank you so much for reading! We hope you're just as excited as we are!

Praise / R.I.P Eel Eye, Dearest Friend
« on: October 20, 2013, 02:51:11 am »
I don't even really know where to start something like this, but I will try regardless.

A few days ago I discovered that one of my best friends had passed away. I don't know how well-known Eel Eye was around here, but I know that he had a few dear friends way back when he was an active member of the FeralHeart community. He loved this place dearly, as I did him. He was practically my family, both online and in real life.

Eli was a great friend, and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. He comforted me when I was down, cheered me up when I was feeling irate and was generally one of the best friends I have ever had. He was such a big silly, and I don't think I knew anyone who was as cheerful and optimistic as he was.

On the 6th of July, 2013, Eli committed suicide after his mother's passing sometime last year.

I am still in a deep mourning for my friend, as I have only just received the news due to complications at his home. I don't really know how I have the courage to keep typing all this, if I'm being completely honest with anyone reading as well as myself. All I know is that Eli had good friends within this community and I felt it was wrong to mourn him alone. I thought his friends - which is everyone here, as I know he considered this place as good as home - deserved to know.

Wherever he is now, I just hope he has found peace at last. I love you, I miss you, my dear friend.
