Okay, I think we can all agree. This game has painfully small textures. Although the actual size of the textures, 512x, is reasonably large, the amount of space such tiny textures are spread over is ridiculous. In the screenshots below, I replaced the 512x textures with 2048x textures. Which means that the games uses up much more memory, in the end, but, well, see for yourself.
Tell me, my furry friends, is it worth re texturing all the terrains for this much of a difference? If I try to make the textures any higher res than this, the game runs out of memory and crashes. How sad is that. But is it worth it? I'll release it, of course.
