-Goes into a portal but won't let me in- Losing Characters! (Problem solved)

So whenever I go into a portal sometimes it randomly won't let me in. Any way to get my lost characters back without having to wait until I get in or recreating the character?

Would this be a public map or a downloaded map, also what is the message you get when you try entering a portal?

Usually it happens on downloaded maps; usually I can enter the map then the next day I can't and can never seem to get on. (For in-game maps it always happens when I try to get on Fluorite... derp)

Well when you are entering FeralCity it says bad token at least once but then you try again and it will work.
Same goes for fluorite and temple of dreams
