IT Maps Query *cringes in fear*
« on: March 14, 2011, 11:12:17 pm »
Can you access maps from IT offline?
Now that FH up and IT is down.
I still have all the IT files intact and waiting....all the maps, everything, But can I access those offline?

And also, if not, would I bet able to transfer IT maps to FH?
If so, does anyone know how?

Yes, if you make a campaign to play in, you can play in the maps offline.

And, with proper coding, you can transfer the maps :D Also remember to give credit to the original creator(s) of the map if you distribute the map for download.

Lol, the coding isn't complex. Actually, there is very little. ACTUALLY, now that I just revisited map maker (It's been a while, sorry xD) you don't need any coding at all; map maker does it for you. You'll just have to drag the height map into the terrains folder and make your own mask (if you'd like), plug them into map maker, and recreate it to your delight.

EDIT: Gave it a go. Erm, I know you can convert a few files to DEP_MAP and FHZ...
I'm trying to do ShadowVelt, but the terrain isn't loading in MapMaker. Does that matter? Cause I need to make a portal etc.
If anyone else can help out as well, I would be greatful :D

Awsome :3 Well, I'll give it a go :3
As for the campains....I take it they are way more complicated?

Campaigns aren't that complicated. As long you don't want to create a whole story like halfblood.
When i got IT, it was already shut down, and the first thing I did was teaching myself how to create presets and campaigns.
