« on: July 13, 2013, 03:22:05 am »
No, I won't be leaving forever, just for two long, FH-less weeks  :'( I'm not sure yet whether I'll be on the forums or not though. Basically, last year my teachers elected me to win a 500$ scholarship to a Science Summer camp, and this is the summer it was scheduled for  ::) To all my groups and RP buddehs, very sorry v.v So yup, I'ma be gone for a while, but don't dance on my grave yet, my time on FH still has many more years to live ;)

Stories / My Life of Lies [Chapters(WIP): 1]

My Life of Lies
Chapter One: The Starting Line

You may think you know my story, but I can assure you, that you're wrong. My name is Bellator, and I live in a world of lies. This is my story, my pain, my heartbreak, my love and my loss. So go ahead, read through my history, laugh at my faults, cringe at my hurts, and dance to the beat of my drum for a while.

Gently pulling the wet bundles towards her, Sanja rasped her pink toungue over each cub, moving to the next only when she heard their breathing ease with the new warmth. Everything was perfect, four cubs, three of them black and one spotted and brown. Filled with love for her new family, a deep, throaty purr arose in her voice as she murrmered soft nonsense to the small, squishy bodies and began to name each one in turn. "You, my little rascal," she laughed softly, turning a small, black male cub towards her, "Shall be called...Noctis, in honor of your dark pelt." Sanja whispered his name to the small cub again, nuzzling him. Noctis batted at her nose, snuffling pitifully, until at last Sanja gave in and nudged him towards her stomach, where he quickly began kneading her belly fur and suckling to his heart's content. Sanja laughed softly to herself, turning her attention back to the pile of fur still waiting to recive their names. Pawing a second cub away from the others, also male, she nudged him between her front paws and coddled him with her head. Rubbing her face in his velvety fur, a name struck her, "I name you Lepus, for your rabbit-soft pelt. Someday you will be as fast as your namesake." She set him next to his brother, who by now was fully engulfed in his feeding.
"Both lovely names, as all of your creations are wonderful," Sanja's mate, Kohl, who had been silently watching up to this point, murmmered to her.
"Kohl," Sanja purred, twisting her head to see him, "Would you name our daugters?" Nudging the two female cubs, who had fallen asleep, she pushed them closer to her mate. Mewling in protest, the cubs tumbled into their father's paws, causing him to laugh at their innocence.
"You," he said, brining his toungue over the ears of the speckled cub, "Shall be named Venator, and one day you will be the greatest hunter on the reserve." Gently picking her up, he moved the cub back to her mother's side, where she joined her brothers. Moving back to the last black cub, he knelt down to nuzzle her tiny cheek when all of a sudden, the tiny cub stretched out a paw and batted his nose away. While the cub rolled over, mewling franticly, Kohl jumped back in suprise, unable to stop himself. Stunned from the backwards-fall, he breathed heavily, trying to comprehend what had happened. Meanwhile, Sanja had righted the cub and was now laughing histerically, but eventually quieted down to a soft chuckle so the cubs wouldn't be disturbed. Heaving himself out of the dirt, Kohl shook out his pelt, a laughing purr threading through his voice, "My what a little fighter you are already! That's what I'll call you, Bellator, my little warrior." Gently picking up the last cub, he placed her down beside her siblings, and settled himself next to his mate.
"I don't think that little Bellator will ever suprise you like that again," she teased, licking Kohl's muzzle.
"She won't need to," he replied, purring under Sanja's touch, "The next time she suprises me, it'll be with food!"
"I was so worried," Sanja whispered, her joyful voice becoming saddened, "I thought for sure one of them would be different, deformed in some way, since our pairing is not...usual, for our species."
Kohl sighed, he knew Sanja wouldn't finish the day without bringing up their unusual bond.
"Not one of them has a flaw, there's no need to be worried anymore," he assured her, swiping his toungue over her ears. The first seeds of lies were sown, and in time, would grow bigger and more complicated than they should have been allowed to grow.

Species / .-*-.The Vulpex.-*-.
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:58:56 pm »
The Vulpex are uncommon, and are quite a spectacle when one is spotted. They are trained predators, and can track a fly through the rain if need be. The female's enhanced senses are different from the males:
Female: Scent, sight, and thought
Male: Touch, hearing, and taste

The females are the hunters and clever minds behind the rare occurrence of a Vulpack, or Vulpex pack. In this species, packs are rarely formed. The Vulpex don't feel the need for bonds with others of their kind, or any other kind at all. When a pack is formed, it is ruled by the females and often  contains no males at all. The reason for this is that the species is separated, with the males living in one corner of FeralHeart, and the females in another.

Appearance and Build:

The Vulpex are similar to felines, despite sometimes living in a pack. On each paw they have five raptor-like claws, and only the front claws are retractable. Depending on where they live and their gender, they can grow extremely thick coats, which quickly become matted and are near impossible to penetrate with normal claws or teeth. Other Vulpex are able to easily slash through this coat with their talons, though it is often just to shear and not harm the Vulpex. The males are very bulky, and the females are lean and thin. Vulpex do not often have many markings, and are usually brown, black, gray or tan colored. Their eyes are usually shades of yellow or dark green, but can be entirely black as well. Their teeth are actually barbed, and point backwards slightly, enabling them to bite once and not loose their grip. Their tails are long at birth, but some will actually have their tails cut off so that it won't get in the way of hunting or running.

Habitat:

Males usually live in Southpole, growing extremely long coats and shearing them in summer, when they migrate to Atlantis. One male will usually have it's own territory, though no one knows what they use it for since they steal prey from other hunters. They are very aggressive to anyone and anything that enters their range, even female Vulpex, making it extremely rare for young Vulpex to be born.

Females live alone or in small groups of 2-3, and on rare occasion can be seen as a whole pack. The females do not grow thick coats, and are extremely light on their feet because of this. Normally living in Fluorite Plains or Cape of Distant Worlds, they can and often do practice jumping into small trees. The females often all know each other, and love to race each other. The females do hunt for themselves, though it is not much of a chore due to their incredible speed. They cannot however, fight as strongly as a male Vulpex, and need to take several minutes to kill anything. The females often have Saber-like teeth.

Prey:

The normal prey of Vulpex does not change really, and males will eat just about anything they find dead. Here's what's normally on the menu:
-caribou
-deer
-rabbits
-domestic cats
-domestic dogs
-small wolves
-small lions
-any type of egg(dragon, bird, fish, etc.)
-low-flying birds(low flying is anything below 20meters)
-fish
-the occasional alligator
-bears

Females often hunt more than once a day, since so much energy is expended on running.

Want To Make A Vulpex?

-Brown, black, gray or tan pelt
-Yellow, green or black eyes
-Males are extremely heavy
-Both genders have elbow & rump tufts/full tuft for thick pelted males
-Males often have manes
-Females are extremely thin
-Both genders can have rounded or bob tails
-Subtle markings only, if any

~Welp, there's my first species ;) ~

Poems / Warrior's Poems [1]
« on: June 29, 2013, 02:05:39 am »
Into the night our voices sound,
Our howl echoes across the ground.
Above the earth the heavens weep,
On hearing our song the voices they keep.
The song of our hearts forever shall last,
Until the day of death is past.

Our roars cannot be set in stone,
But they will always lead us home.
As long as we all roar as one,
I promise you, all will be done.
A roar of truth shall change the mind,
Of even those who deny our kind.

We are wild, we are free,
We are who we want to be.
Those who howl and those who roar,
They have no differences anymore.
For there is one place that I know,
Where both species love to go.
And while it's not much of a name,
I will say, it's a feral game.

Eh, there's my cheesey poem x3 Might add another later, but for now, enjoy ^^

Species / The Lind and the Larg
« on: June 28, 2013, 01:32:00 am »
These species were not made up by me, but they are from a book series I am quite fond of that isn't very popular in the FH community. I had hoped to make an official RP group for the species...but then I advertised and couldn't find anyone who knew about them at all! So here it is, the species description of these wonderful wolfies from the series Planet Wolf

The Lind:

The Lind are swift, lean, beautiful wolf-like denizens, with the ability to communicate through mind links with others of their kind. They can speak rough english, but cannot improve their knowledge without being taught by a human. They are fluent in Lindish, their species's language, and prefer to speak it out loud but on occasion they will mind-link with another close by. Their mind speaking does take energy, and the farther the distance between the Lind in contact, the more energy it takes. The longest connection in the history of the Lind was across an ocean, one on each of Rybak's(The Lind's home planet) two continents. The Lind in contact however were rendered unconscious for the next day.  A little known secret is that the Lind are able to bend the thoughts of other creatures, and in doing so are able to affect their actions. They never use this on prey though, out of respect for a fair hunt. They have an extremely useful pace that can eat up the miles and be sustained for long periods of time. Being peaceful creatures, they do not believe in the needless slaying of any animal, or in Lindish, volat.

The Lai are mystical beings of Lind Folklore, clad in golden armor and breathing great jets of fire into the sky as they fly. According to legend, the Lai taught the Lind the gift of language when they first arrived on the planet.

The Lind are wolf-like, but are about the size of an adult racehorse. They have bluish gray fur, which is streaked with colored stripes. The color of the stripe defines the Lind's pack, or rtath(Lindish for pack), and can be any color in the rainbow including brown and black. After multiple generations of interbreeding however, a Lind's color may be mixed with another as well, and on rare occasions may become rainbow-like. The Lind live as long as a normal human, dying around 80-90 if not killed before then. As they age, their pelt gradually fades away to white. The whitest Lind are often leaders, called Elda. A Lind's greatest defense is retractable claws called Chelas, which are practically super-sized cat claws.

The ranks for a Lindish battle squadron are many, but here's the basic format, with the highest rank to the lowest:

Susyc-1
SIC(second in command)-1
Lindar-~
Ryzka-3(per Lindar)
Ryz-3(per Ryzka)

There are several more, but I'll not try and confuse you further.

The Larg:
In the history of the Lind, when there was only one continent on Rybak, there was no such thing as a Larg. All were Lind, and lived happily in peace. Then a tragic earthquake separated the continent, dividing half the Lind from the others. The second continent became desert-like, and the Lind there quickly grew to be...different. Their hearts turned bitter with anger for the Northern Lind, since they had forests and plenty of prey to hunt. The Southern Lind cut off all mind links with their Norther brothers, and renamed themselves Larg. Their pelts lost their sheen, turning to a dusty brown color to match the desert sands. Their hatred grew and grew, and eventually they attacked the other continent using a series of Islands to cross the ocean.

Larg are dirty brown or tan colored, and have no stripes. They can only do very basic mind speaking, and are always lusting for a fight. It is tradition, in fact, for young Larg to go off to battle the Lind and prove themselves. They would rather die than surrender, and often do. With the Larg, honor is everything, and retreating from a battle is the most dishonoring thing a Larg can do. Only males fight for the Larg, and the majority of them never return. Their favorite pastime is killing, and their favorite way to kill is by pulling their victim in all directions, splitting them apart. The Larg are slightly bigger than Lind and also possess Chelas.

Once again, complicated ranks that I will only show part of:

Largan-1
Kohortagan-~
Kohort-1(per Kohortagan)
Kranj-100(give or take)

Well that's the two species! Perhaps I'll post a Lindish guide later, but I don't feel like doing it now so...enjoy!
