Gaining control of another character glitch

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but..
Recently i logged in to the game, pick a character then enter the game successfully, but rather than controlling my character, i gained control of another player's character, i can jump, run, walk, stalk etc.. except talking.
So seconds later after being the other player's character, i re-logged in, enter the game then my character spawns at the same spot where the other player's character is.

So, have anyone experienced this before?

I wonder how this glitch works, it's pretty bizarre, can someone explain? (Sorry if i have grammatical mistakes, English is my second language  )

I experienced this quite a few weeks back actually. But it just appears to be another common glitch, it happens to quite a lot of people. But it's nothing serious to worry about, it's most likely that the server is being a little bit of a derp.

Luckily you or they can't access your characters and account. The only thing you or they can do is do an action of some sort whilst they too are controlling their character. As far as I'm aware other people cannot see what you are doing on their character.

I see, i can imagine if you can gain complete control over their character and other people can see what you're doing, who knows what the person might do.

This happened to me about a month ago, when i logged on after a bit of not being on, i glitched into my friend character after i logged in sucessfuly and gained control over his character. Although he couldnt see what i was doing his game glitched up and crashed. xD

I must admit I have never experienced this before, but I must say even though it sounds like it could be a scary experience for another player it also sounds kind of fun, and a bit funny. ^^

Know that Last Cave glitch? I actually managed to control other people's characters! Don't go to Last Cave or you'll be possessed! WAHAHAH-- nvm, apparently other people don't see that I am controlling them
