This black lioness thing named "phantom" whispered me and said "I will get your blood." That creeped me out a little. I continued RPing, and I suddenly saw Phantom behind me! That terrified me. Phantom opened his/hers mouth and slowly crept more near me. Then more near.. Until she stuck her face in my back (LOL). Then he/she said "I got you."
Then she got gross. She "sucked out my guts." At that point I threatened to block Phantom. Then she/he stopped.

oh gosh

Oh man, I saw her. Creeped me out at first but it turned out she was just an extreme powerplayer, probably new or young. She did try and brutally murder me in RP, though.

My creepiest experience had to be when I joined a demon roleplay. I was sitting on a rock in the plains with the rest of the group helping to advertise, then suddenly I noticed my character's face had turned pitch black like its texture was gone. I wrote it off as a trick of the light because he was a pretty dark feline (although he wasn't black). Then the rest of him turned black. I thought hey, whatever just a glitch. And then all of the plains turned black.

The textures for the grass were just gone, leaving the ground completely dark. My first thought was 'crap, real demons.'

Yeah, logging in and out fixed it.

Game Discussion / Re: How do you make your characters?
« on: July 04, 2015, 09:16:56 pm »
I tend to make characters at random, although I usually delete those ones after about an hour. The characters who I do keep come from an idea or concept I wanted to create - be it a cyborg dog or a specific coloration of a breed I wanted to replicate.

What it really comes down to for me is the character, not the design. Sometimes I use random generators to get some basic character traits and work with those, but I usually have a concept in mind already.

I try and replicate dog breeds a lot, although I end up making a preset in the end like 90% of the time because the markings aren't juuuust perfect.

My main characters would be:
Bartholomew, who's scared, nervous, and antisocial, and for some reason really angry,
Lucifer, who's a politician and a manipulator,
Maggie, who's a trickster,
Jibril, who's kind but refuses to get off their high horse,
Slugwhisker, who's a grouchy old man cat

Those would be the personalities I use the most, everyone else seems to be a repeat with a few tweaks, aside from one or two unique characters. I'm kinda horrible at thinking of new personalities (that I enjoy playing, I can think of them but they bore me)

'cause someone had to do it.
Inspired by Dr.Twisted's wonderful guide to demons, I've noticed that the other side of the spectrum has quite a few problems as well, and being the angelology nerd I am, decided to make a guide.
Before starting, I'm going to leave a disclamer:
This is a guide for Abarhamic angels.
Anything else is fair game, (fandom, other religions, ext.) This isn't for them.
(Abarhamic religions are Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. They'll all be considered equily accurate for this guide.)

Names

So, first off, we're going to take a look at the typical Feral Heart angel.

Yeah.
Making this character nearly killed me.

So, the most glaring problems here:
1. The name. We'll go into 'proper' angel names later, but for the love of well, angels, why are they all named Sky? Other common names include Skye, Cristal, Blu, and Jewel. None of these are anything close to what angels are traditionaly named. And it's never capitolized.

2. Feral Heart will have you belive all angels are female.
I can't even begin to go into how wrong this is. If anything, they're mostly or all male, or more likely genderless. Occurances of 'female' angels are noteworthy and tend to be singled out in historical texts, so we can assume they're quite rare if they exist at all. This is also consistant with Medival socity's (where most texts on angels come from) veiws on women, so it makes sense that there'd be less of them because of historical sexism.

3. Angel is always spelt angle. Always.

4. Bat wings. For some reason, most angels I see have bat wings. Now, this isn't nessisarily wrong, as no one really knows what angels looks like (certinly not what we usually think, they are not models nor babies) and I can understand doing it for the purpose of individuality, but it just doesn't really make sense. Unless you've got a fallen angel (which are something we'll get into later), there's a pretty good chance you should go with feather wings.

5. White body, cyan Celtic markings. This isn't bad in itself, but there are more colors you could go with. Honestly, if we look at some art of Islamic angels that I grabbed from wikipedia:

They're fairly rainbow-y, actually. So go ahead and vary your colors. It's also worth considering if this is a dog-or-wolf angel or a humanoid angel made on the dog model. For the purpose of this tutorial, we'll be asumming the former.

6. Bright blue eyes and bright pink noses. This isn't so much something to do with angels as it is an overused design in general, and honestly, it just looks noob-ish. I'd stay away from that, unless it really, really works woth your color scheme.

7. Eyecover manes. Again, not really a problem as so much just overused. I've actually never seen an angel (aside from my own) with something else.

So, if you're thinking "then what do they look like?" read on!

Section Two: Apperance
So, before I go into this, it's worth noting that angels' apperances vary heavily, especially accourding to their rank or position.
Take a look at these:

Yes, that last one is one angel.
So, they can look really, really weird, basically.

Because of this, there's no one way to make an angel. But some common themes are that:

1. They're people with wings
2. They're anything but people with wings
3. They're very colorless
4. They're very colorful

See what I'm getting at, here? There's no right or wrong way to make an angel, but please, please don't do the white and cyan thing.

Oh, and mass markings and object packs are your friends. Just make sure you stick to things that would be applicable to their rank.

Forum Discussion / Re: Preset Rant
« on: June 07, 2015, 10:05:16 pm »
I do this. All my used-more-than-once characters have presets, even if I could easily make them with markings. I simply prefer to have them be one-of-a-kind. I make my own presets for the most part, though, so it's not like I get anyone else to do them.

Forum Discussion / Re: Is FeralHeart your Secret?

Do you keep your FeralHeart business a secret from friends in real life?

Would you respond if someone called you by your fursona's name in real life?

Friends? Well, yeah. I used to have a few freinds that'd all play games like this togeathor, but that was around 5 years ago so no. Although I do play with my sister, so at the same time I don't? Most of my friends have seen my characters, though, because I mean you can only draw them so many times before somone looks at your submissions for art class.

And I don't have one, but if someone refered to me as one of my RP characters I'd be kind of disturbed and ask them where they got the name, but yeah, I used to do the warrior cat name things with my freinds as a kid too, so it wouldn't be the first time.

Forum Discussion / Re: Favorite Type Of Roleplay?
« on: June 07, 2015, 09:41:13 pm »
I like to stick to animals, not necessary wolves and lions but just ones that the models lend themselves to. Human roleplays are kind of weird for FH if you ask me, I do roleplay them but just not here.

As for length, I like to keep it to one or two boxes, any more and it gets stupid because everyone is waiting for you to finish. Although I have to say I love "all levels" roleplays where you just do what you want and eveyone just goes with it.

script style: another term for ilit, considered more polite
paragraph style: another term for lit

that's all I've got, but I figured these were important enough to point out
