I just downloaded the game yesterday with an interest in potential RP. I logged on once and it seemed kind of disorderly and crazy. I've still got a lot of tinkering to do, but I was hoping I could join--or at least be notified of--a RP group, or where I could find some RP spots. I won't be too picky being new, but I DO prefer more mature players!

Ah, first: Welcome! :)
I didn't find a fitting RP yet, too. Well, I didn't search active yet, though...
But you can find ingame RP groups at the RP forum (by the side of forum RPs. Maybe ingame and forum RPs should get their own boards...).
What are you looking for exactly?

EDIT: Actually, RP groups have their own board.  :-X

welcome to feral hearts. if you join the game you can make your own rp group or make a shout out to one that you might like and i also hope to see you in both the forum and in game sometime
