//JeriJ's Poems\\ WARNING: Some may make you cry.

I want to make this clear, most of this I found on the internet and fell in love with them. I do not claim them as my own work, thanks you!

Wolf Poems

Wolf Pack
By Yvette Yvonne - 1998

Darkness breaks,
Moon awakes,
Night now brings the stars it makes.

Moon beams fall,
Light up all,
From silvery woods there comes a call.

Grayish blur,
Shaggy fur,
Food is this night creatures lure.

Brown deer,
Very near,
It is brought down full of fear.

Deadly bite,
Very tight,
Every wolf will feast tonight.

The Gray Wolf
By Stacy Smith - 1998

Gray wolves are such beautiful creatures and are so misunderstood.
So many people hate them and would kill them if they could.

They are actually afraid of people and just want to be left alone.
They are presently endangered species and their future is unknown.

Most of the animals they hunt are injured or weak.
Deer and elk are what many of them seek.

Sometimes they howl to locate their pack.
They find each other when another howls back.

Their fur can make them withstand the harshest of weather.
They do not like to live alone and tend to stay together.

They try to avoid humans as much as they possibly can.
They mean no harm and are endangered because of man.

They live in the wild and they deserve to run free.
People need to understand them better and just let them be.

Pet Poems

Rainbow Bridge
Author Unknown
((I wont lie, this one made me get teary eyed))

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

A Dog's Prayer
Beth Norman Harris
Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.

Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.

Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.

When it is cold and wet, please take me inside... for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements... and I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth... though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land... for you are my god... and I am your devoted worshiper.

Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life, should your life be in danger.

And, beloved master, should the Great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest...and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.

I'm Still Here
Aurthor Unknown
Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!

Well, that's all for now...Hope you like!

The Rainbow Bridge reminded me so much of my lost dog, Shadow. That one made me tear up.

They were beautiful, but sad at the same time. "The Rainbow Bridge" reminded me of my pet bunny.

I know this isn't my post, but a recommendation by me and my tiger thoughts. I found a poem called "Tyger, Tyger, Burning Bright" by some guy named William Blake (I don't know who he is, but I know he wrote this poem). And yes, he spells tiger wrong. I dunno why. Anyway, it's an interesting poem too, if you were looking for poems.

I stopped at Rainbow Bridge, it reminds me of my dog Lola who died the day I got her ;_; BWAAAAAAHAAAHAAAAAAA DX
Put a gun to my head, pull the trigger. And you die, because I'm death.
