I wrote this poem for a challenge, and I was curious to what you all thought!

The One At Fault

You were the one.
The one from my dreams
The one who I didn't think existed
The one who was supposed to carry me off on a white horse

But now your the one whose rejected me.
crushed my soul a thousand times
lifted my up only to throw me back down
and as I writhe on the ground
you offer me a hand
and push me down as I try to stand

And all the while
and all throughout these teases and taunts
and all throughout this swirl of pain and passion
you've never spoken a word to me

But their is guilt among the pain and the passion
and it eats at me
me and my blind anger
after all
your unawares to my cowardly love
must be the one at fault

Foolish

This is a message
to someone I like.
I don't dare say love.
Because how can I love you
when, after all this,
I still barely know you?

But I am not a fool;
Fools throw "love" around lightly,
Fools believe in love at first sight,
Fools believe that all love is just "meant to be".
....
Maybe I am a fool.

Is it foolish to wish you were here,
and not so many miles away?
Is it foolish to wish that you'd love me,
and love me alone?
Is to foolish that I miss you,
you and your spirited laughter?

So my tears may fill me

I want to laugh
but I feel the need
a subtle urge
to cry

Let me cry
until my salty tears
fill the empty space inside me

Let me fill the empty space
where something once was
but i could not tell you what

I have been overwhelmed

It only took one mistake, it wasn't even my own
And it turned the clouds into storm and my love into fear
And somehow out i am left alone even though I am surrendered by my peers
And with a rush and a whirl the bright days turned to sleepless nights
And now reality's bite sinks in deeper than it ever should
And it made the optimist into pessimist

I sit crying because i had so foolishly forgotten what it's like
to be alone  
to not care
to not believe  

All of this over a problem the size of a flea
But we all know that fleas are an infestation and a pest on to be rid of
Alone they may be small but together they overwhelm



I have been overwhelmed.

I'm honestly speechless. I can see the emotions of this poem. It really speaks to me. I really love it. I love the emotion and the reasoning and just oh my goodness it's beautiful. I hope I can see some more poems from you! This is just beautiful. Good luck in the challenge!
