Hey there!

I wanted to start off by saying, these maps will all be 100% public once complete! It will probably take me a few months to accomplish fully, but once one map is complete, it will be added on to the whole pack itself!

Now, I've been off FH for a little bit. Whenever I'm off for a while I feel this intense need and desire to make a new map. Considering doing something completely custom was proving difficult, I decided to try my hand at the lake territories. Upon starting it, though, I realized I have never really seen many maps that fit my own personal view on what I imagined the territories to be like in my head. Of course, this is no offense to anyone who has made them! I just have a particular way I view things, as I'm sure everyone else does too. uwu Not to mention, I will also be adding on some extra landmarks to the territories, to make them more lively and not as bland as they are printed in the books. WindClan gets a clover field, RiverClan gets more marshes, ShadowClan will get a great willow tree, ThunderClan gets a little clearing, and there will even be a type of Sunningrocks thing going on between ShadowClan and ThunderClan!

But this project is going to be something HUGE. And by huge, I mean there will be a total of 10 public maps available once it's fully completed! What does this mean? It means I will be creating the lake territories and the forest territories, both with all four seasons available to the public.

The last two? They will be extras--the forest territory and the lake territory, but with SkyClan! I do plan on making the rest of the seasons for those two extra maps, but they will be kept private, ehehe.

The first map to be completed will be the lake in greenleaf. Here are some screenshots!

Game Help / Invalid Map Name Error.
« on: February 16, 2018, 02:12:42 pm »
I've looked at other posts, and it hasn't given me any good answers.

The terrain and mask files do not have spaces in them, they're working fine and are .png, and no matter what I do for the map name it just won't save. I even put in simply untitled for both the map name and the display name, no spaces in either, and it won't save it. I'm not sure how to fix this.

Request/Find Meshes / Firefly Particles?
« on: August 01, 2017, 12:20:32 am »
I've been searching around for a firefly particle that I once had; it was in a pack, where there were several different ones in which they floated around in different directions. I can't recall who made them, as I had them a longgg time ago.

I understand why we have it. I know why the mods and admins do not want it removed (though I feel it should be at this point, the hack was in 2015, it's been a long time since.)
What I don't understand is the random pages opening when I click login. Very virus-y looking webpages, some with popups that I cannot click out of unless I completely close my browser through task manager. My computer doesn't have a virus or any malware, and I'd like to keep it that way; I've heard from someone that these pages popping up means the "protection/page is working" but I really doubt it. Again, just a rumor, and even with hearing it I still am lost as to why this happens. A friend of mine who even got FH recently hasn't wanted to get back on due to the popup webpages, since she thinks it will harm her computer, and I really don't blame her.

Now, yes; I do close these tabs before they get a chance to load, most of the time. Again, a few times when I didn't do it in time, I had to close out my browser and I had a hard time doing so.

Does anybody else have this problem, or even know why it happens?

I've begun progress on another public map! This will be the most detailed and "up to date" one I've created yet, and I'm eager to finish and get this out for people to download!
This could very well also be used for pack roleplay, but it is recommended for warrior cats due to the dens and four territories.

For the sake of keeping track and logging things, the territories will have named Clans. They do not have to remain the same after being published!

Screenshots!

The Gathering Falls--where the Clans meet every full moon. This area includes the sounds of a waterfall as well as particles.

SwampClan

One island in the territory, rogue den shown.

Falls, including a rogue den.

Entry of rogue den.

Interior.

Another, smaller island in the territory.

This is still highly a work in progress, as only one area is complete while the only other two shown are in early stages. I'll update the thread with more screenshots as I go! I'll also get a guide up once things are more set in stone <3

Finished Maps / Forsaken Lore (Human/Anthro Themed Map!)
« on: February 23, 2017, 12:57:12 pm »
So!
This has been a map I've been rather proud of for some time. This was made back in March/April of 2016 for the sake of an rp that a dear friend of mine had pulled together, called Forsaken Lore. (http://forsakenlore.boards.net/ was our website, design and art (c) Yodeling Lions of deviantArt/Juxtaposed of FeralHeart) This roleplay, sadly, did not last for long. However, I felt that as the download is still available and it's my work, I can make it open to the public for exploration and potential roleplay! There are many screenshots to show, so be prepared!
This map has a very medieval type of theme to it, what with the music and the whole fantasy element. It is recommended for human and anthro themed roleplays to take place, but there is no limit to what you do here! Roleplay what you want, where you want to! It is open for all uses! The download can be found below!

Forsaken Lore (Main Map)

The main attraction! Where all the action takes place, where it all goes down and the heart of it all lies.

This is where you enter. Below the falls of the town, where the statue of a howling wolf sits tall.

You've climbed the vast hills, and are now above the site of the falls! Before you lies the town, across a steep drop in which you must go around.

The town! You've crossed the stone bridge successfully and are now inside the high walls of the well-protected town. You're in luck, too, it always looks its best at night!

The town seems pretty big. Can you navigate it?

There's so much to explore! But that's good, it means plenty of room for everyone!

One of the many areas of the town. This is part of the square, where the local fountain sits. Fireflies dance around it, while plants grow lusciously around its edges.

It's a rather large, but bountiful fountain. It's a welcoming piece of the town.

What's this? A temple? And in the background, a rundown old home??

Inside the temple is very... eerie. But warm. It holds an ancient aura to it, all while being welcoming and a well-respected piece of town.

Here lies those we loved and lost. A graveyard for those who have passed on, but are never forgotten.

OMG! You can walk through the doors!

Beds? Wonderful and warm!

Stray cats wander the streets, but they're so lovable!

Sheep too???

Here is the main home! Surely the ruler of the town would reside here, in the furthest reaches?

Of course! In their very own room, lies the portal to the Forsaken Maze... Linked to Frozen Lore. Which way will you go? Frozen Lore first, or the Maze?

What's this? The magical forest? It's deep within the forest of Forsaken Lore, glowing bright at all hours of the day. It's most magnificent at night.

Giant plants!!!

Almost everything glows! The crystals, and plants!

In the center lies the sacred tree--the tallest one in the forest, and the most pure.

View of the forest from the bridge... but wait, this isn't the stone bridge. Where's this go?

The path to Frozen Lore lies ahead! Beware entering, as there are many more trials than just the constant frozen winds....

Frozen Lore

Bones??

A body!

The way out, back home! But, only in the forest.

Getting farther from the forest back home...

Watch out for the steep crevices! You can get stuck!

Always such a dark sky, and strange lighting...

The maze?

Forsaken Maze

Only the bravest cross through here!

Or if you just... have good memory?

And a deep love for mazes....

SOME NOTES
* It IS going to be laggy for regular working computers! It can be tolerable with turning off water reflection and turning view distance to 0. Otherwise, perhaps removing OlliesParticles.fho could help some. It will take away the "pretty" aspect of some places, but if it helps it helps. You will also get bad tokens!
* The forest DOES HAVE FLAWS. MANY FLAWS. I know this. I didn't bother to root a lot of trees into the ground so they float some, and it's pretty barren--all for the magical part of the forest and the town. Those are the main points of the map and have a lot of lag on their own, so I kept the forest to a minimum. Not to mention I would imagine a lot of rp takes place in the town and in the magical part of the forest, so???
* No, I cannot make this private. I deleted the folders from my FeralHeart a while back, and so I cannot edit it. It is how it is. Maybe someday I'll remake it, but today is not that day.
* I made the maps! Height maps and mask as well! (except for the maze, it was found online)
* The Frozen Lore and Forsaken Maze maps were used for the sake of plot and character development. In the roleplay that we had for this, the maze was used as a way for two partners (a human and their animal/anthro partner who were soul bound) to prove their worth as soldiers. They were given three days to escape the maze (by choice of the players! They could either try the maze and fail for character development, or e spam + prnt sc through the whole thing to make it), as well as Frozen Lore. After the complications of the maze, they must bear the cold, harsh winds of Frozen Lore, and avoid the possessed, evil spirits that lurk there and kill many who traipse into their land. After escaping into the forest of their home, they must hike to the town and tell of how they made it out. Judging on how well they did with certain weapons and strategies they would be placed in certain parts of the military. Other than these reasons, those two maps don't have much purpose, unless you find your own!

Site/Forum Help / Friend Can't Log In
« on: December 19, 2016, 05:19:25 am »
So my friend is trying to play FH. The password is correct, username put in right. But when they try to log in through the login page http://feral-heart.com/login/index.php the page merely blinks and does not log him in. And, trying to log into the forum part of the site, it claims the password is wrong. But yet he could log into the main part of the site and download the game.

Explain/help?

Game Suggestions & Ideas / For future updates..
« on: December 05, 2016, 05:29:40 pm »
I know that the staff team here for Feral Heart tries its best to give others credit for things they do and use, and that's phenomenal. But I do think more should be done, other than the maps, y'know?

Personally, I'd love to see the marking and item packs included in the installer. Of course, asking permission from creators of said packs, and ensuring they know it will remain in the installer. A lot of new people don't know where to find these packs, or even have the RIGHT packs, so they see some people wrongly. Not to mention, this could be greatly beneficial to people who have had to uninstall/reinstall their game and have lost all those files. Makes it so much easier to get everything back and not have to worry as much as opposed to losing everything.

What I've been thinking of was the Legendary items and markings, since they include pretty much all other packs prior to being released, and the canine tail for felines mod. I understand that the labels in-game sometimes cannot be changed, and that's understandable, what with the lack of a sourcecode. BUT to include it and replace files would benefit.

For example, the feline and canine animations were replaced so that the buttswing was no longer in use, and in turn replaced with the moonwalk. Considering that was done, could we not have the model in place for the feline tail? There is the Lynx tail and Tailless, which are both literally the same thing for the feline. Both stubs. The canine tail for felines mod makes it so that the Tailless is a fluffier looking tail, for long-furred feline characters.

To include the mod, items, and markings for future updates, of course problems have to be considered, and the creators of said things that could be included must understand (for as long as they AGREE to the use of their creations)
- The packs will remain in the game itself, no longer a need to get them from other sources
- Future updates of said packs could not be included in the game, so you would have to search for the updated folders (don't we do that anyway?)
- Larger installer file

I know this can be done, considering something as huge as MAPS were changed entirely. This inclusion would make things easier on everybody, especially with the canine tail for felines--I know some people use it, and a lot want to, but tend to not because it appears as a stub.

I dunno, just a thought--figured it would be easier on a lot of players.

Game Help / Orignal FH Soundtrack?
« on: December 03, 2016, 08:02:32 pm »
I'd love to get the original tracks back... Is there anyone who could send me the mp3 files? caves1 and 2, plains1 through 3... all of that.

I heard you could get them by also downloading the original version of FH, but I don't think I could do that/if I did do that it would mess up the updated game.

BUT if anyone could provide the mp3 files that would be great <3

Game Discussion / FH Warrior Cats... is THAT dying?
« on: October 30, 2016, 07:19:22 pm »
I recently saw the topic of is FH dying, but now I have the question of is the warrior cats community on FH dying?

I've most certainly seen much less of them as the years have gone by, and I've been here since 2012. I used to see several groups in Fluorite Plains, always active, always recruiting, and always around. So many new ones cropping up, others surviving for a very long time with steady activity. There are a few warrior cat rps here that are active, one being my own--partially. If anything I've only seen mine, and maybe two or three others out trying to get members.

I've always loved roleplaying warrior cats. Never have I gotten sick of it or hated it. Truly, there is no other place like Feral Heart for the warrior cats community to be a part of and be so immersed in. I just wish there would be more people around for that again, like it was a few years ago.
