Roleplay Theme Ideas

Alright so you've gotten the idea to make a new roleplay group, but you realize
that you have absolutely no clue what the theme of the roleplay could be! Yeah, you
could go with the typical Wolf Pack, Warrior Cat, Lion Pride, etc., but you realize
that you want something new.

Well, look no further! Here is a list (which will be updated as time goes on) of
some theme ideas that you could use! If you have an idea that you'd like to
share with others, post it below and it'll be added to the list!



The List:

- Medieval Times : This could be a really interesting roleplay depending on
how you go about it. Different families, ranks, social classes, etc. would be
completely up to you and could result in some really unique roleplays!
- Pirates : Pirate roleplays can be so interesting! Rival pirates, naval battles,
treasure!
- Elemental : I actually used to be in an elemental roleplay and it was one of
the best groups I have ever been apart of. Spinning off of this, there could
be an Avatar The Last Airbender themed roleplay!
- Super Powers : While similar to elemental, this differs in the way that you could
do more than just control some elements - think The Avengers!
- Urban Legends : Skin Walkers? Siren Head? The Black Dog of Moeraki?! Not only
would this have some fun character to play as, but it could also be absolutely
terrifying!
- Magic : Whether you'd like to tie this into the Medieval Times theme or you'd
like to do something like Harry Potter you will definitely have some fun
with this one!
- Hunger Games/Divergent : I put these two together because they follow
very similar overall themes - oppressive leaders and some action! Go ahead and
create your own names for districts or factions![/font][/size][/color]
Cyber Punk : This could have some really unique looking characters and
could result in some pretty unique futuristic roleplays!

Humans : This one could go any direction as to what you are roleplaying.
You could roleplay POTUS, normal city, or whatever else you could think
of!
Undead : Now this would be one fun roleplay! Another option tied into this
could be the Curse of the Black Pearl - look normal during the day but
undead and skeletal at night!
Heaven and Hell : Angels vs. Demons - now that could have some very fun
roleplay battles and could have a lot of cheeky roleplays of pranks!
Bugs Life/Other Animals : Roleplaying other animals used to be quite
popular back in the day - especially in Bonfire. This could easily be brought
back as quite a few of players are looking for the other animal roleplay!
Dragons : This again used to be veryyy popular! What happened to those
dragons? Either way, this used to be a very fun roleplay and has the opportunity
to still be one!
Video Game : Roleplaying your favorite video game with other people
who love the game could not only be a really fun roleplay, but could also bring
you to befriend a lot more people with similar likes as you!
Infection : Now this could be fun - almost a game idea! But having a group
of rogues fighting against a virus would be really fun! Gives me The Walking
Dead vibes. o.O
Supernatural : Ghosts, werewolves, vampires, witches, and so many more!
It is about time these spooky creatures come together in FeralHeart and
create some spooky encounters!

What about different animal rps? Something different than say, canine or feline. What about birds, dinosaurs, zebras....things like that?

I've done a small handful of Zelda rps, not really an AU but just using pur characters to replace already existing ones. Kinda fun.

Thank you for this thread! I miss the horse RP's in Bonfire, android rp, also infection/virus rps are always fun. One of your characters turning savage while others have to find a way to survive or find a cure.

I loveee all these ideas. I'm personally a big fan of supernatural themed roleplays (witches, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters etc), but all your ideas are great and would definitely be fun to rp. <3
