Alright, I'm seriously annoyed here, so here comes a rant. So, some people were talking to a kit who wanted to join their roleplay. (S)he was unrealistic and had some sort of items, so they kept telling her/him:
"We're not being rude, we're trying to tell you to change your complete character design!" 1. Are you serious? -- People have the freedom to create their own characters. If you don't like them, ask them to make a NEW one and not change their entire character! 2. No, of course, not rude at all.

So, I, being defensive of people's freedoms, of course I nudge in!
Here's how it went. (changing the names, and note that Haunted was talking as well, I just didn't put it in there, also this is the REAL dialogue, I'm reading it from my FH window)

(a wolf--not in the roleplay)<Hawk> Hauntedkit, your entire charry is unrealistic from the colors to the items to the name. He's patiently asking you to change the whole thing all together.
(me)<Hyla> Not to intrude or anything, but Haunted, if you love that character and dislike changing, maybe you could ask to make another character?
<Hawk> Hauntedkit, try for a shade of grey or brown or even white, but anything inbetween is rediculous. Have you read the books?
<Hyla> (No offense Hawk, but calling other people's characters ridiculous is extremely rude.)
<Hawk> ...(and Hyla, I was calling the colros rediculous, but thanks)
<Hyla> It's still rude, Hawk. People have the freedom to create the own characters they want. Hell, I have a blue wolf with eyes all over it and I've gotten yelled at so many times for being unrealistic and stupid.
<Snakepaw NCA> Ok, Hyla. We get it.

Wow. I'm really, REALLY mad about this right now. I just can't believe this. Hawk wasn't even a warrior cat, he was a wolf! Like??? No, you don't have the rights to talk to me either. I went on ranting angrily just now. Ugh. Does anyone else have similar instances/things to say about this??

(edit: oh I just realized I forgot to log out of Birdi on this tab. I should be on Spottedbears. Whoops x-x

The pouring rain soaked the wolves' fur. Their heads low, paws, legs, and underbellies splattered with mud. Without the promise of a meal for about a fortnight aside from the occasional rabbit, they were hopeless. It seemed as if this would never end. Mera, the wolf named for her mirror-like personality, raised her head. "Packs!" she barked, a twinge of hope threading into her voice, "I smell meat!" What didn't cross her mind, either that or she decided to pretend it wasn't there, was the fact that there was something else in the scent -- something dark. As she glanced to the two other alphas, head raised, something glistened in their eyes. Fear. It was the fear from the dark times, not more than a month ago. Could it be the bi-peds, the ones who vanished twenty years ago only to come back and tear down as much land, resulting in the dark times? She shuddered. As the rest of the packs' members raised their heads, it became evident that they were all eager to pick up the pace. "Let's go," Mera said. She pricked her ears and used her heightened sense of smell to track the meat. "Trackers, ahead!" she called. The trackers of her pack trod a few feet ahead of the three allied packs, sniffing out the source of the food. Soon as they made it, finally, the fact that the meat was off was quite evident. In their haste, the wolves ignored it. As they all began to eat, higher ranks gracefully standing aside to let the less fortunate eat first, they remained ignorant to the strange taste and smell. And so the plague began.


Alright, this is an idea that popped into my head during school. I've created a language for sacred things the wolves hold dear-which will come into play only to make the RP unique. I need people who can generally be online when I am, because there will be 2 other pack leaders. This RP will be mapped, literate, and realistic. Manes are accepted -- to a certain point. Ears: No back ears please. Normal, sharp, or ripped only.

I'm planning on making the map myself but I need ideas for the plot.

So far for the plot.. The packs are fighting for resources, for land, anything they can get their paws on. The land is barren and there isn't much to see. There's the occasional clear puddle, but most water here is muddy and disgusting. There are few shrubs and the only prey to be found are rabbits, weasels, mice, lizards, and shrews. Hunting parties stay out for three days or less. A large fire strikes, and they are forced to run for their lives. After traveling for days and days while having the frequent skirmish, the three leaders meet up and ally themselves. The packs travel for days, weeks, until they find the scent of meat. They run to it and eat as much as they can. What they don't notice is that the meat carries the same sickness that killed most of the other animals. They start to drop like flies. Merging into one big group, the sick ones are cast out and left to die. The wolves wall themselves in and whoever is caught with the slightest cough is killed and dragged to the 'corpse den,' far from the pack. Will they survive?

hey so, I've been thinking about telling people about this game for a while now, just never did. Lord of the Rings Online is a free, fun, MMORPG that I've been playing for maybe a year now. I don't have many friends, actually I only have 2, and that's some guy named Cirthwulf and my sister. I'm level 66 almost 67 and I'm willing to help anyone who wants to play! Although, note that it has alcohol and smoking so if you're not into that kinda stuff don't play (although being drunk is awesome, sometimes you faint and wake up in jail). Mapping Tutorials / How to make cool, textured heightmaps

Have you ever wanted to make a cool looking heightmap but don't know how? Well, this is the tutorial for you!
TOOLS: GIMP 2.8, computer, Feral Heart

Alright, first, we should set up a new heightmap as always.



Remember, 513x513 and under advanced options, change RGB to Grayscale.


Alright! Now you should fill it with any color, it doesn't matter what value of gray.


Now, go to the top bar and select 'Filters'

(I couldn't get an image for this) Go down and select 'Render' > 'Clouds' > 'Fog.'



Now. Here's where you'll make your texture. The red area displays how much texture you want. If I put it at 0.1, the texture will be little/none *Note, putting it at 0 causes an error message. The blue area displays how transparent/opaque you want your texture to be. You can also change this on the layer tab of GIMP later on.


Here is an example of the turbulence option at maximum.

okie, i made a story. may have gore and foul language. be warned c;


Against the flushed orange sunset, a lone figure sat atop a rooftop. It was flat built of bricks, like the house that supported it. Unknowingly, the character holding the human figure was being watched by another. His head shone, almost completely encased by the metal hat. He wasn't wearing much armour under that, only a simple padded vest and short sleeved shirt. His legs clad in black cloth, feet in brown leather. Around his waist was a belt carrying a sword carefully encased in a sheath. Swiftly the man got to his feet and quietly stepped along the roof. With a hissing sound, he took out the sword.
It was clear that this man was an assassin, sent to kill the lone person on the rooftop. He looked unpaid, rough, and poor, for he had a ragged and untrimmed style to him. With a few steps left, he raised the sword and took a leap. Right before pinning the person down with the flat side of his sword, he snarled with a curled lip: "Nasty shifter!" and cut the other man's head off before he had a chance to react.

Request a Preset/Marking / Tiger Markings Needed

Pretty simple request. I'd like some tiger markings just for the feline. Black, no real color. I can't  use markings for presets, I can't make tiger markings.. so this is all I need. Basic tiger stripes made to fit the feline model. I'd like them for head, body, and tail. Thanks to whoever can do this!

Discussion Board / IT server preset help

I have made my preset and done exactly as I did before when I made my first preset (that turned out completely fine) but this preset doesn't seem to want to work. I'll give you the codes if you can help. This preset is for the newly released game Shadow of Mine.



All the png files are in media>materials>textures
The Character.material is in media>materials and Scripts because I wasn't sure
