Game Help / No terrain masks

So this happened. I was working on creating a map, when FH decided my week hadn't been eventful enough :'3

After closing out of FH to download a mesh, I came back to enter the map, and recieved this message:

Okay, alarming. Perhaps I made an error saving the map?

Nope, it does to other maps as well. Puzzled with the situation, I decided to restart it, as I hadn't gotten very fall at all and did not mind. Enter problem #2.

My masks were not showing up. I would enter them in map maker...nothing. Not even a 'not found' error. They just did not show up. I logged on and decided to see if it was affecting the default maps as well.

It was. I truly have no idea what happened, none of the files have been altered. Only thing different was the download of a priderock mesh.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a ton of maps and content on my FH and having to redownload it would be a tragedy.

Request Maps / TLK Heightmap/Mask - Simple

Hey there! What brings a map maker to map requests? Lack of artistic talent and newbness in the savannah category. That's what. I've never made/finished an african map, and for good reason. They are the hardest for me! For some reason, my mind cannot come up with a design for them. All I can think of is flat, acacia and a giant priderock. Pitiful. I was hoping that someone could create a heightmap and mask themed after TLK to help me out. If I can see things built into the terrain (rivers, dens, waterfalls, etc) then it will be much easier to go and decorate it with meshes. Sort of like a 'line art' for maps ^.^' The only 'must haves' I can think of, are key points from the movie and such. Lush Pridelands, barren Outlands, watering hole, elephant graveyard, rivers. I don't really care for a jungle or gorge. A place to fit another pride in the Pridelands would be fabulous, but I can also make one out of meshes if you do not wish to or cannot fit it. If you can, thank you ever so much for helping me! Full credit will be given on DA, the site and wherever else the map is shared.

Game Help / Will I keep my maps with the update?

Ahaha....I figured this place would get spammed with questions about the update. Anyways, I have a question <3

I'm a map maker, love me some maps. I've got quite a few that I am working on, and I am a bit concerned that getting the new update may cause me to lose them for some reason. The thread did describe it as more of a Mod than a new game, but I can't help but be a tad paranoid ^.^' Will the download just go over the top of everything I already have, or will re-downloading the game be required? Any help on this would be much appreciated! Thank you ~

The city of Rose Field gets it's name from it's past, having originally been a rose filled forest. After being developed, many of the namesake flowers remained. It's an older, smaller city. Still surrounded by the beautiful forest.
The city, however, has it's thorns.

In a remote city known as Rose Field, humans and mythical creatures alike roam the streets. These people have lived side by side for centuries, the humans living unaware of the supernatural.
But all tides change.
A notorious Mafia has been known to have a branch in this beautiful city, running black market deals behind closed walls. This is no normal Mafia. Their member base not only consists of criminals, but supernatual creatures as well.
With the Mafia on the FBI's radar, further investigation has opened a classified mission and led to the formation of a top secret task force.
Their mission? Destroy the Mafia and neutralize the supernatural to save their city.

Which side are you on?

To clarify: This is a human RP. By mythical creatures, we mean 'humans' with mythical abilities or races. Werewolves, vampires, custom species, certain powers/abilities, etc.

Game Help / A Preset Bump

Hello there! Yes, I am once more in the help thread ^.^' What can I say, you all give the best advice.
So, down to business. I recently auctioned off one of my animted (scrolling) presets over DA. However, after downloading it they said it was failing to export for them. Being unsure whether it was the file/coding or their FH, I had a trusted friend of mine test it for me. Failed for them as well. I've stalked the past threads on this issue, though sadly I've come up a bit empty handed. Plus, seeing as I am not the one directly enctountering the problem, it makes it a bit harder to figure out as well....This is also an issue I've never encountered before, so it is new territory. If anyone is willing to perhaps to take a look over the coding or offer advice I'd be mighty grateful.

P.S: I may be willing to send the preset files to you if you feel you can fix them, but seeing as I'd basically be giving you the preset I will only do so for trustworthy members/staff.

Ahoy there! Welcome to the BTT forum recruitment ad!
Beneath the Tides is a mapped and literate Pirates of the Caribbean inspired Role-play. Though Pirates may be the inspiration, do not expect it to be exactly like it. Some key differences include; The races, the setting, the government and the characters.

BTT is not officially open until this weekend, but we are recruiting via the forums and DA early! Now is your chance to get early seats and a back-stage pass ;3 There are also on-site RP boards set up and the map is finished for those of you itching for some Pre-RP.

The Role-play takes place in the Caribbean Ocean and a few small islands. The two largest islands are home to the Kingdoms Orthia and Sepio, while the third largest belongs to the pirates. (There is a fourth island, though it is rather small and rumored to be used by the Merfolk.) The time period is around 17th and 18th century mixed with Medieval castles and ranks. The government is based on Medieval hierarchy, and ranks are those found on a ship. Captain, First Mate, etc.

RP takes place either on your crew's ship (mostly), on an island you are exploring or at one of the Kingdoms your Captain has docked you at. (There are many places to explore and go adventuring, with new ones being added!) On your ship, RP will mostly be between only you and your crew. However, at Kingdoms and other 'dock' sites, you are welcome to RP and mingle with anyone!
We do have Rogues, but in limited number. This was not meant to be Rogue RP with a bunch of group-less members. Plus, you will not get as much action or guaranteed RP, as you have no group to interact with. Simply ask a staff member whether or not there is a rogue slot available.

What will you be RP'ing as? Lovely question! BTT has it's very own set of Races (or 'species') to RP as! Each have their own set of abilities balanced with weaknesses, and are unique from any other in the RP. BTT is a humanoid RP. This means that while one of the Races does allow you to be an animal, you will be not be able to hold a rank or communicate verbally with other non-animal characters. Powers or abilities outside of your chosen Race is a no-no <3

Game Help / Scrolling Preset Speed

Hello there!
I've recently figured out how to create a scrolling preset! Yay ~
However, I seem to have hit a snag...The image, or 'scroll' goes extremely fast, more so than I would like. Tinkering with the scroll_anim 1.0 1.0 does not seem to work. I am clearly doing something wrong x3 If anyone could direct me (Like I am five please <3) on how to edit this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Game Help / Vanished Meshes

Hey there! I've posted a help thread on this before, but sadly the problem is back and the trick used to resolve it last time is not working. The issue is 'vanishing meshes'. While they'll appear just fine in map maker, when I preview the map in-game they are not there. This usually has only occurred with meshes that did not include a .obj file, and I have had to make a custom group for them. Oddly, that's no longer the case :c I downloaded WulftheWolf's Warrior's Den mesh pack (which had it's own .obj file) but some of those didn't show either.
So, re-cap of my rambling: Meshes appear in Map Maker, yet not in-game. Issue with both custom groups and those with a .obj file. Even if you are not sure of an absolute fix, I'd very much appreciate some tips and input!

Self explanatory...wolf-speak is not smiled upon <3

Mature
This doubles a bit as a warning. You will come across foul language and some suggestive topics. Of course this is not 24/7, just do not be surprised when it comes up. By mature, we also mean that there are no powerplayers/godmoders running around.

Multi-Grouped and Multi-Themed
This....this is the fun part. While we are still one RP, there are multiple different groups to choose from! We all still RP and interact (despite group differences), but offer choices for your character's life. The three genres we are named after? Modern, Fantasy and Sci-Fi.
Are you a danger loving hero? Check out the Police Force.
Blood lusting Vampire? The Ivory Gathering is for you.
Magical/Mythical creature looking to hide amongst the humans? Join Masquerade in their never ending dance.
Best part...? Our groups do not stop here. TTG was designed to be a little slice of the FH community. In the future, we hope to have all kinds of groups. Who runs them? You do! With permission (and after we get to know you) you can apply to host a group in our map under TTG.

Humanoid/Other
By humanoid, we mean our characters look at and act human..though they may not always be. What do we mean by this? Vampires, Werewolves, Anthros (yes, we have those too) and things of that nature. We do, however, have a few animals as well. You can join as either, just be aware that most of us are humanoid. Custom species are welcome, just run them past an Admin for approval first.

Setting
TTG takes place in the year 2033. While humanity has made many scientific advances, they are still oblivious to one thing.
They are not alone.
Ancient creatures both good and evil lurk in the shadows, sharing the world they call home. Are you one of the humans, going about life while trying to survive a world gone mad? Or are you one of the hidden, lurking in the shadows behind a mask?

TTG is considered 'free roam', meaning you can RP with anyone, anywhere and at anytime. Being part of a group does not limit you to only RP'ing/interacting with them. Example: You are on the Police Force, but no one else in that group is online. Now you can't RP

FALSE. We all inter mingle, go up and start RP'ing with whoever is online. Groups are mostly an OOC way of organizing you all.
