Yes, I've ran into this problem a few times as well. And I haven't been in-game a lot (yet). If the scrolling could be changed a bit or if the size of the chat box could be decreased that'd help a lot.

I have had many problems with this myself expecially when you are trying to have a conversation with someone and chat is being spamed, brilliant Idea!

I believe they mean how many chats are remembered as right now it remembers what every one says making it difficult to find something someone has said before it has passed the chat box if that makes sense.

Yes, exactly this. Sorry for the choice of words, I sometimes have trouble choosing the right words. Then it makes sense to me, but it's interpret differently by most others.

Yeah, the idea is to limit the total amount of posts the chat can show. Even if you can block out channels you don't want to see, the insane amount of posts that can be there is, well, insane. If you're using only Group chat, you still have trouble finding the messages when there are too many. Same with Local, and Party. All of them. Separating the channels isn't the problem, the chat keeping every last post is.

As for your most recent suggestion, I thought the background of the chat was already partially transparent? It could also depend on what UI mod you are using, if that is something you are using. That or you could be missing a texture that is the background of the chat box.

That is very strange... Since the first day I joined and downloaded the game, which was in March, the chat's been 100% transparent. Was/Is something missing in the download?
