Recently on my new phone I discovered the joys of browsing the forum while mobile. I was kind of curious if other people browse the forums from their phones so I figured I'd make a thread about it. I like having the forums in my pocket wherever I go, however the forum skin eats up my data quite quickly. Still, it is very convenient. Also makes it so easy to spend a lot of time here, lol.

Even if you can't browse from your phone, how do you feel about having the forum in the palm of your hand?

So if anyone is thinking, " I wonder what ever happened to Sameth lately"

This just a post to let everyone know that while I will still be on and checking the forum, I will NOT be in game at all and I will not be posting on the forum as often due to issues at work. One of our staff members is seriously ill, and with the firing of the other girl it leaves us with only two people to run front counter over the Christmas break. I work in a mall food court, so they need my help for sure. I've been working six days a week and I'm exhausted, and I must prioritize my home and work life with what little free time I have.

Again I will still be here quietly lurking, just not as active as I won't have a lot of time to make posts.

I'm sorry to Lawcere, I promised I would do a preset this month but I won't have time. I'll try again in January.

Kyugima, I am still able to participate in the Secret Santa, so no worries there.

I should return to normal activity after Christmas is over, around the 27th. I'll miss all of the forum shenanigans!

Try doing this, it fixed it for me... I suspect this is caused by a problem with the installer. The problem is that your screen looks like this.


This is the default installation. If you installed it and it looked like this, backup your custom stuff, go uninstall your FH+ and delete the entire file.

I had another go and think I can offer something extra people can do to make sure this works. It seems to have worked for me.

Just in case people don't do this as well because it might not be entirely clear for some people: When uninstalling FH+, use the game's uninstaller. Do not just delete the programs folder or use windows add/remove.

Once you've uninstalled, double-check that the program folder is gone. Then use a cleaning program like CrapCleaner to get rid of any temporary files that might be lurking.

You are now ready to do a clean install. Follow Sameth's instructions, and make sure when you name the directory you use all letters. In other words, don't name the directory FH+. Name it FH or FHPLUS, doesn't matter as long as it is all letters.

Like I said, I had problems on all 3 pcs I tried it on, but as soon as I had used CCleaner after the uninstall, they all started working.

Start reinstalling it until you get to that point in the installation.


Type this into the box instead of the default location. C:\FHPLUS or C:\FeralHeartPlus or something similar.


Now bask in the glory of a beautifully working FH+.

If the screen is still black in maps be sure to log into the regular FH and move your character to Bonfire island before logging into FH+.

 The game's default "go home" position is Lonely Cave, which does not exist in FH+, so it traps you in maps! To get your existing characters into FH+, go onto FH and then change your home into either bonfire or the cape then log in to FH+ from one of the locations,or click "go home" to warp to whichever you chose. Okay, I decided that my previous tutorial for 6 colored masks, while extremely effective following my terrain tutorial, is completely useless on other programs and for people who don't work with layers. Also, some of you already have your terrain done the way you like to make them, which means they are one layer. This tutorial, while not as pretty as my other one, is for you.

I am making this assuming you already know how to do a simple 3 color mask.


Step 1: Load up your terrain. You'll want this for a reference. Put it in RGB mode.





Step 2: Begin making your mask using Red, Green, Blue, and three other colors. Save as a .PNG called "mapnameMaskWIP"






Step 3: Fill in all the colors except for Red, Green and Blue with black. Save as a .PNG called "MapnameMask"





Step 4: Reload "MapnameMaskWIP.png". This time fill in Red, Green, and Blue with black. Change the other three colors into Red Green and Blue. Save it as a .PNG named "Mapnamemask2"





Step 5: Run the mapmaker. Enter the terrain and "mapnamemask.png". Keep pressing the right arrow where the terrain textures are until the mask option becomes blank. Enter " MapnameMask2.png" here.


Congrats! You should be able to use 6 terrain masks with no problem
