*~*~ Howl and Roar ~*~*

This is not a complaint thread, but an enhancement thread for the new ability to howl and to roar, hopefully you will agree with these ideas just to make it that little bit better.

*~*~ Howl ~*~*

# Pitches; All howls sound the same currently, which is wierd when you hear your huge muscular canine cry out with a rather feminine howl. With the pitches idea, you'll be able to change how low or high you want your canine's howl to be. To do this, when you are making/editing a character, there will be a bar which you can scroll up and down (the higher the bar the higher the pitch, the lower the bar the lower the pitch), there will also be an option to test your howl to make sure that it is right for your character.

# Volume; You will be able to change how loud or quiet your canine's howl is by using a bar next to the pitch bar, the higher the bar the louder the volume, and the lower the bar the lower the volume. People will approve of being able to have their large canine have a loud and amazing howl that will travel farther distances than a quiet one. Like for the pitches, you'll be able to test the sound.

# Length; You will have the option to change the length of your howl in seconds, and then test it on your canine to see if it is to your liking. People will approve of this idea, since they may have a species that is known for it's long howls.

# Position; I have heard complaints about people wanting their howl to be more unique in the way they do it, so I think being able to change how high the head raises when the canine howls would be a good idea, along with how low the head falls when the howl begins. To do this, when you are in-game, without the head raising and lowering being automatic, you will have to put your head in the position you want to start the howl by having "howl options", which would be middle (facing forward), fairly low (slightly slanted down), low (almost pointing to the ground), really low (strait down to the ground) and under (head starting to point towards the stomach) and then set what you want the head to do when it has reached full howl, which would be middle (facing forward), fairly high (slightly slanted up), high (almost pointing to the sky), really high (strait up to the sky) and over (head starting to point towards the back). This would be an option when creating the character, but you can also change it in-game if you only want a little howl.

*~*~ Roar ~*~*

# Pitches; All roars sound the same currently, which is wierd when you hear your huge muscular feline cry out with a rather feminine roar. With the pitches idea, you'll be able to change how low or high you want your feline's roar to be. *~*~ Rate the Location ~*~*

In this game, you have to look at the persons location that posted just before you, and give them a rating out of ten. Don't forget to tell them why you gave them that rating.

Oh yes, the location can be found by looking at the players profile.

Rules

1) You can have an honest opinion, but please, don't be rude.
2) No swearing.
3) If someone doesn't have a location, still post a rating to keep the flow.

Have fun!

Introduction / Salutations!
« on: January 07, 2011, 12:23:48 pm »
Greetings FeralHeart fans!

I'm rather new here, I heard about FeralHeart on WolfQuest, and decided I'd like to become part of it.

Here's a little list 'bout me.

I adore wolves, dragons, phoenix's, siberian huskies, and birds, generally poultry, game, and birds of prey.

I dislike bears, foxes, apes, big cats, meerkats, and other animals that seem to be most popular with the croud.

My hobbies are falconry (flying birds of prey), drawing (mostly wolves and dragons), mucking around on the internet, showing off my animal identifying skills, and generally having a great time.

I'm currently thirteen years of age, and I wish to be working in wolf conservation when I'm older.

I have two pets, they are two buff orpington roosters (pedigree chickens). One is named Eccles, and the other is name-less. I show Eccles at local poultry shows. I hope to be getting either a harris hawk, or a siberian husky one day. My parents aren't so keen though.

My mother has a english setter and a border collie (Lucy and Ross). Lucy (the setter) is probably the most unpleasant animal I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. Ross is lovely but thick as a brick.

I have three sisters. Two of them are quite pleasant, but one of them is nasty.

I play on Transformice, WolfQuest, FeralHeart, Dragon Cave, Dino Run, and Fly like a Bird. I hope to play on Arokai when it is released.

I'm very excited to play FeralHeart!

I decided to post my opinions on FeralHeart. I do not wish to start an argument, so if you strongly disagree with what I am saying, please put it in a subtle form of typing.

First impression

When I first downloaded FeralHeart, and heard the music, my face lit up with relief that it didn't crash or have a problem downloading. I first heard the music (which is great), then saw the layout. I find that the layout is a little rough around the edges and could look a little more official (if you understand what I mean). I enjoyed sitting and watching the water mill map, it made it look better.

Automatically, I went on multiplayer, but to my surprise it wasn't working. I later found out the reason why.

Character editor

I find the character editor to be excellent. Absoloutly excellent. Apart from the little downside of not being able to save your character, but I'm sure we will be able to do that later on. There was one flaw though. Many of the options don't do anything to your character when you click on it. The 'cool grin' for example.

Map maker

This is too hard. I really would appreciate an easier method of creating maps. The water and hill creating has to be the hardest, I have yet to figure out this. Also, I cannot find the palm tree. And I cannot implemented the sky/weather into my flat-map.

Sky maker

For me, this is impossible, I would really appreciate a tutorial.

Object maker

This is reasonably easy. Except, some of the objects aren't there. Like the palm and fur tree.

Actions

I mucked around with the actions in map editor and I have to say, they are wonderful! I could really have a great time with these! I hope to play around with the expressions in multiplayer soon, but I thought it was a shame that it didn't have an eat or drink action. Or anything to eat or drink from, for that matter!

Well, there you go, my report on FeralHeart!
