haha I'm totally baffled by it too! i've exported the objects and it doesn't seem to make a difference which really surprised me!
You'd have thought the exact items I used on my PC would make exactly the same map on the laptop but it doesn't want to work for me lol.
I'm as confused as a kitty in a dog house on this one.

Thanks for your time though (:

Game Help / My trees shrink!

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this before but it's driving me nuts!

I made a map which has a forest in it.
On my computer it works beautifully!
But as soon as I log into FH on a laptop all the trees are like half the size!
It's not just my trees shrinking, its my shrubs too but everything else seems to be absolutely fine!
I've tried downloading the objects file and the trees file and that does nothing.
I wondered if anyone had any ideas to fix this?

EDIT:

^  The map on my main computer.
This large tree has a den under it.

^ The same tree on my laptop. you can see it's shrank quite a lot and I'm unable to even get my character under it.

(sorry my replies are painfully slow, I been away a lot)

I'm fairly sure everything's exported but i'll go and have another check.

What I did was save the map, then hit export and it said that everything had exported fine.
Then when it wouldnt load in game I closed the game, went back into my folder and copied everything into the objects folder so there's now duplicate files- one in my map folder and one in my objects folder.

That's all I done so far, am I missing something out?

The only objects I used were the objects the game already comes with (default trees and whatnot), but I wondered that since I have to put other people's objects into an objects folder when I download maps if I had to do the same aswell with my own map so I tried it and it makes no differance.
I'm using the default folders.

This is one of my maps, both in map maker and in game.

In map maker I have all the terrains, objects and other what nots I put in there.
But then when I finished the map, saved it and exported it I went in game to take a look around and found that all the trees, rocks, plants and other things I put there were gone.

It works fine in map maker, but it's missing stuff in game and I have no idea why its doing this.

I'm using FH+

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and if so, what you did to get around it (if you got around it at all)
if need be I can make this map downloadable so you can see it for yourself.

I have made maps before and they have never done this, I'm a little discombobulated.

Game Discussion / Re: Methods of Starting RP in FH
« on: May 18, 2011, 01:12:03 am »
I'll sometimes make a cub and run out into a busy area all "Where's my mama?! I can't find her!" sometimes someone will adopt my OC.
It's worked a couple of times :) someone will call my cub over and start rp'ing with me.
I've met a few friends that way  ^__^
saying that though, I don't force my cubs on anyone XD I wait for someone to call me, I wont just latch onto someone all "you'll do! 8D"

Other then that, I find most rp's by keeping an eye on the general chat and if something catches my attention ill join in.

Hmm... I think I like that that you can leave so much to the imagination. There's no goals or objectives, you just seem to end up where ever the RP takes you while still having a visual on your character and the world around em.

sorry, ^^; I went a bit nuts on how much I typed.
