[[ WIP! Will be finished shortly... ]]

Full Name :: Vachir Avalanche
Preferred Name :: Avalanche, Aval
Gender :: Stallion/Male
Age :: The Mature
Breed :: Andalusian
Sub-Breed(s) :: None
Height :: 16hh
Origin :: Blood-born
Rank :: Scout
Appearance :: Avalanche has a short smooth coat that is dipped in white, tinged with a darker grey around his muzzle and legs. His hooves are a sleek black that is often covered in mud, making it appear to be a reddish-brown. There is a thin silver stripe tracing his black along his spine that ends at the beginning of his rear. Aval has thick leg muscle due to all the climbing up and around the gorge, as well as a thick back and chest. His mane is a mix of colors, with it starting at a deep silver from the roots and fading out to a cloudy white or beige, having the length to fall over his neck and shoulders, as well as the occasional strands that cover his rich dark hazel eyes. His tail on the other hand is completely white but has more of a beige tint on the ends.
Personality :: Avalanche is not the most friendly of all horses, yet he composes himself with a respectful manner when it is expected of him. He strives for ambition, being proud of what he does and how he does it, often becoming upset when those get in his way. To him your first impression will always state who you are in his book always being quick to pull a judgement call. Aggression and violence is easily brought out of him if you are not cautious about what you say to him.  Besides his constant hostility, he is extremely loyal to the herd and his leader, Talon, and will go to extreme lengths to make sure that the herd is kept away from harm while those actions are sometimes considered unacceptable. He is skeptical of wanderers who were not born into the herd, always questioning their loyalty and motives. It is hard to dig into his inner heart, opening up his true emotions that have been long since hardened and glazed over. The world itself is a mystery to Avalanche, who he himself wishes to unravel it.
Background :: In a cold and rainy night in the spring, Avalanche's mother bared twin foals, something uncommon and risky among the horse herds. Avalanche was a pale version of his smoky grey brother Notch who was more mischievous than he. The herd thought they would not make it through the harsh days of rain that followed after their birth with little milk available for both of the foals. Oddly, they pulled through and became a healthy pair playing with all the the other foals while their parents watched on cautiously. It wasn't too long after they grew into sturdy juveniles when their father and mother came down with a sickness during one winter, not being able to recover and suffered a painful death. From that day on his brother was never the same, blaming the healer at the time and their new leader at the time, Talon who was only a few seasons older, about their parents death and about how they should have been able to do something about it. As was there a change in Avalanche, his heart grew colder but he knew that the healer had done all that they could have managed though his brother would not listen to his reasoning. At last Notch had reached his peak, seeking revenge on his parent's death in attempt to overthrow the herd by luring them into an 'abandoned' cave that housed a couple of mountain lions. He was quick to rat his brother out before anyone's life was put in danger, his mind filled with utter disbelief as Notch was exiled shortly after without a word. Avalanche grew more aggressive and serious after the exile of his brother. He was determined as ever to prove himself. Years flew by and he no longer finds himself in that position, but is always on the patrol for danger.
Family :: Avalanche currently has no kin in the herd, but once upon a season this statement would have been different. His brother is the only one who is still alive, though as a traitor he has been exiled and roams elsewhere.
Relationship Status :: Single.
Crush :: None.
Extra :: 'Hooves of Rock' (I hope his history is acceptable.)

(Derp, double post)
When the sun start's to shade the tree's, they know the time is right...

A strong heat was seasoning the morning as the sun began to wake. The grass was wet and the air humid, not the ideal combination, for it was very sticky. The dry air blew no wind, leaving the sun to burn on the scenery. The lake nearby where the wild animals drank rippled silently as fish began to grab the bugs that settled on the surface, the odd drop flying in the air and plopping back down. The rich, lush tree's stood grandly, providing shade for the land creatures. The morning provided dew on he grass blades, providing some cool water droplets for the grass snakes to settle in and the odd wolverine to lye in. Pure Oak Herd was hidden in a small forest of yellow, red and orange tree's, the leaves changing as autumn slowly crept up upon them. Summer was starting to mellow, but not quick enough for most creatures. The horses was stirring as the chirps of jays and other summer birds began to slowly sing, the ringing beauty of their voice echoing around the bottom of the gorge. This time of year was so beautiful, despite the heat, but not many animals wish to be around this part of the forest. The horses ruled here and it was not the prettiest of times during the ending of summer. During this time, the recruiting halts, for the leader would never accept any new horses during the end of summer, and the beginning of the breeding season. Ferocity blooms during this time, despite the fact the herd's rules say it does not tolerate it. Talon, the leader, has never yet bared a daughter nor son for the heir of the next generation and this is the year he was hoping for the leadership to continue. Most stallion's get defensive and most mare's get broody, although some are not interested in starting a family at-all. The herd has to rely on Talon to make sure nothing will go wrong during this time of the month, for a disaster would be tragic for the new born foals. The leader has to make the trip up the gorge along with his deputy or a scout to make sure it is a safe enough path, but nothing can be done about the mountain lion's that prowl around each corner. The horses just have to wish to the heavens for their safety.

The rule's count more than ever in the late summer, and so the leader need's allot of help from his Deputy to make sure everything is in order and that they will be able to make the trip up the gorge a success. The scout's must be on their guard more often and the healer's to be practicing their healing to be top notch in case of a sever emergency. Foal watcher's must keep on their guard in-case of a sudden danger. The herd must stick together and trust each other if they are to make it through the most important season of all.

Let the role-playing begin!

Full Name: Micah.
Preferred Name: Micah, but some usually call her Mic, or Mich.
Gender: Micah is a mare/female.
Age: She is an adult.
Breed: Micah is in fact a Mustang.
Sub-Breed(s): No, she doesn't have an sub-breeds.
Height: She is about 16.2 hh,
Origin: She is a wanderer, and joined the herd a few days ago.
Rank: May i be a deputy, bit if not i'll be a mother/foal watcher.
Appearance: She is quite a stocky horse with lovely brown eyes, she has a luscious black mane and tail that are almost like silk and will have the odd tat in, nicely kept for a wild horse if you ask me. She has large, strong hooves that can do some damage if needed and good for when shes running. Her pelt/fur is a lovely dark brown/bay color, with her also having black socks and she does have black around her muzzle.
Personality: Micah is quite the stubborn mare and never usually back down from a challenge, not even if it could risk her life, she is also quite brave and daring but that does not mean she isn't scared of anything. She is scared of death she hates the fact all living things must die, and does get scared when her herd/band are in danger/under attack. Also she is quite the feisty/aggressive mare and she often throws her weight around, hence she us quite the large muscular horse. She does tend to be cocky at times and have a bitter attitude sometimes causing her to get into trouble usually with the leader. Now lets get off the horrid side of her and onto the nice side, at times this mare can act like a big foal and prance around the fields with no care i the world. Usually galloping up the hills are rolling around in the dirt, rearing and bucking and running through water. She has a love for foals and that's why she wants the role of that rank in the herd, but also because she is practically like them apart from being a lot larger and older.
Background: The season had came and it was time for the breeding to start. A fairly sized herd lived amongst the hills, in secret for a while. A large bay stallion ran the herd and it was his job to reproduce with the mares. Star a Favorited mare of the herd was the first to become pregnant and she to was also a bay horse. Many months passed and Star gave birth to a beautiful bay filly, the two horses were very proud in the foal they had produce. They decided to call her Micah. She was one of the favorite foals, towards those who hadn't had any or the elders, because of her unique temperament. Many days passed and she began to grow smarter, larger, stronger and even more curious. The months went on and she began to turn into a beautiful girl.
A year later she still lived in her parents herd and she enjoyed it, she thought she would always like with them in secret but she was wrong. Once day many humans came in trucks and on horse back, they began to chase the herd. The band ran staying together for the many miles they ran. Humans began coming in left, right and center causing the herd to depart, and nearly all were separated. Using her skills and what she learnt she ran through the forest and the long grass coming to a small area filled with hills where she waited for an hour or so, then going to look for her herd. To her surprise she couldn't find any one the herd anywhere, her heart dropped as she assumed they were lost or had actually been caught. In time she decided to join a new her, but she still sees many lone horses around that do look like some of her old herd members and even her parents. Which makes her wonder, but she'll never know.
Family: Well she assumes her family are dead hence she hasn't really seen them since she was a foal, she does see the odd horse around that does look a lot like one of her parents, but until the day she socializes and finds out the sooner she'll find out if it is actually them or not.
Relationship Status: No, she is single but interested.
Crush: Well she doesn't really have a crush yet as she needs to get to know the stallions better.
Extra: 'Hooves Of Rock'.

I hope it's okay to post. I loved the intro, Rainbow!))

Cecelia

Cecelia watched as the other horses of the herd began to stir and wake up. She had already been awake, paranoid that there would be an attack on the herd at anytime. She was lying in the shade of a tall tree that was looming over her, keeping her cool. The day was unbearably hot, the sun's rays were not shielded by a thin layer of cloud like they usually were, and there was no wind to cool the dry air. After a few moments of hesitation, Cecelia got up from the grass and stretched, relaxing the tense muscles in her legs. She shook her mane, letting it fall over her eyes to shield them from the glare of the sun. She walked around the herd, she did this every morning to ensure everything was running smoothly and nothing was out of place. She snorted as she saw the odd grass snake slithering amongst the long grass and she attempted to chase them away, only resulting in her tripping over her own hooves. The mare felt her snout twitching as she inhaled the pollen from the few dandelions she had accidently crushed as she tripped. Cecelia held her breath, trying to hold in the sneeze that was rising from the back of her throat. She gave in after a few agonising moments of holding her breath, sneezing loudly and possibly waking up the majority of the herd. She tried to escape to the lake, resulting in her stepping on many other horses and receiving grumbles in return.

Amazing art by JimMoriarty! Thank you so much! <3

The young foal had been relaxing, resting against an oak wood tree as her weary brown orbs blinked slowly. She had really just awoken from her peaceful slumber- having been frolicking and running all night under the protection of the herd was tiring- and made the young one sleep most of the night, only waking up to dizzily watch horses snuggle down to go to sleep. Inxis gave a small snort, wiggling her body from the tree and letting it collapse sleepily against the soft green grass. She had even opened her mouth to chew a few strands flying too close to her mouth, but she had just laid happily and content as she tried to wake her young body up. Slowly, she opened her mouth in a small yawn, blowing her rebellious tan mane from out of her face, her fluffy tail swishing behind her as she wiggled a bit- trying to get up from the floor. She had rolled upwards, once again leaning against the tree but instead now using it to help her balance her firm legs. Her rump rose up in the air, and she wiggled it slightly as she used her front hooves to push her small figure upwards. Once she was up, she stretched a little, looking around as she kicked out her back legs to test them out. It was another hot day- she had noticed, and she grumbled slightly as she looked up with a glare. The sun was going to be an annoyance today, wasn't it? The foal had looked around, seeing the rest of the herd awaking as she gave a sigh. Her eyes scanned the various other foals that were waking up with their mothers, and she gave a small lower of her head as she gave a small frown, tail swishing once more before she began to nibble lightly on the delicious green, ripe grass below her, savoring the taste and flavor.

( Thanks for accepting me, Rainbow! And nice intro. C: )

Viska Whisper

Everyone wants happiness
No one wants pain
But you can't have a rainbow without a little rain

Rays of sun made Whisper blink, her eyes opening for the first time since she went to sleep. She was already standing, her knees locked to prevent herself from falling during her slumber. A lush pine tree loomed above her, providing shade although letting certain dots of sun get through. Wispy strands of white hair fell into view at the top of her eyes, and she cocked her head to the side to relieve her neck muscles. Whisper snorted softly as she spotted her twin brother, Smoke, a few feet away still sleeping under another pine. His dark mane fell down across one side of his neck, swaying gently with the calm breeze. The white mare picked up one leg at a time to ensure she could balance easily when she walked. She then walked the few paces it took to get to her brother and nudged his cheek lightly to wake him. When Whisper was satisfied he was truly waking up, she wandered away from him toward where she had last seen the majority of the herd.

The first horse Whisper saw as she approached was a chestnut-colored mare--Cecelia, the Deputy of the herd. She was walking around inspecting the herd, Whisper guessed. As she stepped out from beneath the shady trees, she immediately thanked her mother for giving her the white coat she had. Any black-colored horse would have been unbelieviably sweating on the hot day. After inspecting where the majority of the herd was, Whisper stepped back into the shade of the trees and went to scout around to see if any dangers lurked while the horses slowly awoke into the sunny day.

Ryka Smoke

First they ignore you
Then laugh at you
Then they fight you
Then you win

As Smoke's eyes fluttered open, he could see Whisper's light-colored tail disappearing behind a thicket of trees. For a moment, he stood there staring at the spot he last could see her and then stretched his leg muscles. A slight breeze caressed the stallion's cheek, and he turned to face it, inhaling as many as the scents as possible. After a moment or two, he started out after the trail Whisper had left from--toward where a majority of the herd were resting. He gazed at the scenery as he went, trying to memorize every little detail. When he reached the herd, Smoke stopped to look around. Whisper wasn't to be seen--probably off scouting like she was supposed too. He strolled through the throng of bodies carefully, trying not to disrupt any horses from their needed sleep. The warmer months were starting to leave, Smoke knew, and that meant that soon enough the herd would travel up the gorge. It was never too soon to start preparing for the trek. It was certainly rare for many horses to fall off the ledge. At least since Talon's mother's death. But everyone knew mountain lions often hid among the rocks and injuries occurred. If that happened, Smoke had to be ready.

(@Taylor- EDIT: Great application, Taylor! Accepted.)

(@Everyone- Sorry for the delay on my post! I have been busy with raking my brain for a job idea when I am 18. And I finally have the answer. C= Plus, I will change this into a RP post.)

?Talon 'Sagittarius Talon'?
Deep, slow, heavy breathing was emitting from the Andalusian stallion whom was fully awake and staring at the large lake, glistening in the late summer morning rays. Talon often shifted his weight as sounds behind him told that a few of the horses where beginning to awake. He stood up straighter as he began to slouch, not wanting to give the herd a idea of him being tired. The leader had been awake half of the night, looking for danger's that could have been approaching. The slightest noise had awoken him, just to see one of the mothers shifting in her sleep. By the time it was three in the morning, Talon could no longer close his eyes. The constant waking up was driving him crazy, so he decided to watch over the herd for the rest of the night, making sure his ears where like radars so any mysterious sounds could be chased off.

The night had been long, the odd cricket singing and the often rustle behind him giving the motivation to stay awake. He wanted to stay awake so he could prepare his herd for the day ahead, but that could not stop him being drowsy. Talon started to rest his eyes, thinking through the regular dreams he had dreamt. They were friendly by the bit's he can remember, but the heavens where desperately trying to break into his thoughts at night but a strong burden was on the mature stallion's mind, causing a blockage for the heavens to communicate. Talon realized he was starting to fall to sleep, and in a attempted to stay fully awake, he breathed in deeply and let out a loud, low sigh. There was a uncertain air around him as glimmer's of light began to shine above the top of the gorge, the sky beginning to turn a deep orange. He knew by the colour of the sky there was going to be a heat-wave. Talon flicked his tail roughly and leaned his body forwards, his neck bent and his muzzle to the grass blades. He took a deep in-take of air through his nostrils, a combination of pollen, autumn leaves and strong heat filled him. The day was going to be unbearably hot, but they had the lake to stay by and the grass to graze on so they should be able to keep themselves at a good temperature.

A few hours had passed and Talon was still standing strong, the horses behind him beginning to awake with the light of the day piecing through their eye lids. The heat had rose to a higher level and the stallion was becoming restless. He began to shake his head from the sweat which was starting to accumulate and decided he needed to move towards the lake to cool down. His body was as hot as an oven, for he had stood under the sun for a long time whilst looking out for his herd. His heavy body swayed as he walked, his hooves moving in a perfect motion, his muscles compressing in his shoulders and thighs with every step. Dew dripping grass blades licked his hooves and cannon's as he went. He picked up his pace into a trot when he was a few meters away from the lakes bank. There was a distant beat of hooves coming close up behind him. Talon paused and turned his head around to see the approaching horse full on. It was his father, Harkus whom had apparently followed him. "Hello father" Talon said in a well mannered tone. "Do you need something?"
Harkus shook his head, the elderly horse beginning to show signs of being under weight.
"Son" Began Talon's father in a mature, sensible tone. "Have you been having unusual dreams, like something is trying to break into them? Something like a message is trying to paste itself on your brain?" Harkus said, flicking his tail upwards as he spoke. Talon looked at him in a strange fashion. What was his father going on about?
"Dad, what do you mean? Nothing strange has been going on and certainly not in my dreams." Harkus gave him a stare in disbelief, but realized he had no right to call the leader a lyer. Giving a nod of his head, the elderly male turned around and swaggered back to the herd. Talon was unsure of what his father meant, but something was strange about his dreams. Talon's mind flashed back to his father and how poorly he was looking. He was becoming thinner by the day, even though he grazed non-stop. Talon knew the time would come that his father would pass, but he refused to believe that it would be soon. The stallion moistened his mouth with the cool, refreshing water of the lake. He swallowed, the liquid settling in his stomach and refreshingly, it cooled him down. More than half of the herd was awake now and most where beginning to scout, bid a good morning to each other and race towards the lake. Talon snorted in amusement as he saw that Cecelia was the cause for a few awakes. Whisper and Smoke, both reliable and trust worthy sibling where beginning their morning routine of checking the boundaries and practicing healing. Through the shaded tree's, Talon could see Inxis grazing upon the fresh grass. The stallion was blessed to be leader of such a trust worthy herd, but as the day would drive on that trust would be put to the test...

Cecelia
"Sorry" The chestnut mare whispered multiple times as she finally reached the lake. She watched as the sun slowly rose up and over the hills, a warm breeze blew around her and she made the most of it, tossing her head to cool down her mane. She changed from a slow walk to a steady trot. She had to stay on duty.
Every once in a while, she would see a horse she knew for the herd and she would politely nod her head in greeting. Her hooves splashed in the shoreline as she trotted around the outskirts of the lake, checking for any signs of danger. At last, she slowed down to a walk as her favourite meadow came into view. Her eyes settled on Talon, and she bowed her head in respect, "Sir" She said in greeting, looking up through her lashes at the stallion.

-Sorry, very short.-
