If your wondering why they are called fetches and fetchlings, i have absolutely no idea.
So what are fetches and fetchlings?
They are a mix of A Gryphon, dragon, wolf or cat. (Fetches have wolf in them, and fetchlings have cat in them. Due to their small size.)
Here is a image of a fetchling that i made in SPORE. (I fixed the images, hopefully..)

So those are some screenshots that i took of them in the game SPORE.
EDIT: There are now strict rules that you will have to follow in order to keep the permissions for fanart, your fetches and fetchlings, fursuits, etc.
RULES: Rule 1: Fetches and fetchlings are a SFW only species, ERP, NSFW art or NSFW anything with a fetch or fetchling is not allowed (People that are caught doing ERP, making NSFW art of fetches/fetchlings will be punished!)
Rule 2, Any fetch or fetchling that looks similar to Rodney, Ruby, another fetch/fetchling, or Electron will have to be changed, this is to prevent alot of fetches/fetchlings that are lookalikes, said characters are also © Chalshi, Ruby, and Electron, and may not be copied. Rule 3, Fetches/fetchlings cannot be hybrids. (two or more species combined)
Rule 4. You may only make 1 fetch/fetchling a week, this is to prevent mass amounts of fetches/fetchlings from being made. Aaaaaannndddd the most important rule.... Feel free to make a fetch and/or fetchling! Just make sure you follow the rules!
